Is this possible. Say I have valuable infromation in my swf
file compiled from FB3. Can people see the code? If don't let
someone see my login screen in my flex program, can they still
access the important functionality in that program somehow?

A swf should never contain any information that needs to be
hidden. You can obfuscate info (there are obfuscators for
Actionscript) but you will only slow down a good hacker. In some
cases obfuscators are sufficient, but that's for you to
decide.

I don't have any issues with playing MP4. You must understand that mp4 should meet MP4 format requirements. If your video can't be played - this may be caused by issues with that mp4 video file but not Adobe Air.
For example this AS3 code succesfully play mp4 video that meet mp4 requirements by format (not Adobe whimsy). Also you may note that StageVideo available on Direct render mode. Auto or CPU will not support native mp4 playing.

In this sample app I use Adobr Air 4.0.0.1390 from latest official release. You can chat to my skype therabbitwindfall and I will support you with my mp4 and Win7 project.

Im a solid dev, and not an expert but I can contribute in things such as testing and low level optimization; But, the Adobe open source site is a galactic disaster and discourages me from getting invloved. I just spent 5 minutes or so twirling through all these SVN directories and Adobes website and I am clueless. I feel like the project is unessarily complex and disorganized - even if it isnt. This just convinced me to delete my Flex sdk bookmark on my SVN client.
Adobe just lost one potential contributor to Flex SDK.
We have another idea that were bouncing around that I hope to share in a week or two but wont get into now.

Wow, thanks for your response. This is great. I now understand that I had a combination of prejudice and ignorance when regarding Adobe Open Source. Perhaps my ignorance on these particulars is something that other devs encounter ( that whole perception thing ). I have chatted with people who consider the Flex SDK and Flex Builder... not the same... but fused together so much that it'd be just crazy to try and use one with out the other When I mention using Flex without Flex Builder.... people get that glazed over look in their eyes....( FYI I'm a FDT man, but am keeping a close eye on the new Flex Builder ) I'll use Zend as an example ( it's the best that I can come up with ) but I feel like there is a difference between the open source framework and Zend Studio ( commercial software ). here my answers to your questions:
1) You don't need to install flex under EP, you need only adobe flash player 9 on EP
2) If you want to develop a SAP Ep cont using Flex, you need adobe flex builder 2 or 3 (ide based).
3)You can store under any EP folder (es. KM) the .swf object and html page of FLEX application, create an iView and call the url link
or load the .swf as mime object in BSP on backend syst, include in a bsp page and create iView for bsp..

How to automate flex application

I have a Flex Application that needs to be automated using tools like HP's QuickTest Pro (QTP) or something. However, QTP requires that you write some custom code if you wish to automate some home-made components... Unfortunately, we have some 3rd-party components which we do not have the source code so we can't really the custom code without having the 3rd-party component's source code and we cannot add some additional SWC files or some other files into the application to automate it. the application is already compiled and we have only the executable file.
how to automate flex application in above case. it is not possible to add any sort of code to application so can we add some sort of plugin to existing testing tool to automate flex. is there any plug-in available for that and for which tool?

What do you want to automate? Essbase has several different ways of automating functionality including Esscmd, Maxl and several different flavors of APIs (C / VB / Java). The tool you would choose to automate with depends on what you are trying to do.
If you post more specifics, we could direct you to which tool would be most appropriate and can refer you to the proper docs to get started.

To use mx:RemoteObject with CFC you don't even need FDS, you
can use FlexBuilder 2.0 and use it's internal FDS SDK to build,
compile and deploy full apps to be used in conjunction with CF 7.02
(Flex Connectivity)
Secondly, if you do want to install the full FDS 2.0
enterprise software you can find the instructions to do so for J2EE
apps servers here

My Mac got hacked. I was working on a word document when the computer suddenly started typing meaningful sentences on its own that describes how the hacker is skillful. At the that time I was on a password protected wifi and file sharing was off.

This is the first time I get hacked this bad. At the that time I was on a friends wifi network that is password protected (not sure about the encyrption), the Os X Firewall was on. I was using the admin profile, however, file sharing was off. I'm very careful not to install any suspecious 3rd party software.
So far I have verified permissions and fixed some errors there, and changed passwords.
Do I have to erase/format my computer and reinstall the Os? If so is it adequte to use the internet recovery tool or will it use old and possibly infected EFI/Root files?

Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.

After entering a human task and assigning the data how do you then update flex field data whilst the task is still assigned. I'm using the task services to communicate with the task and applying filters based on the flex field data.
I want to update the data when actions take place on the task e.g. suspend, aquire, release.
