How to have "new folder" command highlight name change?
On a couple of my Macs, when I give a "new folder" command, the "untitled folder" name is immediately selected/highlighted for immediate entry of the new name for the folder.
On other Macs I have, when I give a "new folder" command, I must then manually select the "untitled folder" name before I can type in the new name.
Does anyone know how to set my Finder so that when I give a "new folder" command it will be immediately highlighted/selected for entry of the new name?
I'm using the latest OS-X on all of my Macs.

All my Macs select the name in the untitled folder for immediate renaming.
Exactly what happens when your Mac does not allow immediate renaming? The only way this happens is if the folder loses focus, which can happen if another app is running and takes focus, or if you click the mouse somewhere.

This can be done in SAP menu instead of User Menu, provided all your users are using SAP menu. If a folder is created in User menu it would be visible only to the user. If it is created in SAP menu and if all the users are using the SAP menu then the folder would be visible to all...

Well I could actually add the playlists so that I could name them but I put in another Ipod on the same computer and since I put the first one back in, the option for me to put in my own playlists has gone. Any ideas? thanks

I would suggest to create a library template of an empty library with this settings as NO. Use this template for creating new libraries.
For updating existing libraries you can use:
$Site = Get-SPSite http://Site
$ListName = "library Name"
$Site | Get-SPWeb | ForEach-Object {
$List = $_.Lists[$listName]
$List.EnableFolderCreation = $false
$List.Update()
$Site.Dispose()
You can modify the above script for you need.

Is it possible to have NEW emails print automatically?

We operate a small restaurant and are setting up an online order form. If possible, we would like the new email orders to print automatically so the kitchen can hear a new order coming in, and then simply grab the paper for the order WITHOUT having to mess around with the computer. Is it possible to make a folder or "something" that will print all new arrivals?

How to create a DVD in iDVD without menu (there are several options):
1. Easy: Drop your iMovie in the autoplay box in iDVD's Map View, then set your autoplay item (your movie) to loop continously. Disadvantage: The DVD plays until you hit stop on the remote
2. Still easy: If you don't want your (autoplay) movie to loop, you can create a black theme by replacing the background of a static theme with a black background and no content in the dropzone (text needs to be black as well). Disadvantage: The menu is still there and will play after the movie. You don't see it, but your disc keeps spinning in the player.
3. Still quite easy but takes more time: Export the iMovie to DV tape, and then re-import using One-Step DVD.
Disadvantage: One-Step DVD creation has been known to be not 100% reliable.
4. (My preferred method) Easy enough but needs 3rd party software: Roxio Toast lets you burn your iMovie to DVD without menu - just drag the iMovie project to the Toast Window and click burn. Disadvantage: you'll need to spend some extra $$ for the software. In Toast, you just drop the iMovie project on the Window and click Burn.
5. The "hard way": Postproduction with myDVDedit (freeware)
Tools necessary: myDVDedit ( http://www.mydvdedit.com )
• create a disc image of your iDVD project, then double-click to mount it.
• Extract the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to a location of your choice. select the VIDEO_TS folder and hit Cmd + I to open the Inspector window
• Set permissions to "read & write" and include all enclosed items; Ignore the warning.
• Open the VIDEO_TS folder with myDVDedit. You'll find all items enclosed in your DVD in the left hand panel.
• Select the menu (usually named VTS Menu) and delete it
• Choose from the menu File > Test with DVD Player to see if your DVD behaves as planned.If it works save and close myDVDedit.
• Before burning the folders to Video DVD, set permissions back to "read only", then create a disc image burnable with Disc Utility from a VIDEO_TS folder using Laine D. Lee's DVD Imager:

Our resident expert, Old Toad, also recommends this: there is a 3rd export/share option that give better results. That's to use the Share ➙ Media Browser menu option. Then in iDVD go to the Media Browser and drag the movie into iDVD where you want it.

I've a customer who wants to use an own subscreen in PM / IW24.
He wants to select it like a predefined scenario in the user default values / ref. object / scenario ...
I can create new dynpros / subscreens ... no problem. But how to tell PM that these subscreens shall be used as a selectable scenario in iw24?

I have a page with an advanced, there is a multiple selection for the table for deleting row. Now I want to have a single selection column for other purpose. But it does not seem that we can have both in a table.
If I implement SingleSelection myself by using OAMessageRadioButton, from dev guide, I need to programmatically assign radio btton all the same
name by calling setName() for each radio button and also assign an identifying value for each bean. I can radio for radio button, but how can I assign value for each radio button bean when they are in a table? Will it possible to use View Attribute of radio button bean property?

Lei, its possible to have both in ur table! You can add a single selection child to your table. Then u can add messagecheckbox as last column of table, which can be attached to a transient VO attribute.

In the window you want to change set up your view, then press COMMAND-J. Check the box to always open in that view (top of the dialog.)

hi,
first i copied the report 12KST1G in my Y12KST1G with form. In CJE2 when i Click this report then in the whatever fields coming in the characteristics we can put it in 'variables' tab and these will be the fields which is displayed on the selecton screen. So after doing the wbove changes in the exit , I am not able to get the fields in characteristics vale so that I can put it in variable. or do we have to do some chnages in the screen for this z report which is like std. one.
FYI..The display of the fields was done in z-report with library but this is like a report without library and we did some chnages in the exit.

How to add new folder in Aperture thats been created on hard drive?

This is probably a simple answer, but here it goes.
I manage all my photos in directories such as this:
2007
01 - January
02 - February
03 - March
etc..... however I just added the 2007 foler and all its subfolders to my drive tonight, however I can't sem to figure out how to easily add it to Aperture in order to read from those folders?

also, you can decide to ignore the import panel entirely, and import the folders by dragging and dropping them in your project list. if you drag multiple folders at once, they will be imported as multiple projects.
holding the Command and Option keys while doing this will result in a "referenced files" import. By default (without modifiers) the images get "managed" (i.e. copied into database).
my structure on HD is similar to yours. What I do in AP is that I create a blue folder first, name it 2007, and then drag folders from the mac os finder on that blue folder.
experiment with this and you'll find that it is much faster, gives more flexibility, and involves less repetitive actions than using the import folder.
one last thing: this action sees AP generating an error message, but the image that is said "not imported" still is, and all should function properly...

Can't highlight and delete or move large volumes of emails. Have to hold command to select multiple and click on each one ?

I love being able to mass delete, mark as read or move emails but with Mountain Lion I now have to select each email individually and cannot just hold mouse and roll up and select in large volumes. I can select more than one only if holding down command and clicking on each email. Is there a way around this? What has changed?
This is terrible and completely time consuming to delete emails.

Found solution. Must double click first and then scroll!
