How to get update FCE 4.0.1 (I have 4.0) even "Software update" said OK
Why I can't update my FCE to 4.0.1. I bought version 4.0. I have a lot of trouble to "Read an transfert" AVCHD files from Canon HFS 100. "No data" message. And the file is readable on the control window...
Somebody have a solution... ?

Every time I manually ask computer to go see if there is any new update after several seconds it will come back and say that I'm up to date. I am skeptical that I am up to date. Your purchases are tied to your Apple ID. If you bought all of the books with the old ID then AFAIK you will have to continue to use that ID in order to continue to sync those books to the iPad.
You have to update the app with the old ID so I don't see how you could keep the books with the new ID. Maybe I am wrong about this, but someone else will chime in I'm sure and correct me if I am wrong. -

Hopefully it isn't too late for this but: before performing an update it is really best if you close all apps (double click the home button, click and hold on one of the apps that appears at the bottom of the phone until the red minus sign appears and then tap the minus sign until all apps are closed) and then turn the phone off by holding the standby button until the slider saying "slide to power off" appears and slide it to turn the phone off. Then turn the phone back on and hook it up to your computer to sync and perform the upgrade. This also helps if you do this before performing syncs too. I had problems with an iPod previously where it would fail to backup before sync most times, but have never had a problem with updates or syncs since I started performing this procedure. Unfortunately, your pre-update backup may have failed and the data in your apps might be gone, but you could try to restore your phone. If I remember correctly how to do this, you connect it to your computer and check for updates. It should say you're up to date, but have an option to restore the phone. If it does, I'd try that. It may also have a "restore from backup" option you could try.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You installed the "Genieo" malware. The product is a fraud, and the developer knowingly distributes an uninstaller that doesn't work. I suggest the procedure below to disable Genieo. This procedure may leave a few small files behind, but it will permanently deactivate the malware (as long as you never reinstall it.)
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Step 1
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Frameworks/GenieoExtra.framework
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.
If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder should open with an item named "GenieoExtra.framework" selected. Move that item to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your administrator password.
Move each of these items to the Trash in the same way:

If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those listed above, move them as well. Some of these items will be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
Step 2
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including ones called "Genieo" or "Omnibar," and any that have the word "Spigot" or "InstallMac" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Your web browser(s) should now be working, and you should be able to reset the home page and search engine. If not, stop here and post your results.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install this trojan. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad has a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If youever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that this Internet criminal has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
Finally, be forewarned that when Genieo is mentioned on this site, the attacker sometimes shows up under the name "Genieo support." He will tell you to run a fake "uninstaller." As he intends, the uninstaller does not completely remove the malware, and is in fact malware itself. -
how can I installed my hp printer when I get a message that it is not currently available from the software update server?
The drivers are there. I see this quite often. What's happened is the supported devices list on the Mac is a little out of date. All you should have to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Updates, restart the Mac, connect the printer back to the Mac, and add the printer's queue to the Mac. It sounds like you destroyed your boot partition and the recovery partition. Depending on it's age, your MacBook Air might be able to do a net boot. Plug and ethernet connection into it and attempt to boot. If it has the right firmware, it will find a net boot configuration on the net and boot that. Then it will give you a Recovery Partition like display and allow you to reinstall the OS X version that came with it.... assuming that it was Lion or ML. If your computer came with Snow Leopard, then even the net boot won't work.
At that point you need a bootable USB Key, or an external DVD drive AND a Snow Leopard installation DVD.
An Apple Store, if there is one nearby, MAY be able to get you going again. However, whatever is on the SSD now will be toast too. -

That is only present if you have already updated to iOS 5 or later. If you're on iOS 4 you can only update while connected to your computer's iTunes.

Next you may create condition showing only zero keyfigure values , ie. master data without any transaction.

Were you definitely connected to the internet at the time? If you don't have iOS 5 on your iPhone then the only way to update it would be via iTunes, once updated to the latest version of iOS you'll be able to update your iPhone without connecting to iTunes "over-the-air".
Before updating however it goes without saying to Backup your iPhone, this should happen by default upon connecting your iPhone to iTunes.
