How to get rid of these icons?

It is possible to remove these little icons at the top of my computer? If so, how? (From left to right) They are "Screen Sharing", "Backup", and "Bluetooth" icons.

Hold down the command key, click on the icon, and drag it out of the menu bar until you see the "poof" cloud.  Then let go.

    I have the applications folder in my harddrive and then the one that I moved to my desktop when I first got my computer.
    Where was the one that you moved to your desktop before you moved it to the desktop?
    I really don't understand what you're trying to say. If I have a folder in A, and I move it to B, then the folder will be in B. There is no duplication. I still have only one folder, only the location is different.
    Furthermore, your desktop is on your hard drive. Everything is on your hard drive.

  • How to get rid of folder icon for multiple bookmarks showing in bookmark toolbar - takes up space

    Firefox 4 added a folder icon to any bookmark that had multiple bookmarks. The arrow was enough from previous version - now the number of bookmarks shown across the top - single OR ones that pulled down to show the multiple ones in it - is cut in half. How to you get rid of these stupid little folder icons?!!!!!!! Not only do they have this new icon, but they still have the side arrow.

    So, I see that 28 other people have responded that they have this same problem. Isn't SOMEONE associated with FireFox going to address this?

  • How to get rid of white icons on ipod touch 4th generation

    How do you get rid of white icons on the ipod touch 4th generation.  I tried resetting it already.
    Thanks,

    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • How to get rid of these reappearing invisible e-mail drafts?

    I have a pretty crappy problem with my iPhone.
    Basically, if I begin to type an e-mail message (doesn't matter what e-mail account I use) and stop typing it (where it makes a draft), if I cancel/delete that draft and never send the e-mail, the draft still exists on my phone somewhere I can't see. How do I know this?  Because, just about every day, I'll get some notifications in the notification center re: those messages being unread/unsent.  Clicking on those messages will pull me into the draft I was working on, but tapping "cancel" again (instead of send) on the draft will no longer prompt the dialog confirming I want to cancel and delete the draft.  It just exits the message.  Modifying the draft will cause the prompt to show up again, but clicking delete does not get rid of the draft on my phone.  Sending the draft does not get rid of it either.  It will reappear later.  It's like OOOOOOOOOKAY!!!
    I have 3 e-mail accounts on my phone and it happens with ALL of them.  One of them is POP and the other 2 are Exchange based.
    I reproduced it again yesterday with my Comcast POP account, this time actually saving the draft and deleting it for kicks.
    1. Started typing an e-mail message.
    2. Decided to cancel the e-mail message.
    3. Prompt occured to delete or save the draft.
    4. Selected delete.
    5. Draft appears to be GONE.
    6. Sometime later, in the notification center, my draft will show up there.  I can tap the draft in the notification center to be taken back to it.
    7. Tapping cancel at this point will just exit out of the draft.  Sending the draft will send the e-mail message but it will appear in the notification center later.  Typing more text on the draft, hitting cancel and delete will still cause the draft to show back up later in the notification center.
    I've also tried a varation of saving the first draft, going into the drafts folder under Mail and deleting the draft there... but it comes back.
    I really don't know what to do at this point.  May try a erase all content and settings then reconfigure everything.
    What's funny, also, is these drafts are searchable in the spotlight but you can't find them normally in the Mail app.
    If anyone has come across this issue before and knows of a fix, please let me know!!  I'm going to try a backup of my iPhone, tonight, and restoring from backup before a fresh reconfiguration.  I pray it works!!!
    Edit:  Forgot to add that I also deleted all the e-mail accounts and readded them too.  No fix!

    I have the same problem, those "deleted" drafts always appear in notification center.
    I don't like the solution by erasing the contents/settings and restoring from backup. I simply "clear" from right corner in notification center, but not sure if that "clear" function is just a cover-up, or it actually deletes those weird drafts.

  • How to get rid of annoying icon

    So I just installed an update to acrobat 9 standard and now there is a big pdf icon overlaying my desktop in the upper right corner. It appears to have  no purpose other than to annoy me. How do I get rid of it? I'm on Win 7.
    TIA

    If it's simply an icon, then try deleting it from the desktop.

