of course you can. use tx. ST03N, switch to expert-mode and look for total (month) and check transaction profile. you might want to investigate this transaction a bit more.
i forgot to mention: standard setting for the recording of these data is 3 month. but you can change that if you want to.

Hi,
We have a requirement to get the "Sales" value against a quarter. We have 2 tables "Time" and "Sales". We want to display the Sales value against each quarter.
But this should happen as follows.
Consider quarter Q1 it should display the value of 3rd month, Q2 should display value for 6th month and so on..
If in any particular Quarter we dont have a value for last month then it should display the value for 2nd month, if 2nd month value is also not present then it should display 1st month sales value.
We are using excel as the database.
Please let us know if anybody has a resolution to this.

hi,make an other column which will be the flag for the last months you want to be displayed...
so ,in reports,you pass it as hidden column(by filter only the ones which have the appropriate flag),and then voila...

I have told to do the following can you please help me out.
In SM35 created many batch no. The user would like to know automatically when the session is not ok (error status).
In return of the first program RSBDCBTC_SUB we will get the queues ie QID and QSTATE.
I have told to create new Z-prog.
In that Z-prog how can i get list of QID from the result (Output) of the first prog(RSBDCBTC_SUB )?
How i get that particular QIDs in my Z-prog?

Could you please provide details information below to help us better understanding your requirements, thus we will be more effective to provide an solution:
What is the format of the period date you want to get, is this date in the DB and you want to filter it based on the month and the given Date?
Did the month and given date are two parameters in the report? if possible, could you please provide some sample data in the DB and also the snapshot of the report structure
I assume you want to get the period date(mm/dd/yyy) between the select month(e.g:Feb) and the given date (10/1/2014) and you should get the date between(02/01/2014-10/1/2014).
If so,and you also have two parameter "Month","EndDate"(EndDate is the given date), please reference to details information below:
You can create an new parameter "BeginDate" (Date/Time) which is the begin date of the period, you can use the expression to get the value based on the value of the month and the year value from the given date,finally hide this parameter:
Specify the available value:
Label:=Parameters!Month.Value &"/01/"& DatePart("yyyy",Parameters!EndDate.Value)
Value:=CDate(=Parameters!Month.Value &"/01/"& DatePart("yyyy",Parameters!EndDate.Value))
Specify the default Value:
Value:=CDate(=Parameters!Month.Value &"/01/"& DatePart("yyyy",Parameters!EndDate.Value))
Add filter to the dataset as below:
Preview you will get all the date in the given Period:

How can I determine this information dynamically, i.e., when report is run, let us say in Dec 2009, it will show me 12 columns: Jan to Dec 2009, but if report was run in Dec 2010, it will show 12 columns results from Jan to Dec 2010.

I just would like to know how to get the numeric equivalent of the Year and Month if the given format is like this....

where:
31 is the Day
May is the Month
07 is the Year
Is there a function in ABAP to do this? I wouldn't mind hardcoding for the Month, but what I'm after is the year.... they only gave me 2 digits for the year... and I would like to extract 4 digits from it... do ABAP still recognize it as '1907'? I think not...

or 1937 . or 1947 .. so on,
so just put a logic based on this. Just hard code as
lets say value is 31-May-07 (9 char field)
Case field+7(1).
WHEn 0.
concatenate '200' field+8(1) into year.
WHEN 1.
WHEN 2.
WHEN 3.
jsut code like this and check the syntaxes.

How to get name or unix id of last switched System Events process?

I am writing a script to be used as an idle function to send a command to a process as soon as it's not frontmost anymore. So far, I can figure how to get the unix id or name of the frontmost process, but not of the previous process . Here is what I have:
on idle {}
my handleProcesses()
return 5 --- '5' tells idle () to run every 5 seconds.
end idle
on handleProcesses()
tell application "System Events"
set FrontApp to (get name of every process whose frontmost is true)
set PrevApp to (get name of previous process)
end tell
--- my command here, like tell PrevApp to hide...
end handleProcesses
My problem is that "previous process" is not in the System Events dictionary. I cannot use "frontmost if false" either, because this would return all other opened applications, not just the previous one.
I know one partial solution would be to use Command-Tab, get the name of frontmost, and use Command-tab again. But, it's not really pratical nor elegant.
What I need is a function which can get my frontmost process name (which is easy), and return it when the process is inactive (no more frontmost).

You can do what you want if you maintain a record yourself of what used to be frontmost:
tell application "System Events"
set FrontApp to (get name of every process whose frontmost is true)
set lastFrontApp to FrontApp
repeat while FrontApp = lastFrontApp
set FrontApp to (get name of every process whose frontmost is true)
end repeat
set BackApps to (get name of every process whose frontmost is not true)

I have a assignment to find out when some programs where last executed in the past 2 years or so. My question to the profs here is as follows? What are the possibilities in ABAP to out when a Program (report) was last executed? Is there a function Modul that can give you when a program was last executed? OR is there a table to show you when a program was last executed?

How to get the first day and last day of the last month?
I used this, but it returns Jan 1st 2010
Firstday:
select TRUNC(SYSDATE,'year') from dual
Lastday:
select LAST_DAY (ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE,-1)) from dual

That would be:
SQL> select TRUNC(ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE, -12),'yyyy') from dual;
TRUNC(ADD_MONTHS(SYSDATE,-12),

SQL> Your attempt worked because we're still in january, but starting next month it wouldn't give you the desired output.
Also if you can avoid using 'year' or 'month' it is advantageous as you're not relying on NLS localization settings that depend on having your database running in english.

How to get data in ABAP program from multicube in external BW system

     I want to get data from one multicube which resides in an external BW system, in my ABAP program internal table. Is there any SAP standard RFC / BAPI for this or is there any other way around or I have to design my own program to get the data ?
    To make my requirement clearer, my ABAP program is in one BW box and the above mentioned multicube in another BW box. I want to get data from the multicube into my program.
    Any help is appreciated with points.

Look at the following FM; you may find the FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_RFC useful.
Call the FM in your program and read data and update.

How to get variant of SUBMIT program to the main program.

In my ZFRFI00R_PRINT_DOCUMENTS program i am using
SUBMIT zfrfi01r_alv_fi_document
using SELECTION-SET sp_vari
with p_comp = gw_bkpf_key-bukrs
with p_year = gw_bkpf_key-gjahr
with p_doc = gw_bkpf_key-belnr
and return.
So in the main program i created one layout field to get the what are all the layouts in the SUBMIT program.
I am using FMs 'REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_DEFAULT_GET' , 'REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_F4' to get default layout from the SUBMIT program.
It is not showing the layouts which are in the SUBMIT program when i press F4 in the layouy input field in the selection screen of the main program.
Can anyone help in this regard?

1st have a bootable tested clone no matter which choice you make. In order of ease they are:
Upgrade is the easiest. If probs, clone back.
Then try Archive and Install.
More probs, now you will have to Erase and Install.
No poster ever had to erase and install. Upgrade worked for the vast majority.
Do you have a particular reason for wanting to do E&I? If you have system probs, maybe get those fixed 1st. The forums are an excellent help for that.
