How to get rid of timestamp when taking notes in preview?

Hi,
I frequently annotate (using the 'take note' function) when reading pdfs and I would like to get the date and timestamp off of the notes when I am taking them. Is there any setting where I can "disable" the date and timestamp from appearing? So that way, the notes will only have my notes on there and not the date and time at which I took down those notes?
Thank you!
Bryan

you can prevent your name from appearing but not the date (Preview > Preferences > General)
to remove; select the date, time and delete (trebleclick and press delete)

  • How do get rid of "STARTPAGE24" when I open a new tab

When I start Firefox Google is my home page but when I open a new tab the page is"Startpage24. My antivirus does not like this and I want to get rid of STARTPAGE24. How do I do this.
Firefox is my default browser but If I am unable to do this I will be compelled to use another browser.
    Thank you
    PB

Startpage24 is a browser 3-rd party extension developed by Link64Gmbh . This might be installed due to '''express installation ''' of some of software, which cause to changes the startup page.
To remove this from your browser do like this :
Press '''A''' simultaneously while holding '''CTRL and SHIFT''' key(CTRL+SHIFT+A)from keyboard(You will be reached on Addons section). Now from plug-in(if not then search on extension) tab search it and remove it from there.
This will helps you to remove it completely from your browser. If you didn't found here this one then goto '''Control Panel''' in your computer > '''Programs ''' > '''Uninstall a program''' . from here uninstall it (look for any toolbar ) and follow next steps suggested by the uninstaller.
Again goto browser and open menu (right top side) > option > Startup >Hompage . Change it to other sites or use empty tab .
    That's it.

    Hi user,
I'm not 100% sure but you could check whether af:document uncommittedDataWarning property is set to true. If so, try setting it to false.
    Hope it helps

    ~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Delete the selected item, if it exists.
Now select Go to Folder… again and enter:

  • How to get rid of "Acrobat Pro is not currently your default PDF reader"

    Hi,
I am testing 3rd party crypto suite integration into Acrobat. Each time I fire it up it pesters me again to set the default PDF handler for OS X to Acrobat Pro which I never, ever want.
Is there any way to get rid of this massage? If not, I'd suggest the decision makers for this suffer from loading an 1000 page+ crypto standard document in Acrobat when it fires up :->
    regards,

There should be a check box in the dialog box that you are seeing to set it so that this dialog is not shown again.

  • How to get rid of message "Backup disk not available"?

I use an external disk for Time Machine.
I switch the disk on every couple of days. In the mean time, I get a warning message every hour that:
"Time Machine could not complete the backup, The backup disk is not available".
How can I get rid of this message? It is really becoming irritating.

that kind of beats the purpose of TM backups, which are usually happening on an hourly basis. if you intend to continue this way, you might as well forget about TM and rather create a bootable clone of your startup disk every couple of days. Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper will even allow you to do incremental clones.
another option would be to change the frequency of TM backups using _*Time Machine Editor*_.

  • How to get rid of ._songs when trans to cell phone?

I use a microSD to play mp3s on my LG chocolate (I know... i'll get an iPhone one day!).
The only problem is, if I drag-and-drop 30 songs to the card, when I use it on the phone, I now have 60 items, with 30 of them being duplicate titles with "._"
in front of the title and no way to delete them. These files do not play, of course. I am thinking they are not really "there."
I tried loading TinkerTool and showing invisible files on the card, but there was only 1, a DS store(?)file that I deleted. Didn't help. Is there any way to take care of those pesky pseudo-duplicates?

    Anyone?

  • How to get rid of hiss when/noise/static using EarPods on MacBook Air'13 (and other macs)?

I still haven't found any solution to that and i love my EarPods. That's a big discomfort, especially when listening at low volume, which i do quite often.

