How to get videos to play.

I get my videos onto the itunes library and try to put them onto my ipod but it will only play as music not as a video. How do i get videos to play?

Go to Videos.Video Settings...Make Sure "TV Out" is set to "OFF" on the IPOD:

Quick question - how do I get just small music clip videos to play on my IPOD? I'm not even sure why I am asking this question since I have exported in "QT" to .mp4 but they are still not uploading.
I downloaded "VisualHub" and the demo version is only 2minutes of video but I really don't have any more money to purchase any other stuff to get these videos to play so what do u suggest?

If you are testing on public wifi, that hardly helps. Public wifi is always over taxed with users and slow.

Getting videos to play on my iPad

Does anyone know how to get videos to play on the iPad? On my iPhone I was able to convert videos files to mp4 and then they would show up in my library. I can not get my iPad to do this. Anyone know how???

The process is the same but the constraints are slightly different - there are plenty of threads on the subject and as long as the video complies with the specification below, it will transfer. If it isn't transferring then there is something out of spec for that particular video.

I still don't understand how to get video on my iPhone-HELP!

I have an iPhone and a iPod Classic and I just can't figure out how to get video on my either device, nothing I do works. I'm not talking about buying movies, etc from iTunes, I'm referring to videos I already have on my computer, converting them to the appropriate file extension (which I still have no idea what that is) and then where do I put these videos on my computer in order for iTunes to recognize them and pull them in?
I wish these devices were simplier to work with, where they acted as hard drives and you could just drag and drop what you wanted where and play them. But of course it has to be more complicated then this because Apple wants to control the users experience (sound familiar?)...I'm an advanced computer user and I have to admit that I'm embarrassed by the fact that I can't figure this out.
If anyone can give me SIMPLE instructions and a program to use to do video converstions I would appreciate it.

Im not going to be a great help as im on OS X, bit Ill have a go:
For a number of reasons, iTunes and the iPod/iPhone only support a handful of types of video file. Mainly a file type called .mp4 which is normally h.264 with embeded metadata. This isnt a special Apple video file, and as long as it doesnt have DRM, can be played on many modern devices such as the Xbox360, PSP, PS3 etc.
The only limiting thing you have to watch out for is the resolution of the video as some devices will not be able to play the higher resolution content such as a 1080p HDTV stream on an iPhone, it just wont play!
So what you need to do, if you have videos in many different file types such as realplayer, wmv, and avi etc, you need top convert them to mp4, and then optionally add cover art and tag the file with show name etc.
None of this is built in, partly because Apple wants you to buy content rather than get it elsewhere, and partly as itts a little more complicated than making an mp3 at the moment.
On my Mac I use a program called Handbrake (free) that can rip from DVD to an iphone version, and a program called VisualHub that can convert just about any video type to iphone format. After encoding the video, i use a program called MetaX to correctly tag the video fiels so that they are easy to find in iTunes and so that I can make smart playlists etc. Do this and the files in iTunes act just like if you had purchased them from the store.
Now, I dont know whats good for Windows, but I did a google search and found this which is free and for Windows:

Getting video to play on my site

I am trying to get video to play on my site in a way that
will not require the user to download flash payers or shockwave
players or anything like that. So far all I am doing is dragging
and dropping an .mpg file into a cell and letting it play on the
site in windows media format. This is all fine but I would also
like to have buttons to the right of the video that when clicked
will change the video to another clip. How can I get button to
change the video and is the method I am using a good one or is
there a better (nicer looking, more user friendly) way of achieving
this effect?

I told the representative on the phone this and she told me someone online could tell me how to get videos off of my ipod and back on to my computer.

To share either select the link (paperclip) icon on the right of the file or folder list.
Cut and paste the link into an email you send your friends. Do not use the "share this" option in Dropbox as it forces them to join.
You can test it after deleting your browser cache and cookies - you will no longer be signed in to Dropbox but the link should work fine.

This is usually the result of trying to convert a "muxed" (MPEG1, MPEG2, VOB, some AVI, AVI MJPEG, etc.) source file. QT Pro, QT-like applications, and those that depend on QT tools all suffer this problem. Use an MPEG based third party application to perform your conversions. You're not doing what I told you to do in the last topic regarding this subject. I said to use a server side script to determine if iPhone then h.264 else .flv video. Also I told you that iPhone will not display the QTVR tours. Anyway, regarding your current setup: you already know why the 360 tour doesn't display on the iPhone. I haven't looked much at the code other than checking the referenced files since it wasn't my previous recommendation. Perhaps if you fixed the referenced file it may work. Worth a try.
Also... you have bad code on your site (for lack of a better term). Mixed cases in tags, etc. Check your HTML at http://validator.w3.org and fix any validation errors that you may have and I recommend maintaining lowercase in your html. For example: instead of <a hREF=" use <a href="
