How to hard reset/delete data?

My BB playbook has some issues, I cant login because I dont know the password and its stuck on final attempt! But cant type anything! So cant go in to menu, settings and restore that way!
I tried the hard reset by holding volume keys and power key but that doesnt work, held em for 15 seconds and even longer sometimes!
I think there is too much data and **bleep** in the PB hence its slow and irresponsive!
How can I restore it to factory settings by means of hardware??! What if I take out the battery?

First I would like you to do a Back Up of your PlayBook using your computer and BlackBerry Desktop Software.
This can be downloaded for free from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
After the Back Up is complete I need you to unplug your PlayBook and then push and hold down the Power Button until the unit Force Powers Off.
Now, while Desktop Software is still open on your computer and the PlayBook Powered Off, Connect the PlayBook to your computer.
You should see and error screen from Desktop Software pop up that has the options to Retry, Update, or Cancel.
QUICKLY choose the Update option.
This will erase all the information off of your PlayBook and Re-Write the Software back onto it. Once it's complete your PlayBook will need to go back through the setup wizard, and you can then perform a restore using Desktop Software to return your information. The only thing that won't come back after the restore are the apps that you downloaded from App World but they can be easily Re-Installed using the My World feature in App World.

I bought this iPad mini for my daughter who is 8. On original set up, it asked for a birth date, so I put hers. It will now not allow me to set up an apple ID saying that she isn't old enough. How do I reset the birth date to mine?

In Settings > iCloud on your iPad Mini (that is the device that you are using, family sharing requires iOS 8 ?) then there should be a 'Set Up Family Sharing' link/button at the top of the screen under your id - does that not show ? e.g.
After setting that up, then as the family organiser then you should be able to set up child accounts via Settings > iCloud > Family > Create An Apple For A Child on your iPad - the link in my above post has more info about that.

The reset issue for the Symbian^3 devices are slightly different. The C6 uses a different version and should not have the same issue.
Anyway, the full reset is not something you should contemplate lightly and should only be done if necessary as it wipes all your data. So, always remember to backup your phone before performing resets as your data may be lost.
The "3 finger deep reset". With the phone powered off, depress and hold these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone using the on/off button whilst keeping the three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.

I am not sure about your requirement, but yet.. Did you check UserSessionData object? It encompasses all the session variables.

PLEASE HELP - How to Hard Reset MSI Primo 81 OR RECOVERY

Hi everyone, I have a problem that I am hoping someone on this forum can help me with. I searched all over this website and through internet searches and can't find the information I need.
I need to find out how to do a Hard Reset on an MSI Primo 81 Android 4.4 Tablet?
We just got this device and we set it up with an administrator account with a PIN number and then a second user account with no PIN or Code.
We have not set it up with a Google account yet.
My son was in the administrator account and changed the pin and now can't remember what the new pin is. We have tried everything we can think of. He had saw me put my administrator pin in by looking over my shoulder which is how he was able to change it.
Since the tablet is brand new and has no Google account yet we have no other choice but to do a hard reset. This isn't a problem because we haven't installed anything yet.
If anyone knows ho to do a hard reset on this MSI Primo 81 your help will be greatly appreciated.
I don't know if maybe it can be put into recovery mode. I can't figure out how to do that either. If anyone knows how to get this tablet into the Android recovery mode I would appreciate any help with this as well.

The reset of Primo 81 would be long pressing the power key for over 8 secs, but it won't enter the Android recovery mode.
The better way to solve your problem now is to re-flash the firmware.

How to hard reset MSI Primo 73?

Have this MSI Primo 73 for a week now. With only one paid app, Sound Report Writer. Using the stock launcher and updated it with the new firmware from the official MSI website. The tablet crashed on me yesterday. It wont power on now. Will hard resetting it help? Is so, how?
Also, any other ways for me to power it on? Connecting it to the charger also doesn't work. I don't see the battery icon/ charging icon anymore.

Hard reset vs. delete data & restore

I am having problems with my C6-01, it will lose all voice, data & satellite connectivity while showing signal. Restarting the phone corrects it but I don't know it's not working by looking at it and therefore miss important calls. I want to try a reset, so here's my question:
Is there a chance that the "Delete Data & Retore" menu option will correct this or should I go directly to the hard reset? What would you experts do?

I would suggest that you backup device using Nokia Suite, then reset device to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user). Restore "Contacts" and "Messages" by all means but NOT "Settings" until you have had chance to try device; if any corruption present you will just reintroduce the problem otherwise.

How to hard reset MSI windpad enjoy 7 plus?

The screen bullet password has been locked after several attempts and it requests me to provide email address & password.
The wifi cannot be on currently, and I have forgotten the password for my email.
I have tried to hard reset, by pressing power & volume down keys together, but it is only the triangle and exclamation mark come out.
I upgraded the firmware, it does not resolve. Worse is that by pressing power & volume down keys together now, nothing has come out.

I have been advised by MSI that for the hard reset shall be:-
a) Press the power and volume down button and hold it until the green android icon shown up with the trianggle and an exclaimation mark.
b) After it shows up, press volume up button for only one time.
and I shall be able to go to the setting menu.
I have not tried it yet. Will try it tonigh and let you know.

There is no such thing as a "hard reset" on an iPhone. There is a reset (pressing and holding the Home and power buttons until the Apple appears) which is the equivalent of rebooting. Or, you can restore the device. Resetting will not help in this case.
Follow these instructions:
Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
Forum Tip: typing all in caps is considered shouting and therefore, rude. It's also hard to read. Some people will not ever try.
