How to go from Developer to Trial Edition

I installed a Developer Edition on a server and now want to
test a site without IP restrictions to see if hosting the site is a
viable solution or else going the shared webhost route. When we try
to install the Trial Edition , the Developer Edition is installed.
I tried uninstalling the Developer Edition and installing the
Trial, but the Developer Edition is always the one installed. Seem
like the installation leaves a trace behind and remembers the
server and prevents the installation of the Trial on the same
server.
Any suggestion on how to get the Trial Edition installed on
the same server a Developer Edition was once installed? I tried
removing all references from the registry and still didn't
work.

The Trial Version is the Developer Version, after the trial
period expires, so if you had already installed the
Trial/Development version on this server, and and your time has
expired, I suppose that you could attempt time travel....

How to go from Developer Preview to Official Lion OS X Release?

Hello,
Since its release, i've been playing with several Developer Previews of OS X Lion on my Macbook Pro. Then, Lion got out, in its official release. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to upgrade to it right at that time. I had a lot of work to do, and I've been using all this time a DP version. Now that I have some spare time, I want to upgrade to 10.7.2, and actually buy the Lion OS X from AppStore.
But surprisingly enough, AppStore says I allready have Lion on my Mac. Even when I open AppStore and holding down the Option key, I see the price of Lion, I clik on it, but it says a newer version seems to allready be present on my Mac. Wich is false, cause I sopped updating somewhere around 10.7.0, on a DP version.
Even if I modify the "SystemVersion.plist" file, I still can't buy the official Lion.
And as you might know, iCloud comes only with the 10.7.2 version of Lion. And I would realy like to take advantage of it as I've always been a MobileMe customer.
Does anyone have an idea of how to get that update and how to pay for Lion?

In addition to the other suggestions, you cannot download any version of Lion as long as you have any version installed (the background store agent scans not only your internal, but any externals that are attached and will not allow a download if it finds any trace of Lion). Since you chose not to heed the notices to update your versions for that many months (if you were/are on an actual pre-release version from Apple), there is only one solution: you must wipe your hard drive, reinstall Snow Leopard, and then go back to MAS and purchase Lion legally. And, to reiterate, you should not be asking these questions here.

I have both Photoshop Album Starter Edition and Photoshop Elements on my computer. I didn't even know I had the PSA SE--I just assumed it was part of Photoshop Elements when it automatically opened after I stuck my photo disk in. So I started playing around with it and cataloged my new photos. Then I started Photoshop Elements, and none of the cataloging or tags that I had just entered in PSA SE were there. Is there any way to transfer the information from PSA SE to Photoshop Elements without having to retype everything?

You need to locate the PSA SE catalog file. It is called My Catalog.PSA and is Docs&Settings somewhere [in a hidden folder]. Once you have located it, in PSE organizer do File/Catalog/Open and navigate to the file you just located. It will be converted and everything should work OK.

How to Go from a free trial to a permanent one using the disc?

For someone who has done this successfully....
i installed this program as a free trial. Now I want to purchase it. (From an in the box DVD - i dont want to buy online from adobe). Will I have problems doing this? Shall i uninstall the free trial first? Or is it better to install right on top of the trial version?
I only ask, because the program crashes constantly as it is, and I dont want to make it worse with potential registry conflicts and stuff!

(BTW, this is a great program as functionality goes, but crashing is becoming a laughable fact regarding Adobe products in general. Just read the amazon reviews! (Using premier for more than 20 minutes eqauls a garanteed crash) So Adobe, if your reading this....well....just another frustrated user here. But here is my $100 anyway. *cringe*)

If you're talking about PSE 8, you can just enter the serial number into the trial (this doesn't work for previous versions).
For the crashing, first thing is to disable the autoanalyzer in the organizer.

How to go from PS CS5 trial to full CS5 Design Premium?

I'm about to install the trial version to check out PS CS5's new features. When I'm ready to purchase, I will buy the Design Premium package, not the individual PS program. What will be the correct procedure then? Uninstall (or delete) the PS trial program before installing Design Premium? Or is there a way to transition from the trial software to the full Design Premium package?

You dont have to Uninstall or delete Photoshop CS5 , just Install Design premium normally as you would do . It will notice that trial of Photoshop is available and would license it with Design premium serial number on 2nd launch.

How to migrate from development server to prodution server

Hi,
I’m working in obiee 11.1.1.5.I have a development server in which I developed all the dashboards and I have a production server.Now I have to move everything to production server.Production server is pointing to a different database schema with a different port number.
Method followed:
1)Took a copy of catalog and rpd from the development server
2)Copied the catalog to production server
3)Deployed rpd in the production server enterprise manager
Now the problem is Im getting the following error when I tried to open the dashboard

did you changed the connection pool entries according to your Production Environment Database details,please check this first.

