How to hack iPod nano with passcode??

So I have this old iPod nano I got in 2007, and I plugged it in for the first time as of 3 or 4 years ago and there is a passcode- idk it. How do I hack it????? PS I still want all, the music on there and/because I don't know the apple ID it uses. HELP!!

I supposed you could try every combination possible. Since there are 4 slots to fill in and a possibility of 10 different numbers in each slot, the # of possibilities is 10x10x10x10 or 10,000. Probably not your cup of tea though.
Some users have had luck by simply connecting their iPod to your their iTunes library and performing a sync operation with iTunes Upon disconnecting it, they discovered it was no longer locked. That would be a worth a shot. If it does, make sure to immediately either change the combination or disable it altogether.
Or connect your iPod to your computer. Enable hidden files and folders on your PC or Mac and browse out to [iPod Drive/Letter] -> iPod_Control -> Device and remove the _unlocked unix executable file. Then properly disconnect your iPod and reset it necessary.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library. Even when manually managing an iPhone, you can only add content from one iTunes library.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Can I sync my ipod nano with my second computer/ netbook while travelling?

Looking for some advice on how to connect my IPod nano with my second computer while travelling. That's what happened: I have my iTunes library on my computer at home and can sync my IPod nano (6 th generation, replaced onyl recently) with that library. While I was travelling and wanted to use my IPod I received an error message asking me to connect the IPod with iTunes in order to recover/restore (sorry, the message apeared in German, so I do not know the exact wording in English) . As I only had my second computer - a small netbook - with me, I downloaded iTunes and connected the iPod - only to receive the message that this Ipod would sync with another computer (sure!) and would I want to sync it with this iTunes library instead now? (Of course not, I did not dare because that library was empty!). So there I was with my computer with iTunes library at home and an iPod stuck in recovery mode and not doing a thing during my vacation. Any suggestions? If I have to take my great big workstation with me to get the iPod running again, I might just as well leave the iPod immobile at home. (;-)

On your home computer connect your Nano, click on the name in iTunes, move right to the Summary tab then tick the box that says Manually Manage Music. You will now have to er, manually drag your music to your iPod, and manually eject it when done, but you will be able to add music from two different computers.

Glad you were able to sort it out - iPod cables and USB ports can sometimes by mysterious in their variability - though in your case the symptoms suggest that a conductor may have failed inside the cable you were using. I've found that, using a selection of cables:
my 2G nano will occasionally be detected as being connected via USB 1.0 (even when connected to 2.0 ports)
my 3G nano syncs fine but steadfastly refuses to charge when connected to any of the USB ports on my main computer, though using the same cable charges happily when connected to a USB AC adapter

How to sync iPod Nano to Outlook on just one machine?

I'm using my iPod Nano with two different computers. Is there a way to get my iPod to sync to my Outlook calendar on one computer without having it sync to the (different) Outlook calendar on the other when I plug in? This means that I lose all of the events from the first computer. Unlike the Mac iCal settings, there aren't options that let me set which calendar(s) to sync.
Any ideas? Do you know if this is something that's going to be fixed in the next iPod firmware or iTunes update?
