How to get the current month value for a customer exit variable?
And also if we have an InfoObject with date value (including date, month, year), then how to derive the month value from this date type of Char.?

Does anybody know how to get the current month number in Oracle Discoverer Worksheet calculation?
I try to use EUL_DATE_TRUNC(CURRENT_DATE, 'MM'), but instead I got 01-AUG-00.
If I change the data display format to MM, it will give me "08" but if I use TO_NUMBER function to convert it to number I get error "invalid number"

How to get the list of values for a dynamic parameter using Web Services SDK?

I am struggling to get the list of values for a dynamic parameter of a report.I am using Java Web Services SDK ... I tried to use PromptInfo.getLOV().getValues() method but it does not work.First of all ... is this possible (to get the list of values for a dynamic param) using Web Services?Second of all, if this is possible, how should I do it ... it seems it works fine when running the report from CMC. It asks for DB logon info and after that it provides a list of values.Thx 

Your assumption is correct. We are trying to get the LOVs from the Crystal Report. I was not aware that this is not supported by Web Services SDK.We used Web Services SDK to integrated the Crystal Reports in our web application. We implemented some basic actions for reports: schedule, view instances, run ad-hoc reports.We encountered this problem when trying to run/schedule reports with dynamic parameters (a list of values from DB). We were unable to get the LOVs.Please let me know if you can think of an alternative to look at.Thanks a lot,Catalin

You could peek at the widget indicated in your screen shot, at least when that MDI (?) frame is showing.
The window title at kLayoutPresentationBoss, IID_IDOCUMENTPRESENTATION also reflects the value.
Probably best would be the kLayoutWidgetBoss, with its IID_IPANORAMA, GetXScaleFactor() - and GetYScaleFactor()!!!
I just try to imagine how a document would look if these differ from each other ;-) and, even better, how to achieve that from the UI.
Btw, one notification is on kDocWorkspaceBoss, protocol IID_IWINDOW, command kUpdateDocumentUIStateCmdBoss.
Another one: there is a kDocWindowTitleModifyService ...
Edit: of course I should again mention IID_IPANORAMA, observable from kLayoutWidgetBoss subject.

I am working on the financial reports i am failing to derive the Current month from the variable based on infobject 0FISCPER3 PERIOD .
I would also like to get the same month from the prevoius year. Any ideas?

If I understood correctly, you need in your repot
Current Month Plan This year || YTD Plan This Year || Current Month Plan Last Year || YTD Plan Last Year
Your variable 0I_FISCPER3 must be on the object 0FISCPER3 which is nothing but just the Fiscal Period. This variable is a user entry mandatory Interval variable.
if you are entering a range in the input screen for this variable, you will get cumulative values. If you just need to get the value for a month in first column your report, you will have to create another variable of type Customer Exit which will read the "To value" entered for the variable 0I_FISCPER3 and columns for Current Month should be restricted on this variable.
if you are entering a single value in the selection screen of this variable, current month column should be restricted on this variable with "Equal To" operation and YTD colmns should be restricted to "Less Than Equal to" operator with this variable.
0FISCPER3 just have posting period and not year, so you will have to use varialbes for 0FISCYEAR separately.
Please let us know if it helps or if you are using some other variable based on 0FISCPER3 or 0FISCPER.

If you want to get the selected values you can do it as follows: The Combo Box value you can get from the combo box. If you want to get it on the change event, you must make sure that you check when BeforeAction = False. If you want to get an Option Button value you should check the value in the data source attached to the option button.

This is my requirement, kindly do the needful, Please dont gimme any links i've no access for other sites, gimme the right solution.
My Requirement :
Creation Date (VBAK-ERDAT) - Select Option. By default, the program should run for the current Month ie between the starting and ending date of the current month when the program is run. Today the date is 18th using sy-datum we can bring the current date by calling it in the initialization event, but the requirement is it should not give me the current date, it should only give me the month starting date and the end date. Kindly help.

how can I get the correct price and condition for a customer / material / date ?
I know this is possible using the BAPI_SALESORDER_SIMULATE, but this bapi is using to much ressources on the system.
I'm trying to get the correct price and condition WITHOUT using that BAPI.
Does anyone know how it is possible ? As said before : I have the customer, material and a date.

You need it because it's possible to have a complex pricing procedure, and you can't do it with a simple select on a table. Think that you can have pricing requirements, formulas (ie: VOFM) and so on in your pricing procedure (tcode V/08).

I'm not 100% clear on what the requirement is from the description, however it does sound like you are making things unnecessarily complicated.
If you want permanent/ID-independent links then use application and page aliases.
so here we used to display the url like this: <tt>{noformat}http://81.131.254.171:8080/apex/f?p=122{noformat}</tt>

First of this not hte mysql or database forum so don;t repeate again.
to get diff between two date in mysql use date_format() to convert them to date if they r not date type
then use - (minus)to get diff.

will give you the current node element by its name"Deal" or you could use
wdContext.nodeDeal().getCurrentElement()
or you could use
wdContext.nodeDeal().getElementAt(wdContext.nodeDeal().getLeadSelection())

                  2)End Date
and one Absence type input field is there. The user wants to set the start Date ,End date and absence type.
How to get the user set values in my project.i.e how to get the user inputs and the started date must be current date of the system and end date must be after the 3 months.

Why customer exit variable to grab the current month value doesn't work?

In CMOD, input the following code to grab the current month value from the system date:
Grab the month value with System Date
WHEN 'CURMONTH'.
    CLEAR l_s_range.
    l_s_range-low = SY-DATUM+4(2).
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
In Query Designer, create a formula variable CURMONTH processed by customer exit and the dimension under the Currency/Unit tab is "Number". Put the formular variable in the column as a KF. When running the query, the column with the formular variable shows values of "2,0000000" other than just "2" I want for the current month. If the dimension under the Currency/Unit tab is "date", the column with the formular variable shows values of "00/00/0000". Any idea? How to grab the correct current month value which is 2 from the system date.

Oh ok , try the below options, As such I dont see any errors in our code .
Not sure if you have ABAPER's in your team, just check with them once on the FM we are trying to see .
Next , do you hvae 0CALDAY available in your report ? If so try to restrict that field with variable "0DAT" and write the same code you have written for your formula variable , but instead change the variable name to "0DAT" and try if this gets the month . let me know if I'm not clear .
