How to handle selection process in EHP4 erecruitment

I am new to this forum. Can someone throw some light on the following processess in Erecruitment EHP 4
1. Candidate selection process by recruiter
Need the overall process flow and how to create activity, assign and complete a full process.

The selection process begins by creating a new requisition then creating a job posting and publishing it - this is a standard funcitonality , any checks involved in the selection can be customised using the BADI.
Activity as a std functionality has status - in process, completed , Rejected and to be hired.
When a candidate applies against the open job posting in ESS , you will be able to see the candidate details under the dashborad as a recruiter.
Click the requisition under the dash borad and it will open a new window populating all the candidated applied to that requisition.
Activites can be created with simple task, with a status change or email (Check customizing for more details on it)
Activities can be like-
employee completed first interview
Employee completed medicals. these 2 can be an example of a simple activity
Futher documents required - This can be an example of an email activity ( Letters can be customised attached to this activity)
employee rejected, employee selected - This can be an example of status change activity .
The last of all would be " Data transfer" this is done when you want the employee details to the transferrd for hiring, you can find this in tcode PA48.

Drive Utility Help Viewer "does not know how to handle selected URL"

I have Drive Utility 10.5.6, according to . I'm trying to reformat a FAT32 partition on an external drive to Mac OS X Ext. Journaled in preparation for using SuperDuper to back up my Mac HD boot partition. For a time, which seems to have passed, now that erasing the partition has been done. The Disk Utility Help wouldn't work. Instead of putting up topic information, I got a message saying "Help Viewer does not know how to handle selected URL", followed by an reference to an html file that allegedly existed inside a set of folders inside the app. Where, of course, Finder cannot see. Once the erasing was done, Help seems to have come back. I tried Apple Support, but could only get a reference to OS 9 Appleworks macros not working in OS X. No help at all. Is this a question? I don't know. Help is working now. But for a while it was very annoying. It must be one of those little windows glitches that no one ever bothered to fix.

In order to change a FAT or NTFS formatted drive for use with OS X you will need to do the following:
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
If you have an Intel Mac and can partition the drive using GUID then you can have FAT32 and OS X partitions on the same drive.
As for problems with the Help viewer see:
In most cases doing the following will restore the Help Viewer:
1. Trash the following three files, if extant:
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.help.plist
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpui.plist
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist
2. Trash the /Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui folder.
3. Empty the Trash and Restart.

How to handle selection event in alv component

Hi,
By default when you use the selection mode for the ALV as Multi/Mutli No Lead then this option is enabled.
Try to implement the event ONLEADSELECT and check wether this event is triggered or not.
DATA: lo_value type ref to cl_salv_wd_config_table.
    CALL METHOD lo_value->if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_selection_mode
      EXPORTING
        value = cl_wd_table=>e_selection_mode-multi_no_lead.
Try to implement these event for ALV and put a break-point and test which event is getting triggered.

In production process we add to it our own component. Than we have to pass it to our magazine with the same customer name but higher price.

How to deploy selected process?

First deployment will include all assets. Thats okay.
I need to deploy only selected processes. Any suggestions?

I have read the following statement from the workbench help manual.
After the initial deployment, if you change parts of the application, you do not need to redeploy the entire application. Redeploy only the parts that are changed. When redeploying an updated long-lived process, the currently running process follows the updated steps in the new process if they are not already completed.
I just wanted to get clarified on the highlighted sentence. Are they meaning the deploy or just Check-in of files?

How to handle mould process

Dear Sir/Madam,
My plant bulid own mould and use the mould to produce parts. How do you treat this process to use 1 mould and produce 10,000 mould shot? We need to keep track the actual costing of this bulit mould.
Currently, the mould is issued by cost center (Mvt type: 201) which the actual costing is not captured.
Please advise.

Hi,
I looked at this today and thought I could put my views on this.
I think most of the assets fall under this scenario only. There is a cost related to the possession of the asset. In our case, the mould is an asset which involved a cost for possessing that.
Now the same asset (read building, land, machine,electricity etc) is used for producing the finished goods. In our case also the mould is used for making the finished product. The mould has some depreciation everytime it is used, it has specific period of utility after which it reaches its salvage value, just like any other asset. This is the general understanding.
Now comign to SAP, first the mould is made/procured. This case should be handled by means of either a production order or purchase order. In either of this case, I think the cost of the material is taken care of during the goods receipt. When the mould is received, my view is that it should be received as a raw material, as this will be used during the production process.
Now, for the production of our finished product, if the mould is created as a work centre and PRTs are updated to capture the cost associated with the work centre, the cost of the mould will get allocated to all the items which are produced using this mould.
Though I know very little of SAP-PP, i am a SD consultant.

