Hi! I am trying to code a psd to html. My psd has vectors masks, Drop shadow and outer glow effect with few of the text and colured layers. How can I produce same effect in dreamivewer? Also I was unable to set opacity for my div in dreamviewer? If anyone can explain brieft then this would be great

Look up css3, as this will do some of the effects you mention. However if you are not proficient in coding html and specifically css then you will find doing what you wish difficult, (web design is not graphic design).

i'm having issues with the upgrade, like lots of others it seems. we have all done upgrades before, and they always start buggy, patches and fixes are soon on the way...they usually figure the largest ones quickly. my issue is, i was unaware they (Apple) was dropping PowerPC support for things like Photoshop.
i've briefly searched the 'web and found nothing for sale that runs in the new OS. they all list compatibility up to 10.6.8. were we all caught unaware, even Adobe, or did i miss that boat?
i used my Photoshop nearly 3 days a week, and miss it alot. any assistance would be appreicated.

How to Get a Photoshop CS2 Legally?

Call it a bit old school (very old)... but In our workplace, we really needed the Photoshop CS2 especially the photomerge function.
Since CS3 to newer model, the Photoshop Merge does not work well with our need.
It tries to merge automatically... which takes some time to some point of hanging.
Result is not always perfect.
Just a background.. we take picture of an IC semiconductor under an optical microscope at x20, x50 and x100 objective and merge (stitch) them together. We use more manual stitching because some areas could have no distinct point of overlap and manual placement is necessary.
Anyway, I post here because I want to have a Photoshop CS2 without violating any laws.
Or if I could just have the CS2 photomerge function, we are willing to pay a reasonable amount.
What I want with CS2:
=> can save photomerge (.pmg)
=> does not produce goofy pictures
=> easy to use
Note... we do not require blending (almost seamless stitch)...
we just want precise position stitch as to no information on image will be distorted and missing.

Yes, you can install one license on two machines, but legally only the one person to whom it's licensed can use it, on one machine at a time.

How are we supposed to know? We don't know anything about your computer nor your file and folder structures. If the file was saved properly, it may appear under File --> Recent fiels in the menu, but we really cannot know any of that.

The easiest way is probably to use Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation and check the "Colorize" checkbox, then select the Hue and Saturation of the color you want.

Several ways to get similar results. Image > Adjustments > Posturize with low values similar to what you'd use n Cutout. This is the most flexible way I can think of as you keep the image in RGB mode with layers intact. A more radical approach would be to reduce bit depth using Indexed Colour. You'll need to experiment with settings, try changing Forced to Primaries, and Matte to Foreground Color. There's no going back from this route, although you can change the mode back to RGB to re-enable layers, adjustment layers etc.
A nice thing about the Filter gallery filters is that you can change the layer to a Smart object with all the control that gives you.
Now if only this forum could filter out bizarre content.

I found a post from Alope that told me exactly how to fix it.
Go to:
Settings - General - Restrictions - put your pass code in - Facetime - turn the switch to ON
Worked perfectly to stop the message that said, Not authorized to do that!

How to get AEGP_EffectRefH within the custom effect?

    I want to get the AEGP_EffectRefH of the custom effect applied. This is what I'm trying to do:
In global setup of custom effect:

After getting the plugin ID, I do this in a function to get the AEGP_EffectRefH:
I call this function when the custom effect is added:

about the reliability of effectRefs:
they are reliable for the duration of one call.
i.e. for the beginning to the end of the render call or updtate_params_ui call.
after that cal has ended, the effectRef is likely to become invalidated.
do an experiment:
get an effect's effectRef, and check it's address in ram.
releast the effetcRef and get another effectRef for a DIFFERENT effect.
check it's adress and you'll be amazed that it has the same address as the first.
why is that?
because it doesn't point to the address of that effect in ram.
it's an internal id that allows AE to operate on the effect for you.
so that same effectRef you have, might point to a different effect or to nothing at all, once AE decides that the effectRef you acquired is no longer in use.
AE will decide that after you release the effetcRef, or that you effect returns from it's call.
so what does all that mean?
it means you should treat effectRefs and a temporary key for accessing an effect, and NOT as a long term means of identifying and effect.
there is no perfect solution for tracking an effect for long spans.
if you want to keep track of an effect outside the scope of one call you have to:
1. get the itemID for the comp it's in
2. get the layerID for the layer it's on
3. get the effect's index on the layer (this is the tricky bit)
the comp's itemID and layerID both last for the lifetime of the project.
they will keep across sessions, even if the project is loaded on a different machine and a different platform.
these only get invalidated if the project is imported into another project.
the index of the effect is the problem bit.
there is no API call for getting an effects index.
you can only tell the index by counting all effects on the layer, until you hit the desired effect.
even then it's hard to tell because you tell what effect you hit by reading it's matchName.
what if you have to copies of the same effect on one layer?
how do you tell them apart?
it's up to you to create a unique identifier.
either a hidden slider holding a random value that's unique to each instance, or change the effect name to something unique (the user might change that without you knowing)
the last problem with the index is that the user might change effects order on that layer, and your effect get no notification of that having happened.
so even if you stored the itemID, layerID and effect index, you still have to make sure it's the correct effect before you do something hasty like access it.
as i said,
there is no perfect long term solution for tracking effects.

You can connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, that should copy it over to the Movies part of your library.
Depending upon what country that you are in, and whether the film studio allows it, you might also be able to re-download it on your Mac via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

the alv output will display the sum at the last row.
for this functionality u have do this logic.
data: lw_fcat type slis_fieldcat_alv.
data: lt_fcat type slis_t_fieldcat_alv/
wa_fcat-fieldname = 'AMT1'.
wa_fcat-tabname = 'ITAB'.
wa_fcat-do_sum = 'X'.
append wa_fcat to lt_fcat.
and then pass it to reuse_alv_grid_display function,

I am trying to formulate an update query for a flag table in our database which contains dates, and flag columns. Currently the system have dates for the next ten years. The flags are updated with values 0 or 1 if a particular date falls under the required criteria.
I need to update flag column for the same day of the month in every year. e.g. 2nd Sunday of October. The value should be updated to all years in the table. Currently I am using the following query to update the current year.
UPDATE FILTERCALENDAR SET YEAR_WINDOW=1 WHERE c_date = NEXT_DAY( TO_DATE('OCT-2013','MON-YYYY'), 'SUNDAY') + (2-1)*7;
and for next year Like
UPDATE FILTERCALENDAR SET YEAR_WINDOW=1 WHERE c_date = add_months(NEXT_DAY( TO_DATE('OCT-2013','MON-YYYY'), 'SUNDAY') + (2-1)*7,+12)-1;
This is not an excellent way to do it as it does not take care of leap years and it does not scan and update values in the whole table for all years correctly.
Can any one help me to resolve this please.

If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
In the case of a DML operation (such as UPDATE) the sample data should show what the tables are like before the DML, and the results will be the contents of the changed table(s) after the DML.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