  • How to get rid of Veriface Icon at Log In Screen

    When I boot up my Yoga2Pro in Windows 8.1, I get the sign in screen to enter my four-digit Pin. If I hit the left arrow, I go to a screen which has my "guest" account and then a Veriface Icon.
    Is this the normal default?  I don't remember the Veriface Icon being there before, or maybe I just didn't notice.
    Is there anyway to get rid of the Veriface Icon without uninstalling the program? I could not find Veriface in my start up menu, and when I opened the program I could not find any settings. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Ended up uninstalling program. Issue gone. Seems to boot a little faster not that it didn't boot fast before.

  • How to get rid of update icon after updating apps

    So, since updating to iOS 7, I've noticed that any apps I update now show a small round blue icon next to the app name.
    I get that this is supposed to let us know which apps have been updated, but is there any way to get rid of them all at once?
    So far all I've seen is that you have to open each updated app one at a time to get rid of it.
    Thanks in advance.

    There is no way of doing that

  • How to get rid of modem icon on the menu bar?

    Migration Assistant was very helpful transfering all my relevant settings from PowerBook to a new PowerMac but it also placed a modem icon on the menu bar. Trouble is I do not have a dial-up modem and would like to remove the icon now. Does anyone now how to do it? Clicking and control-clicking the icon only brings out a short pull-down menu with no option to remove the icon. Nor could I find anything in Network Preferences.
    Thank you.

    If it's like other menu bar icons, you can Command-drag it off of the menu bar (or to change its position).
    The actual switch for modem icon display is in Network Preferences, Internal Modem network interface, Modem tab.

    Go to Solution.

    Is it a regular yellow mail icon?  If so, go to Messages.  Hit the menu key and select "View Saved Messages."  If there is nothing unread in there, do the same thing and select "View Folder" and check each and every folder until you find the message.

    Can any one help me to sort these wornings out.

    'Deprecated' means the method has been scheduled to be removed from iOS and you should not use it.  If you continue to use it, your app will break when a user of your app upgrafes to a new version of iOS that no longer supports it.
    The method 'setText' has been designated as 'Deprecated' and you've used it in your app.
    In the case of 'setText' for UILabel,
    you should modify your code to something like this:
    UITableViewCell *cell;
        NSString *cellValue;
        static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell";
        cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
        if (cell == nil)
            cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
            cell.selectionStyle = UITableViewCellSelectionStyleNone;
        cellValue = @"This is the first line of text in the cell";
        cell.textLabel.text = cellValue;
        cellValue = @"This is the detailText that displays below cell.textLabel;
        cell.detailTextLabel.text = cellValue;

  • How to get rid of printer icon on the dock ?

    I have noticed that when I print a document, an icon for my printer appears on the dock. Unlike in the Tiger OS, this icon remains on the dock after printing is completed, taking up precious dock real estate. This occurs for both my Brother and Canon printers.
    Is there a pref setting that I can make to have the printer utility close automatically after printing is completed so its icon doesn't remain on the dock? Thanks.

    Control-click on the printer Dock icon and select Auto Quit.
    Regards.

  • How to get rid of these others from my iphone

    Very disgusting these others consuming **** of space. can anyone help me to remove these others from my iphone????

    Settings App > Music > Show All Music > turn toggle off. Restart music app. Or is that what you tried?
    If so, go to Settings > Cellular > switch music and iTunes off. Keep in mind that you'll need to turn this back on to shop/download from iTunes.

    you didnt seem to have configured the datasource / connection pool / database control with proper db properties
    you should check your configuration to see if you have done it right and then you should check your application and the properties settings in the controls to ensure they are right.

  • Can't get rid of carbonite icon from menubar

    Got rid of carbonite and it no longer appears in my system preferences. However it is still in my menubar at the top right and it has an x through it. How do I get rid of that? Any help appreciated.

    When I couldn't find a Carbonite folder in Applications (I had previously trashed it) I Googled how to get rid
    of Carbonite icon and found a way to find the hidden Carbonite folder.
    I had to:  1/ Control click on Finder on the dock and select ‘Go to Folder’.
                   2/ Typed /Library/Application Support/ into the window that appears.
                   3/ There was the Carbonite folder with 4 documents in it.
    I moved the whole folder into AppZapper free demo application, and BOOM icon's gone.  I had to restart to see the icon was actually gone.  AppZapper is pretty cool too.
