How to get rid of old email in app store?
I have currently changed email addresses so my original email address is no longer in service. I have gone through and changed it to a new email address in the iTunes store and my Apple ID. There is a new update for the Facebook app that I keep trying to download on my iPhone 4, but whenever I try to put in my password for it to start updating, my old email address comes up and there is no way to change it. HELP!
Delete the app and re-install it. It is still associated with the old email because that is the one you used to download it in the first place.

How to get rid of old email address
Using Mail on iPad, if I try to address an email to myself, it pops up with two pre-fill options....one of them being my old and no longer useable email address. I tried finding the back up files for my iPad to see if I could locate the invalid email address and delete it. The old address is NOT in my address book nor is it still in settings for email accounts. Any suggestions to help with this annoyance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advanceTo the best of my knowledge you can't delete/remove them without restoring the iPad back to factory settings (which is somewhat extreme) - I havn't yet found a way and I've seen a few other posts asking the same thing. You can try leaving feedback and maybe we'll get a edit function one day : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

how to delete old emails in app store?
Yes, I am with KJ, I have no real idea what you are asking about. The app store does not usually have email involved with it.

I have an app in my app store that is requiring an update but I never purchased the app and when I click update, another apple ID pops up that is not mine. Now i keep getting reminders to update the app and I cant get rid of it from the app store. Help.
You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
In the Finder, press the key combination command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu initially showing Kind. From that menu, select Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select Raw Query and click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of popup menu. Click in that box and paste (command-V).
The search window will show all the App Store products you've installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test. -

what i meant to say, if i didn't say it clear enough, was how do i get rid of old documents and emails that are not currently in my document folder or in my email inbox.Select the email/s you want to get rid of and then select delete. When all the emails are deleted, select your Trash mailbox, select all the emails and then select delete.
Documents you can drag to the trash (lower right side of Dock). Then empty the trash.
Then stop down to your local bookstore and get some books on Mac OS X. -
How to I get rid of old email addresses connected to my Apple ID?
Apple is always serving up old email addresses and asking for passwords. How do I delete these old email references on my apple account?
Apple is always serving up old email addresses because you have downloaded apps with more than one Apple ID. All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. It is not possible to merge or transfer apps downloaded with one Apple ID to another.

How do I get rid of old email addresses that pop up when I want to send an email?
When I try to send cerate an email and enter a contact, old email addresses pop up for the contact that are no longer current. I would like to delete them so only the most current address pops up but I can't find a way to delete them.
There is no facility for this in the Mail app. Over time, they will move to the bottom of the list, so they sort of go away on their own, but there isn't a delete option.

How to get rid of old addresses in Mail?
I run Mail on two machines ( system 10.3.9)
When I start typing in an address ( in a new message) the suggestions pop up with various names etc. Often some of the suggestions are old addresses that are no longer valid and are no longer in my Address Book.
I have deleted or changed addesses in the Address Book, but these old email addresses still seem to hide somewhere and it is quite annoying.
Not sure how rid of theses pests.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
ElfijiWelcome to the Discussions.
Collecting addresses to which you have sent is the function a special address book called Previous Recipients. To learn about managing it, both to remove, and to actually add to the primary Address Book, see:

How to get rid of old folders from Network window?
I'm not sure if this is a network question or a Finder question ...
In my Network window are a bunch of old folders, left over from a couple of MS Windows machines that I touched at some point but will never meet again. I can't delete them. Their permissions are set to read-only. I tried to give myself delete permissions with chmod but was told it was a read-only file system. So how do I get rid of these old items?
Thanks for the help.
PalomaI have more information which my be helpful. I think the directories which are created in /Network are in part originated from a list of previous workgroups.
Open Directory Access, authenticate, then select SMB/CIFS and click Configure... . The top menu displays a list of workgroups. What I seem to get is a list of all the workgroups I've ever been connected to and this list largely corresponds with the directories created in /Network. Sadly, you can't delete these workgroups from Directory Access.
More intriguingly, the directories go away when I'm not connected to a network so somewhere in the system there is a list of workgroups stored away. The only problem is where? I heven't been able to determine this yet.
Also, I think workgroups and domains may be interchangeable here. -

In reviewing and updating add-on using add-on manager the manager screen shows two copies of adobe flash player --- 11.9 latest version and and old version 9.0....... How do i get rid of the 9.0 entry. The plug in for 9.0 doesn't show up in my control panel for installed programs.
Thanks.
Also of what value is the java deployment tool kit.(1) You should be able to uncover the location of the other plugin from the '''about:plugins''' page (type or page about:plugins into the address bar and press Enter).
(2) If it ''doesn't'' show there for some reason, on 32-bit Windows, Firefox generally finds the Flash Player plugin using registry entries that point into the Windows folder:
C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
The plugin files have the name following the pattern npswf...dll and the most recent should have a name similar to NPSWF32_11_9_900_152.dll. Can you find the old one there and delete it?
(3) If the obsolete DLL file is not located there, either, it may have been dropped into the Firefox program folder. On 32-bit Windows, you could check for it here:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\plugins
(4) Still not found? In that case, you might need to look into the Windows registry for the information. -

LR Watermarks are applied during Export. So to “remove” them you should re-export pictures without watermarks enabled.

Can't get rid of old email address
Since purchasing my iPad, I changed internet carriers and changed my email address. If I go to iTunes & App Store in Settings on my iPad, it still says my Apple ID is the now invalid email address. Can't get pass that point. Wants me to put in a Password for that ID that no longer exists.
Created a new Apple account to no avail. The last thing that you want to do is to create a new Apple ID since purchases are always tied to the Apple ID that was used to make the purchases. You want to change the old Apple ID email address to the new one.
Did you follow these instructions to change your Apple ID?
Change your Apple ID - Apple Support
If you followed those instructions and all went as it should, you can sign out of your old ID in settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID. Then sign in with the new ID. You should also take a look at this.
