How to have metadata show same settings every time opened

So I create new settings and save them and they show up fine in the project panel. But every subsequent time I open the project panel it has reverted to default settings and I have to click on my settings again. How to have "my settings" become the default? Any help appreciated. No, you are referring to a different issue than the original poster. This is best suited for an entirely new thread, but to offer a bit of insight quickly:
You are confusing clip metadata and file metadata. Clip metadata is metadata that is assigned to clip references within a single Premiere Pro project. That metadata does not travel with the media files that the clips represent. File metadata is, on the other hand, metadata that is embedded into or otherwise externally associated with those media files, and as such will travel into a new/different Premiere Pro project when imported. Check this help file entry for a summary of the differences between the metadata types.
Note that there is a preference in the "Media" settings that allow you to link clip and file metadata, so that as you enter metadata into one field, the field in the other metadata is populated. However, this only works for some fields, and only with some file types, like AVI and MOV. For example, P2 MXF metadata is NOT editable within Premiere Pro. This type of metadata has to be edited in an external application (ie. Panasonic P2 Viewer) and then will make the trip into Premiere Pro successfully.
As a quick solution for you, if you've only logged the clip metadata, and not linked it to the files, or you're using file types that don't allow for editable metadata within Premiere, you can just import your original project into your new one, and the clip metadata will make the transfer.

I often print series of pdfs from the print dialog box, I'd like to choose the map to save to and then have all subsequent pdf prints automatically directed to the same map until I decide otherwise.

As Larry mentioned I use a different DAM (digital asset management) appliclation, Media Pro 1. For other possible DAM apps visit The DAM Forum which is for professional photographers. There the various apps are discussed along with workflows. If nothing else you'll get some good information on managing digital "negatives".
Media Pro lets you manage the folder organization of your photos and write metadata, keywords, titles, and other metadata directly back to the files. No matter what app you go with have a backup plan in place to keep current backups of your source photos on separate hard drives.

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I can see why that would be frustrating! Have you tried selecting Stayed Signed In underneath the Adobe ID and Password boxes when you try to log in?
What did you use to create the PDF form? If you used FormsCentral, form data is saved to your online FormsCentral account. If you have Acrobat, you can export form data as described here: Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Manage form data files

My sound is running through the Saffire Pro 40 Interface (Focusrite) into external speakers with powered amps.
Also, When I record I am hearing little pops in the system. I have checked all of my meters and they are not clipping. What is causing it and how do I get it to stop?

The Mac reads the USB cable as a midi device, but not the keyboard that I am trying to use as a controller. I have tried it with my korg sp 300 and with my Nord Electro 2.

Notice, -internal interface-. What you have is a simple USB MIDI Interface. Most MIDI interfaces are USB.
My point is (was), MIDI OUT of the Korg goes to the connector marked MIDI IN on the Alesis, those new to MIDI often get this wrong.

This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

You may have inadvertently installed adware. Eradicating it is simple and you don't have to download or install anything to fix it. For an explanation or how this may have occurred, how to avoid it in the future, and for one possible solution read How to install adware.
Blocking popup windows in Safari and ad blocker extensions can be useful, but they are often ineffective defenses for this particular threat.

Adobe Media Encoder for Premiere Pro CS4 stops working on the same frame every time...

I currently have Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and have never had these issues exporting before. My timeline is less than 3 minutes long, but it does deal with multiple big files. It rendered perfectly and it plays perfectly in the timeline. When I try to export it using Media Encoder, however, it freezes at the same frame every time (which is actually only a few seconds in!) and then crashes, so that I have to force quit. I have tried exporting it as many different codecs and the problem persists... same frame. I tried creating a new project entirely and whipping together a few titles and exporting that to see if it just won't export anything at all. The new project exported just fine, however, which I suppose is good news. But yeah, my work on that other project is very important to me and I reallllly want to export it. Please help!

Hi Jim! Thank you for your reply. I think you are right -- and that it lies in the audio somehow!
It turns out that if I choose to only export the video, and uncheck audio, it will export very well and smoothly. That's great news for me!
However, now I am trying to work out how to get the audio exported without issues. I actually had the idea of just playing the audio in the timeline and recording it via Stereo Mix, but my Windows 7 driver has Stereo Mix disabled, so it's back to square one. Any ideas of what I can do about the corrupted audio not exporting, which works fine when played in the timeline?

Have to restart Lion server every time I want to access it remotely

My Mac Mini Server (10.7.3) is colocated at a data center.
At this point I have to restart Lion server every time I want to access it remotely for screen sharing over the internet.
I can make the connection, so all the right ports are open, as the port scan also shows, but it just times out when I wish to connect again within the same server without rebooting.
I bought Apple Remote Desktop but that doesn't help either. I can still connect through AFP, web and VPN.
I do hope that someone can give me some more insight in this problem.
Rebooting isn't a problem by the way...
UPDATE:
If I keep the session active overnight, there is no problem whatsoever, but when I log off as a "good practice", which I've learned using Windows, screen sharing will not work any longer. Forgetting about logging off seems to be a viable workaround at this point .

This is my 4th revoulution..same problems every time

This is my 4th phone (refurbished) and I keep having the same issues every time. About 3-5 days after activating the phone, I get dropped calls, people sound like they're under water, black screen, freezes up, shuts down..and many many more, I've been dealing with "tech" support only to have ANOTHER revolution sent to me. I'm wondering if anyone else has been having the same or similar problem? Any suggestions on how to handle this and possibly getting different model phone..help because I'm ready to throw it across the room. it's very frustrating and I'm fed up with the phone and Verizon it's self. any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank You

Try reverting to automatic updating if you are manually doing it, or vica versa. Also, make sure your headphones are working by testing with another device. Alternatively, the headphone port may be clogged with gunk. Get a Q-tip or something appropriate and put a dab of metholayted spirits on it. Clean the contacts of the port by inserting it and rotating several times. Try playing again.

Just installed iTunes 8 and switched to Album display. Display now shows same album many times. Each time is for a different song. Occurs on compilation CD that has many artists, showing one for each artist. Example: Top Gun Soundtrack