I think what you are hearing is just air flowing around in the room causing a very similar white noise, I noticed this myself when using the "EarPods" on my Macbook Pro. It could also be caused by a damaged Audio port or the Earpods audio jack itself. Twisting the jack while inside the port may help if this is the case, but I would first highly recommend trying to wear the Earpods and then covering your ears and see if the noise goes away, as twisting could potentially cause damage. If covering your ears seems to remove the sound, then it would most likely just be airflow. If neither work and persist, I would then recommend trying to return the Earpods, or getting a new In/Out for your Mac. I am experienced with music production and sound design so if none of these solutions work, please let me know. ~SirFox

  • Write-Progress display - How to get rid of it when complete?

This seems straight forward, but I haven't seen/found the answer...
My progress bars hang around too long.  I would like them to go away when complete, but they don't always.
Typically the Write-Progress is within a loop, and it works.  Then imediately after the loop I add "Write-Progress -Complete", but that doesn't seem to do it.
    What am I missing?

Not sure, but I don't think so...
There is only one instance of the write-progress cmdlet.  It executes many times within the loop.
Another question comes to mind... what is the -Completed argument for?  Should write-progress be called with that argument to close the display?  Or, when is that argument appropriate?
    I see Write-Progress twice:
    While( -NOT $Script:RecordSetG.EoF )
    { #...Some code
    $intCounterL ++
    If( $intRecordCountL -gt 0 )
    { $dblPercentageL = 100*( $intCounterL / $intRecordCountL )
    $intPercentageL = [int]$dblPercentageL
    $intSecondsLeftL = ( $intRecordCountL - $intCounterL ) / 24
    <em><strong>Write-Progress</strong></em> `
    -Activity "Building mailbox objects..." `
    -PercentComplete $intPercentageL `
    -SecondsRemaining $intSecondsLeftL `
    -CurrentOperation "$intPercentageL% complete" `
    -Status "Please wait."
    }#End If
    }#WEnd
    <em><strong>Write-Progress -Completed</strong></em>
I was suggesting eliminating the second one.

  • How to get rid of "Delivery costs have not been cleared" status = MM_EKKO

    Hi dear experts,
During pretreatment of MM_EKKO archiving object (TA: SARA), I get an amazing huge amount of PO position which can not be archived due to "*Delivery costs have not been cleared*".
I tried several ways to find out how to solve this issue but without any success.
Point is that we do not clear delivery cost regarding those PO positions, but delivery cost are transfered directly to a global account.
It means that those PO's won't never be cleared.
Any ideas about how I can fix this issue?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Yep,
no idea why, but when I uncheck the "Final Invoice" box save and went back into the same PO and check again the same "Final Invoice" box, then, as a miracle, SARA=>MM_EKKO=> Pretreatment knows that this document is cleared and can be archived.
It is just that for now, really old PO's are located in the present residence time
I hope this slyness will help someone else one day.
    Regards,
    Daniel

  • How to get rid of an unwanted grey bar in preview mode

Hi, I am trying to create a mobile site for a client, but when I preview how it looks I get an unwanted grey bar (see image) I started out with the default size and got the problem, so I tried increasing the width but it hasn't worked. Thanks for any help given:)
Also the menu bars don't look the same size, is it something I've done?

It looks like you are using the Muse preview...I use to have the same problem...2 things
1.) Make sure you don't have any anchor points on either side of the website (sometimes they are hidden so you may need to highlight the area)
2.) the other option is to just upload the site (or to a testing site) and check it on your phone sometimes its just a bug in the preview.
    Hope that helps.

You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow Apple Support's instructions to remove it.
If you have trouble following those instructions, see below.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. This procedure works as of now, as far as I know. It may not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
              com.something.daemon.plist
    and
               com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable string of characters, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes it's a meaningless string such as "e8dec5ae7fc75c28" rather than a word. Sometimes the string is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
    /Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
              com.something.agent.plist
where the string something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
    Open this folder:
    /Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
               something
where something is the same string you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
    Finally, in this folder:
    /System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
                v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name; it doesn't vary. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.
