How to get rid of these others from my iphone

Very disgusting these others consuming **** of space. can anyone help me to remove these others from my iphone????

Settings App > Music > Show All Music > turn toggle off. Restart music app. Or is that what you tried?
If so, go to Settings > Cellular > switch music and iTunes off. Keep in mind that you'll need to turn this back on to shop/download from iTunes.

I have restored to factory with no luck. is there a memory cleaner or process to eliminate what is not needed in Other? • How do I get rid of the "other" from my iPhone?

I know this question has been asked a lot. I've tried deleting all but my most important text messages, deleting apps I hardly use, limiting the music I keep on my phone, and I always keep my pictures before 300.
The "other" on my phone is at 3.81 GB which I know is way too much. I am constantly deleting things from my phone so that I have space if I need it but the other is very annoying.
I read somewhere that if you do a complete restore and don't use a backup, the other goes away. The only thing is that I have conversations that I need to save and if I restore my phone without a backup, I will lose them.
Anyone have any other ideas? Or any way to save my messages without the backup?

Actually, "Other" can never go away.  It includes, among other things, the iOS itself.  The smallest it can get is roughly 1 gigabyte.
"Other" includes deleted emails that are still residing in your trash, as well as actual email messages.
You might have one or more corrupted apps on your machine.  Carefully consider which apps you restore once you perform the cleanup, or the "Other" will once again grow large.

Cant get rid of repeating future events.  I deleted the calendar with these events but now I still have these "ghost" events showing up!! How to get rid of these and not have forever!! Really irritating, wont use repeat events ever again!! Have this problem on iphone and ipad even though deleted calendar from both!! Which BTW deleted my email connected with it too which was really irritating.

Where was the one that you moved to your desktop before you moved it to the desktop?
I really don't understand what you're trying to say. If I have a folder in A, and I move it to B, then the folder will be in B. There is no duplication. I still have only one folder, only the location is different.
Furthermore, your desktop is on your hard drive. Everything is on your hard drive.

  • How to get rid of /j2ee prefix from URL when I use the OC4J via Oracle HTTP server

In 9iAS 9.0.2 Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is pre-configured to assign requests to the Home OC4J instance via the URL-prefix "/j2ee"/
For example, the TEST servlet under OC4J would be passed through OHS using:
    http://urmachine:urApachePort/j2ee/TEST
whereas in the standlone OC4J version, this URL works:
    http://urmachine:urOC4JPort/TEST
How to get rid of /j2ee prefix from URL when I use the OC4J via Oracle HTTP Server?

It is getting the url prefix from mod_oc4j.conf
    under /ora9ias/Apache/Apache/conf

  • How to get rid of old folders from Network window?

I'm not sure if this is a network question or a Finder question ...
In my Network window are a bunch of old folders, left over from a couple of MS Windows machines that I touched at some point but will never meet again. I can't delete them. Their permissions are set to read-only. I tried to give myself delete permissions with chmod but was told it was a read-only file system. So how do I get rid of these old items?
    Thanks for the help.
    Paloma

I have more information which my be helpful. I think the directories which are created in /Network are in part originated from a list of previous workgroups.
Open Directory Access, authenticate, then select SMB/CIFS and click Configure... . The top menu displays a list of workgroups. What I seem to get is a list of all the workgroups I've ever been connected to and this list largely corresponds with the directories created in /Network. Sadly, you can't delete these workgroups from Directory Access.
More intriguingly, the directories go away when I'm not connected to a network so somewhere in the system there is a list of workgroups stored away. The only problem is where? I heven't been able to determine this yet.
Also, I think workgroups and domains may be interchangeable here.

  • How can I get rid of duplicated tracks from my iPhone?

Hello! I recently acquired an iPhone and have been adding albums to it from my iTunes library. I then started adding artwork to my albums on my iTunes library to make it look more interesting upon playback. However, this has somehow resulted in many tracks being duplicated on my iPhone - even though no duplicated tracks can be seen in my iTunes library for me to unclick and try to resolve manually. My playlists in iTunes appear tidy, and have been re-synching these along with the newly acquired artwork to my iPhone. But everytime I do this it just adds more and more duplicated tracks to my iPhone. I am becoming frustrated. Is there any way I can get rid of these duplicated tracks from my iPhone without deleting my iTunes library?

remove them from your playlists in iTunes and then sync.

  • How do I get rid of these ads from my computer

I recently installed a few things on my macbook pro (which I'm now realizing was stupid) and now on safari certain words on different website turn up green and double underlined. When you scroll over it, and ad pops up like this:
    https://31.media.tumblr.com/936ade744cdf810d5183c964b6805e63/tumblr_n6038pXqzb1r 7oq4wo1_400.png
How do I get rid of it? I already emptied my cache and cookies and checked for any unwanted extensions. I set my safari security setting to block pop-up ads, and I installed ad block. They're still there!
Also, I tried finding the source and I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I'm 95% sure I deleted everything I installed earlier, but that didn't solve anything.

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How to get rid of these reappearing invisible e-mail drafts?

I have a pretty crappy problem with my iPhone.
Basically, if I begin to type an e-mail message (doesn't matter what e-mail account I use) and stop typing it (where it makes a draft), if I cancel/delete that draft and never send the e-mail, the draft still exists on my phone somewhere I can't see. How do I know this?  Because, just about every day, I'll get some notifications in the notification center re: those messages being unread/unsent.  Clicking on those messages will pull me into the draft I was working on, but tapping "cancel" again (instead of send) on the draft will no longer prompt the dialog confirming I want to cancel and delete the draft.  It just exits the message.  Modifying the draft will cause the prompt to show up again, but clicking delete does not get rid of the draft on my phone.  Sending the draft does not get rid of it either.  It will reappear later.  It's like OOOOOOOOOKAY!!!
I have 3 e-mail accounts on my phone and it happens with ALL of them.  One of them is POP and the other 2 are Exchange based.
I reproduced it again yesterday with my Comcast POP account, this time actually saving the draft and deleting it for kicks.
    1. Started typing an e-mail message.
    2. Decided to cancel the e-mail message.
    3. Prompt occured to delete or save the draft.
    4. Selected delete.
    5. Draft appears to be GONE.
    6. Sometime later, in the notification center, my draft will show up there.  I can tap the draft in the notification center to be taken back to it.
    7. Tapping cancel at this point will just exit out of the draft.  Sending the draft will send the e-mail message but it will appear in the notification center later.  Typing more text on the draft, hitting cancel and delete will still cause the draft to show back up later in the notification center.
I've also tried a varation of saving the first draft, going into the drafts folder under Mail and deleting the draft there... but it comes back.
I really don't know what to do at this point.  May try a erase all content and settings then reconfigure everything.
What's funny, also, is these drafts are searchable in the spotlight but you can't find them normally in the Mail app.
If anyone has come across this issue before and knows of a fix, please let me know!!  I'm going to try a backup of my iPhone, tonight, and restoring from backup before a fresh reconfiguration.  I pray it works!!!
Edit:  Forgot to add that I also deleted all the e-mail accounts and readded them too.  No fix!

I have the same problem, those "deleted" drafts always appear in notification center.
I don't like the solution by erasing the contents/settings and restoring from backup. I simply "clear" from right corner in notification center, but not sure if that "clear" function is just a cover-up, or it actually deletes those weird drafts.
