How to get rid of "Waiting for Activation" on old iphone 3G?

Ok I just upgraded to the new 4 & planned on giving my old 3G to my son to play games, music, photos etc.
I'm in the process of re-syncing it with everything for him
But there seems to be a message on the screen "Waiting for Activation, this may take some time"
How do I get that to go away as I will NOT be activating this phone again, but it will basically be used like an ipod touch?

Turn Airplane mode on followed by turning on wi-fi access.
The no longer activated SIM card will need to be inserted in the iPhone to restore the iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed and to install a firmware update or to complete the process - the SIM card that was used with the iPhone when it was activated.

How to get OIM workflow waiting for a task successfully completed?

The requirement is to get OIM provisiong workflow pending and wait for a external status ready. When the external status not ready, I return "REJECTED" which mapped to "P" in "Task->Reponse" tab. Meanwhile, in the "Task->General" tab, I set the "Retry Count" to 5 and "Retry Period in Minutes" to 1.
I have hoped that once the task return "REJECTED", the workflow enter status "Pending". One minute later, the task re-instanced by OIM to have another check for whether the external status ready. If ready, return "COMPLETED". If not yet, return "REJECTED" and workflow re-enter pending. And on and on, until to max to 5 times attempt. But in fact, OIM workflow never attempt to re-enter the task again after the 1st time "REJECTED" returned.
How to do with this?

Hey, I have been using my iPhone 4 for just over four months now, and I hate how the camera works...
Every time I take a picture, it flips it and makes it look like a mirror reflection or something. I don't like that at all. It exposes the unbalances at my eye level.. makes it look like a lazy eye..The only solution I had up till now was using Instagram, but they updated their app, and now it flips the picture as well.
Can somebody please provide me with an app that will take a picture and NOT flip the photo that's saved to the library?

How to Get Rid of Update Option on an App, iPhone, iPad etc...

Dear Apple,
I understand this is not possible, yet!
Please fix this one annoying oversight/bug you have had for ever. The option to "Update All" is great but it's useless if you have one or more apps that you don't want to update. Not everyone wants to update everything, agreed? Why not give us all an option to select an app that we wish not to be included in our updated list of apps to our devices such as our iPhone, iPad etc...?
For example, I have Splash id, 4 since 2008, if I do an "Update All" which is crucial (because I have many, many apps to update at a time and I like to update them all at once on my WiFi once every month or so) I'm forced to update Splash to version 6. I don't want 6 because this version is "not compatible" with the Desktop Version! I use the desktop version everyday to sync all my new passwords etc....
In order to make the Desktop version work I need to pay Splash yet another $10 to upgrade? I'm happy using my old version, it works fine.
So because you don't have an option to exclude this app with the updates, I have to sit there for hours just updating my apps one by one?
Appears to be an easy fix, how has this slipped by you for sooo long?
There has to be many of you out there experiencing this problem. If this post goes viral maybe Apple will see it and do something about it?

How to get rid of an apple id from a iphone

I gave my sister my old iphone to get a difrent phone and when she got a new sim recently I keep getting popups to add the number to my ipod's facetime , imessenger ect. she was using my apple id and then made a new one and just signed in to her phone. Erasing the iPhone is the solution; there are at least two ways to do that, though.
The second one is, go to icloud.com and login with your Apple ID and password. Go to "Find My iPhone" and click "Devices." From there you'll be able to erase the iPhone. All the magic will happen as soon as the iPhone has internet access.

How to get rid of autocorrection for msn?

Hi ive been trying to disable the auto-correction since its been bugging me when i use msn since i chat in french or english therefore if its set in english and i chat in french the correction is irrelevent and vice versa. I've disabled the auto-correction on the system prefference and on the msn spelling thing... but it still offers the correction and unless i click on the X, if i continue to write it will auto correct...
any clue on how to fix this ?

AFAIK Photoshop is not linked in any way with Apple's iCloud. So either you somehow linked the 2 together or it is not Adobe Photoshop you are trying to open.
Maybe Apple's Aperture or iPhoto?
If it is PS then select Yes and let it connect then once PS is open go to the Preferences and Un-Link them. Maybe in the Sync Settings in the preferences?
Or in the Plug-Ins section you have "Enable Remote Connections" checked?
Or in that same section you have "Allow Extensions to connect to the Internet" checked and you have a iCloud extension (Plug-in) installed?

Waiting For Activation, help needed.

Hi, I have bought a iPhone 3G 8GB from ebay. I have checked the IMEI number on "checkmend" and there are no reported problems. It is apparently on o2 but I want to unlock it for use on Vodafone. I have bought a o2 pay as you go sim card so that I can get it unlocked properly but when I insert it I get the message "Waiting for activation, this may take a while" but it never goes until I press "dismiss" then it just says "No Service".
Under the carrier menu the only provider listed is Orange but under the "phone" menu in settings the last box does say o2!
Can anyone help? I've tried googling, restoring the iphone, uninstalling and re-installing itunes. Does anyone know what the problem could be or better still anyone know of a solution?

No way to tell really - I am always suspicious about 'the worlds largest,best, greatest ' etc checkers of anything. The four/five UK carriers all operate an IMEI block agreement between them and somehow I doubt that they would give up that information to a small company operating out of a Coach House in Gloucester
That said, who knows - its practically impossible to tell where a phone came from - you are not the first to ask by far! The others didnt manage to find out either.
