How to get Viewer to open report?

I am new to Crystal Reports and BI software. While I can open a Crystal report in the server version of the software, the Viewer, used to access reports from other PCs, does not open the report because it finds errors in the formulas. We've checked the formulas and they appear to be correct. Any ideas?

Need more info. What version of Cr are you using?
Likely a database driver issue, if they are not using the same version of the DB client and when designed it could cause problems.

The pdf is loading as html code. If you save it, it will download as :

Change the extension to .pdf

How to Use views of one report to other reports

I have so many reports with same views like static text, header & footer .
My question is: I have created these views on some reports which are same to all reports as i said. Now i want to use these views from the existed reports without creating once again which takes long time to ensure that size and color everything should be same for all reports for those views.
Can any body give an idea how to make use the views of one report to other reports...?

I have achieved using Headers & Footers in another report through import formatting from another analysis option presents in compound layout view.
But i unable to get the remaining views like static, Legend....etc. into another reports....

How to show view tab Main Report and all of Sub Report in one action through Visual FoxPro

How to show all view tab (Main Report and all of Sub Report) in one action.
I already know how to show Main Report with this code sample:

Your right, there is only one tab to view the report.
To open the subreports you will need to click on them in the main report. I don't know of a way to open them programmatically like you are doing here

I have two reports overview&Detail reports.When i execute overview report i am getting the data.in the same report i am integrated the detail report.when i am trying to open detail report in overview report i am not getting the data it shown the error No Data Available. But data is there in Detail report when i execute individually.

I have an overview report and a detailed Report Both of them are working fine individually. But when i link them using RSBBS the detailed report is not giving any data. it gives "no Data available". There is no assignment details maintained. it is having the default value. (generic and *)
please let me know what might i be missing

You probably want to look at function module DYNP_VALUES_READ to allow you to read the values of the other screen fields during the F4 event... below is a simple demo of this - when you press F4 the value from the p_field is read and returned in the p_desc field.

I have tried everything that has been suggested and even deleted and downloaded Firefox again and it will not open. Any ideas on how to get it to open?

I have been trying to get Firefox to open up and everytime I double click on the icon nothing happens. I have gone to the task manager and deleted it from the process list and tried again and still will not open. the alv output will display the sum at the last row.
for this functionality u have do this logic.
data: lw_fcat type slis_fieldcat_alv.
data: lt_fcat type slis_t_fieldcat_alv/
wa_fcat-fieldname = 'AMT1'.
wa_fcat-tabname = 'ITAB'.
wa_fcat-do_sum = 'X'.
append wa_fcat to lt_fcat.
and then pass it to reuse_alv_grid_display function,

Hi,
This is server side code , you should write in your C# code behind method for Click event of Link Button .
- Use 1st part code in your button event handler method. (Replace <username> with current user name), best way is to find the crome.exe location at your dev machine , and paste the path here -
process.StartInfo.FileName = @""; , default location is in user's appdata folder. Test the code.
- If the above code works , and if your crome.exe is in user's appdata folder , then you will need to find dynamic location of AppData folder for every user. That means the path should not be hard coded. The 2nd part of the code is an hint for how you can
find the appdata path in C#. Something like this

How does one view all scheduled reports?

I am scheduling 12 reports to run monthly. I don't find any view in which to see all of my scheduled reports, in order to verify success (or failure) of last instance run, to delete or modify a report's schedule, etc.
I also see no such "I am scheduled" indication or view on individual reports.

To add to John's response, you would be able to get the list of all schedules, through the
1. Instance manager. Log on to CMC and go to instance manager to see all your report schedules.
2. You can always navigate to a reports history to view its instances.
3. Run the below query in the Query Builder (AdminTools) application to get the list of schedules
SELECT SI_ID,SI_NAME,SI_PARENTID FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_INSTANCE=1
The above query would bring you 1000 results of all the report instances in the CMS database, irrespective of the kind of the report.
You can fine tune your query as per your requirement if you need to get the instances of particular report. Below is the query to get instances for a particular report
SELECT SI_ID,SI_NAME FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_PARENTID=<ReportId for which you need to get the instances> AND SI_INSTANCE=1
4. By using BusinessObjects SDKs. For working with BO SDKs, you would need to be familiar with the 3rd option above as through the code you would be executing similar queries to CMS database to get the results in your application.
Regarding your query 'We want to have the ability to let any users go to one page/or click a link in webi and the page would show all of that user's scheduled reports in one single list where they can view and edit the report's schedule.. I wonder if that is possible to achieve'
This is surely possible using the BusinessObjects sdks. For more queries regarding it, you would probably have to post your questions in the java sdks space. Below is the link for the same.

How to get mail to open to newest message in mailbox

Whenever I open Mail, it defaults to showing messages from March of this year instead of the newest message. So I have to spend time scrolling down to the newest message.
Is there a way to get it to open mail to the newest messages by default?
