I am an MBA Finance, with 6 years of experience. Want to do SAP FICO Certification. How can I start?
I am working on SAP for past 2 years and my current company is a customer to SAP.

Hi,
Mostly the Project system module has a good link when they want to assign the cost incurred in the network - say at WBS level to a cost center or a particualar GL account.
It is not that much mandatory to learn PS before becoming FICO, but on-the job knowledge would suffice.

How to prepare for SAP FICO Certification Exam.

Dear All,
Can any body would like to tell me on the above cited subject. I have some related querries as below:
1. Does the certification exam question refer the current SAP FICO Version?
2. How to prepare for the exam as I do not want to attend the classes but to appear for exam directly.
3. Is there the model question and answer paper available on sap site or internet.
4. How to get the relevent SAP FICO books. Is the same available on internet?

a. Certifications are usually available for latest versions. contact sap education @sap.com for the same.
b. Am not sure if you could take the exam directly. you need attend academy @ siemens/genovate or work on a sap projects and let your company sponsor you.

How can i add FICO module to the SAP Netweaver ABAP 7.02 trial version

Dear Brothers
I am a new learner of SAP and interested in learning FICO. As part of that I installed SAP Netweaver ABAP trial version and after the installation I had problem in Logging in but it was solved lately. Now I face an other challenge which I may share with u guys. After logging in I wanna start with a new company code creation for FICO but I cant find the Enterprise Structure for in SAP Reference IMG. Only I see the following structure
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
     Activate Business functions
     SAP Net weaver
     Cross-Application Components
     Financial Supply Chain Management
     Integration with Other my Sap.com components
I expanded the tree structure but could not find the Enterprise Structure> Definition> Financial Accounting--> Define Company
So is this because of missing FICO module if so how can I install that module for I can learn myself @ home. Kindly help me to fix this prob and hope to hear from the SAP experts around the world.

Role with SPRO for FICO

Hello SAP EXperts,
Can anyone tell me how to create a role with SPRO authorization for FICO transactions and roles only. I need to assign a role with which a FICO consultant can do all the customizing related tasks in the development server. Please give some solution.

Hi there,
The easiest way to get all of the t-codes, is for a customising project to be created in the IMG with all of the relevant IMG activities assigned to it. (Your FI CO consultant can assist here.)
Once that has been done, you can go and create a role in PFCG. Select the menu tab, then select Utilities - Customizing Auth. and it will then ask you to select a customising project.
Once you've done that, all IMG activities and transactions for that customising project will automatically be entered into the menu.
You then need to go and maintain and generate the authorisations.
That's my suggestion.

Each Project will be unique. Definitely working in a live Project environment gets a lot of insights into a specific module, but each project will have different challanges. The different stages in a Project environment are:
- Project kick off
- Blue Print Preparation (as is and to be)
- realization phase (configuration and testing)
- Testing / cut over (User acceptance testing)
- Go live and post implementation support.
There are several links / threadsd in SDN, where in you can read the documents on FICO configuration.

*1) How we can integrate the client app and OSB service?*
Using event, like you can have a button in your client app, whenever you want to post the payload.
Click on the button and post the payload your OSB proxy will receive it and pass on to BPEL process.
*2) How to integrate the OSB service and BPEL process?*
          You use direct binding or use http soap call to access BPEL from OSB.
*3) Whether the BPEL process needs to be a Webservice with WSDL exposed to OSB proxy service?*
          Yes, it will be soap over http.
*4) BPEL how will it validate the employee details and store it in Oracle DB, how it will connect to the Oracle DB?*
Whether this is done through XQuery, XSTL? or plain java code with JDBC connection?
          As said before you can keep it with DBAdapter.
I have few questions for you.
*1. What is the significance of using OSB and BPEL in your architecture?*
     If you want to have better performanc, you can just use OSB without using BPEL.
     OSB with DB adapter will do the job for you.
*2.      Are you going to use just insert statement with your Database ?*
          If yes, just go for DB adapter, or if you have to run logic, you can keep those logic inside a procedure and expose as procedure to bpel.
          So that performance will be more.

Dear Milind,
There is account payable and account receivable and asset account in Balance sheet report, and Normally there are a lot of vendor and customer and asset existed in one Company code, then SAP consider how to make the balance of account payable and account receivable and asset account existed in general ledger account and reflected in B/S report, then reconciliation account is used.
The reconciliation account are general ledger account assigned to business partner master records( vendor/customer/asset) to record all transacdtiuons in the subledger.
All postings to te subledger accounts are auto. posted to the assigned reconciliation accounts, the general ledger is therefore always up to date.

I am trying to see if i can get a step by step extraction process for FICO extraction cos am abt to start a project to extract and load GL,Asset and Controlling data into a BW system.I am thinking I shd be able to get a lot of the reports needed by installing the 0FI_GL_4.

coming to steps in extraction:
install DS
replicate DS
create transformation between the DS and DSO
the same applies to DSO and cube.
But most of the times, no delivered DS supplements the clients finacial requirement, so if thats the case you would need to enhance the DS with the additional fields that would be needed in the reporting stand point

Sometimes we need to download the table for the desired information if the same is not available from a particular report. How to look for the table name? Is there a report or a particular feild, where we can find the name of the particular table?

Hi Friend,
If you want to see the structures then go to SE11. Sometimes it happens that you cannot find the table names but only fields. In such case, if you want to find the Table names which is not available, then go to SE90.
Abap Dictionary > Fields > Table Fields.
Now Enter the Field name in Right Hand Side of the screen then Execute. You will see the all tables by which that Fields are used.

You can see the FI Doc. thru' given instruction
Go to T-code CJI3 then fillup the WBS no. in which you want to see the Settlement document.
Execute then filter up document type AA double click on this & click on FI document.

just simple in GTS in transaction BP find by "3 External number" (which is yours R/3 number).
Or in se16 table /SAPSLL/PNTBP type in field BPVSY you external number from R/3 system.