How to handle Select List that also needs data entry?

I have a few "Data Entry" situations that can I would like to be able to use a "Select List with Submit" but also allow the user to type in a new value. What is a method to handle this from the data entry perspective?
Example:
Database table contains columns:
ClassName
AttributeName
A new AttributeName is going to be added to this table. The AttributeName could either be added into an existing Class or a new Class could be created. If the new Attribute is being added to an existing Class, I would like to select the value from a "Select List" populated from distinct ClassNames from this table (this part works easy with a Select List with Submit). If the Attribute is being created in a New Class, I am not sure the best approach to handle it? I have experimented with the popup LOV and it is not a perfect fit.

I have done a similar implementation in my app. I have a region with a select list with submit, and a button saying "create new data". I have another region on the page with a form, based on my table. If something is selected in the select list, I populate the form using a pl/sql block. If the button "create new" is clicked, i clear the form and allow the user to enter data, and run a conditional insert pl/sql.

How to tackle long processing threads ?

Hi All,
I have a requirement where it will take couple of minutes to complete a process. Well, I made that method to be "synchronized" so that none of the other threads can do anything(since all other activities are dependant on this thread, the others have to wait till this important threads completes it's process).
Now the problem is that other threads goes into problem and all of them are in MW(monitor wait) state and sometime kills/hangs the wls-instance. We are using wls6.1+sp2.
please suggest me with some example for how to tackle these kind of problems.

What is this process doing?this process gets some information from an external DB source. Basically, it does some search on a given field. We can't do anything with this DB resource as we don't have any hold on this, some legacy old crap.
All we need to do is to handle this long runnig process through java. could you please suggest how to handle long processes, intelligently ?

How to handle delta failed process chain steps

Hi All,
I have a query regarding process chains were in processstep has delta load and there is dependency between the predeseccor and successor process steps,then
if the delta load fails due to any one of the following reasons
1) due to remote_icp locked the prtclr Infoobject the process step is executing .
2) due to any psa records errors and so on
Then how to handle delta and see that correct delta records were updated .
Because again for the nextday loads if the previous delta is incorrect it will give pop-up message that it is not possible.
If any suugestions pl guide me.

1)Remove the lock by force from sm12 or wait till the lock is gone.Then see if the delta data has come till the PSA.Mark failed delta load RED and back it out from target.Then read everything in manually from PSA to target.
In process chains u can go the monitor entry for the failed load by..highlight chain..click log icon..give selection..for proper selection..see the failed node..right click..display messages..click on process monitor.
Sometimes even if infopackage is run successful manually,next steps in the chain do not kick off.
Use Siggi's excellent blog on this..(it works really well)

2)Make request RED and back it out from target.
Correct records in the PSA and read everything in manually from PSA to data target.
Then use Siggi's blog.
If data hasnt come to PSA do a delta repeat.
Always check yesterday's chain run about 1-2 hrs before today's chain kicks off.

How to handle multiple records in BPMN process

It's solving a different problem, but the key is that it's using a multi-instance subprocess to iterate over an array of "things" that need to be acted in. In your case it's the set of results from the db query rather than the set of tests in the example. But the principle is the same. You'd take collection of rows from the DB and process them in a multi-instance subprocess. The text that begins with the following would be good place to start:
"Now let’s implement the body of our process. We will use the Subprocess object to handle the traversal of the array of tests. Drag a Subprocess from the component palette on the right into the process and drop it on the line between the Start and End nodes."
In the loop characteristics you'd define whether you want to execute serially or in parallel.

How to handle the One-Time Customer Process (Customizations - Master Datas)

How can we handle the processes of one time customers (for example sales from a store without a warranty process fort he products)? Iu2019m planning of creating a different sales document type and use a single customer number for all of the documents created. On the other hand SAP has a solution for the one-time customers but I donu2019t know its details. Can anybody explain me the standard one-time customer process of SAP (the needed customizations and the master datas to be created)?

the one-time customer is an account group (CPDA) that is used for "walk-in" or "cash" buyers. although this account group can be used for regular sales orders, this is intended to be used with the Cash Sales type of sales documents, where no accounts receivable is created. you also need the one-time customer as a "dummy" and avoid creating many customer masters for buyers who may only do one transaction with your company.
when you use the one-time customer account group in the Cash Sales order, you enter the one-time customer number in the sold-to party field. the system will then prompt you to enter the actual name (and address) of the buyer. you can have the option of generating SD reports with the real names of the customers.
you create the one-time customer the same way you do with the regular Sold-to party. there are some differences, in the sense that this is a "dummy" account. you do XD01 or VD01 to create the account, choosing account group CPDA. you also make entries in the sales areas.