There is not much to do if you're using file transport
IR you just export (from the menu) and import the same way in the target IR
ID you just have to specify transport targets
(so names of your business systems will change)

Are you setting the sharpening at 100% zoom (1:1)? Only when zoomed in is the sharpening applied to the Develop display. Also, LR may not be redrawing the Library preview image file. To force the creation of a new preview, select loupe view (E) and zoom to 1:1 and then out to fit.

There are help pages that discuss creation of transports.
In simple terms, you: create a transport package
add objects to the package export the package, plus optionally any related objects to a predefined folder/directory on the portal server into a file with an extension of .EPA copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your QA system and import it test the contents on the QA system copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your production system and import it Create a transport package file
Here is the step by step procedure to create a transport package:
For Export
1. Go to system administration, and click on transport?export.
2. In the middle pane, select the folder you want to export and right click on the Transport Package. 3. Fill in the General Properties i.e the name of the package, id and description. 4. And say finish and open the object for editing.
5. When the object has been opened then right click on the object you want to transport, and say "Add object to the Transport Package".
6. Check the checkbox of the item u have added and see the properties if it has been added properly. 7. Now click on the save button.
8. After the object is saved, click on the export button. 9. U will have an option to select where to store the .epa file which will be generated. U can overwrite an existing one by selecting the browse button, or store it with the generated name in the location it automatically generates. 10. Now Click on the Start Export button.
11. once the export is completed, it shows a report on how much time is taken to generate the .epa file. 12. Here there is an option for downloading the .epa file. Click on the link and download the file. This file is ready to be uploaded into any other EP Server.
For Import:
Pre-requisites: You have to copy the .epa file created while export into the local drive. Optionally, you have to manually copy the .epa file generated in the export function into the Import directory of the server ie. chooseFollow the steps below for importing a certain file. 1. Go to System Administration in the portal, and click on Transport?Import. 2. For the source of the package, Click on the radio button Server for the .epa file you have copied lately. Else, click on the radio button on client if you are operating in the client and select the .epa file you have stored on the local drive. 3. Now select the file from the browse option and click on Upload.
4. Now click on the import button. 5. Once the import process is finished, the report is shown. In the whole process, the par files are not included in the .epa files. For the par files to be included into the .epa files then we have to change the pcdStartup.properties file in the server. The property to be changed is Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeObjectTypesAfterRuleProcessing: Keep this property's value as empty for enabling the par files to be uploaded into the .epa. You can check for this property in the portal in the following -System Administration-Support-Portal Content Directory-PCD Configuration.

I have been using Photoshop Album Starter trial Edition 3.2 for a few years, then recently I have been getting an Adobe registering form pop up which i completed so I could unlock and access my photos. An email was sent only to say that the version Photoshop Starter 3.2 was no long in use and that I should try the Photoshop Family edition.
My problem now is how do I check and then copy/transfer all my pictures from one version to another.
Can someone enlighten me as we are trying to retrieve the photos of our 1st children 1st year.

(If we were all very smart we would not need such forum! But I understand some of us can be rather frustrating to others!) I hope it won't be too big a sin to ask here (the lounge) why my time line exported as a media that ends up an Avi file will not play the video part on MS Windows Player but is ok when re imported in PP(cs4). I do not see a way to separate audio channels to edit them separately in Premiere Elements (any version).
Premiere Elements does have audio effects including Balance, Fill Right/Fill Left, and Swap channels, but that is not what you are seeking.
I would refer you to an audio editor such as the free Audacity for what you want to do.

You can test your TREX server by executing the following step:
Log on to your TREX server and open up the TREX console which you can find in the TREX program folder. Normally you are now inside the python_support folder.
Execute the following script by typing: "python runInstallationText.py" and hit Enter.
The script carries out the following tests:
● Deleting any test indexes that were generated for a previous script run
● Creating a test index
● Indexing documents
● Testing search functions
● Exact, error-tolerant (fuzzy), and linguistic searches
● Search using Boolean operators such as AND and OR
The results are displayed at the end of the script run. You see the tested calls and their statuses (OK or Failed).
When you run the script for the first time, the call Delete Index has the status Failed. This is because there was no existing text index to be deleted. If this is the only cell with the status Failed, the test was successful.
Below you will see the final output generated by the test script. As stated near the bottom of this screenshot our TREX is running very well or not if there is a problem.
