How to get the old value of any property in DRM script or formula

Hi,
Can we somehow capture the old property value in DRM formula or Script.
Let's say, I have property ABC with possible values as 'Yes' and 'No'.
Now once this property value is changed to Yes, a restriction has to be placed so that no-one can change the property value to No.
Can this be achieved in DRM?

- No, not possible with Formula, to some extent you can load a script from Transaction History, that will just give you the latest values for the node Properties.
- If you just wish to report out the Node property current and previous values, you can perform Audit or Execute a Transaction log Export.

- Please create a validation to check if the Property value is 'Yes', if so,please throw an exception so that no one can perform further updates.

I'm using the JSF component selectManyListbox. I have assigned a value change listener to it. When I try get the old value using getOldValue() of the ValueChangeEvent Im always getting a null value. The only value Im getting is from the method getNewValue(), which is the last item I clicked in the selectManyListbox items before submitting the whole form. How to get the old selection in ListSelectionListener valueChanged() method

Hi,
Is anyone know how to get the old selection index/value in the ListSelectionListener valueChanged() method? The list.selectedValue() always return the same value which is the new selection. The ListSelectionEvent.getFirstIndex() and getLastIndex are always firstIndex <= lastIndex so that you cant' tell which one is the old selection.
Please help and thanks!

Just test the two indexes (first and last): if the corresponding row is selected, then the other is unselected. That gives you the old (unselected) and new (selected) item.
Of course, I have supposed that you were using a SINGLE_SELECTION model...

System.out.println("the payload value is " + task_test.getPayloadAsElement().getElementsByTagName("User_ID").item(0).getFirstChild().getNodeValue());
So add the getFirstChild() call in between.
If this works, maybe consider using JAXB to marshall the payload details to POJO's. This will make reading the payload details much easier.

How to get the keyfigure values

hi all,
I have loaded the sales ,billing and delivery data to sales overview cobe(0sd_c03).
The keyfigures in all the update rules are inactive.I changed the update rule type to addition from no update and when i try to assign source fields to those key figures,in the f4 help of the source fields i am not getting the field.
so by this i am not getting the keyfigure values in the cube .only the characteristic values are displayed.
How to get the keyfigure values in the cube.
will there be any settings in the SPRO in R/3.
Plz give solution for this .

If your UR is inactive, how you can load data?
The KFs you are trying to add, are newly added KFs in cube or the existing KFs?
Do this:
Activate your cube, TR again.
Delete your UR and re-create it.
Delete all the bad requests from cube.
Now try to do the load.
OR
If you did customization your cube, make sure you did activated your cube, did the changes in your DS, replicated datasource in BW, added the new fields in TR and activated, and Deleted your UR and re-created it.
Now try.

Hi,
What kind of web page do you have? Do you have possibility to for example make RFCs? Then you could trigger events (with parameters that could "return" the values) and the workflow could react to those events. For example your task can have terminating events.

Hi Lingo,
There r two ways of getting the values into the list. First one is hardcoding the values and the second one is use the list and get the values into the list by firing a query in the database.
Inorder to display the values in the second menu based on the first onces selection we need to add an attribute to the first selectonemenu known as valueChangeListener and we need to sumit the page.

I assume you are talking about JDeveloper 10.1.3 in where there is no JavaScript API ADF Faces.Here you will have to use document.getElementById() to access the radio button component (which is a list component). You can look at the generated HTML for how the component and its ID look like.
However, what is the usecase that you cannot handle in native JSF ?

JTable problem : how to get the last value entered by user + event lost

Hi all,
I have 2 problems with Jtable class.
1 => To get the last value entered by user in a cell,
it seems that we must change the selected cell.
That is to say we can only have the previous cell's value.
Is there a simple way to get the current value of any cell ?
2 => To resolve the problem i store the values of each cell in a vector and i intercept keyboard event (!)
BUT, when i do a double click with the mouse on the Jtable, i loose keyboard events. Then, i can't intercept them.
Is it a bug of swing or am i following a wrong way ?

You have to fire the "TableCellUpdatedEvent"
and override the getCellEditorValue in TableCellEditor to return the current value
