How to Hide ADOBE Toolbar in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi Team,
I have an ADOBE form (Display Only) coded in my Web Dynpro ABAP application which displays data from the context of a view. I want to hide and disable the PDF toolbar. How to achieve this. I saw a method SET_HIDE_TOOLBAR, but don't know where to write code for this. The form is NOT interactive (want this only for printing). We are on Support pack 10.
Any ideas?

for more information about layout options in forms, go to your form in transaction SFP, layout view and choose Help -> Adobe LifeCycle Designer Help. There you find information on page layout, e.g. " Objects can be placed anywhere on a master page, inside or outside the content area. As a general rule, do not place objects inside the content area unless your intention is to have other objects laid down on top of the master page objects when the form is rendered. If you are setting up a watermark, place it inside the content area. "

This is the following error, which i got when i tested my application. Calling adobe form from Web Dynpro ABAP.
WebDynpro Exception: ADS: Request start time: Tue Nov 16 14:00:22 YEKT
2010(200,101).

Hi Nalla,
if you can't find any Function Modules or BAPIs as Kris suggested, you would basically do this (conceptionally):
1. What is your business logic supposed to do (output) and what information does it need (input) for processing.
2. Build a class in se24 and implement static public methods with the business logic you defined in (1.).
3. Call the static methods in your WD4A-Framework.
If you are unfamiliar with the class builder, make a local class first in se80, in a test program or alike.

Hi Darshna,
The report result is ALV and in most of the cases we generally do not have function modules or any other easy way to get the output.
In such cases the best approach which we follow is, to run this in background mode and generate the spool and display the ouput in PDF.
But if intertactive form is not present in your requirement then we need to debug the logic of the report (if no FM or class present) and get the results and display it in the View.

Problem with Table display in Adobe Form of Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi Team,
I'm trying to display a table in Adobe Print Form (not interactive). The table is bound to the context node in the Web Dynpro ABAP where the cardinality is 0:N. I get a short dump. Don't know what to do here. I'm able to display individual fields from my context successfully. Looks like something is missing when I try to display a table. Any pointers to display a data table in Adobe? Any step by step example you know of where I can find out what I did wrong? Many thanks for your time

We upgraded our system(2004S) to SP10 so that we can use the ADOBE form printing in Web Dynpro ABAP but could not apply note 1034425 because of the validity constraints in SNOTE. All the pre-requisite notes are already in the system apart from one note 1029721 which talks about supporting input helps. We don't want to use input helps in our system and cannot upgrade to SP11 because of problems with Business functionality.
Questions:
1) Is note 1034425 absolutely dependent on 1029721?
2) If NOT, can someone please correct the validity so that we can implement using SNOTE.
3) Would it be OK if we manually apply the changes specified in 1034425 without implementing 1029721?
4) If all of the above is not applicable, is there any other note which fixes the above mentioned short dump.
Your help in this matter will greatly help us in using the ADOBE services provided by SAP WDA.

Issue While printing / Previewing a Adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP application

Dear All,
We have designed 4 different adobe forms using SFP transaction for 4 different countries in SAP system.
Every country have different terms and conditions and therefore we have placed static texts (Hardcoded text) with text in different styles. Some text is in bold, some in different font (Bold, Italic). Font and Paragraph settings of the text was done as per expected. All the forms have same font and paragraph settings.
When we Launch Web Dynpro ABAP application to open the form in Print preview or to take print, form is not getting displayed / printed as it is designed in SFP. But if you open the form in SFP, everything looks fine.
It is working fine for 3 different forms but problem with only 1 form.
Kindly guide what is the reason for this strange issue when previewed or taken print. It is very urgent.

Thanks for your responses.
We had identified the reason.
Customer has provided terms and conditions for all 4 countries in PDF document. Along with PDF, for 3 out of 4 countries customer has shared pre-prepared word document with pre aligned and justified terms and conditions as per expected outcome. We copied this text from word to Adobe form layout. It worked fine. For 1 country, customer have not shared terms and conditions in word document. Therefore we had copied text directly from adobe PDF document in to Form layout. Then this issue happened.
Solution for this issue is to, prepared a word document with expected alignment and justification of terms and conditions text . Then copied from word to adobe livecycle designer form layout. It worked fine.

Submit button from Interactive adobe form in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi all,
We seem to be having a problem with the 'submit' button on the Interactive Form for the Web Dynpro ABAP. The submit button is from the Web Dynpro active X or web Dynpro Native in the form designer. The submit button doesn't trigger the action in Web Dynpro. we are currently running on support pack 9 for the ABAP stack. We have Internet Explorer browser version 6. Could someone tell me if there are requirements for the IE version that will work in conjunction with a particular ABAP stack version. And, are there specific IE security settings or administrative privilages required with this version of the ABAP stack. Or, any other ideas as to why this does not seem to work.

How to fill BI cube with Web Dynpro ABAP Program UI

Hello,
I am new in web dynpro ABAP and need zour help. How can i write aABAP web dynpro program, which allows the user to enter transactional data and saved in the real time infocube.
I know that such a functionality exist in the integrated planning where a real time infocube, changeable query, data provider and web template are created, and through which a user can enter or change for sepecific master data combination transactional data and save them in the info cube.
Have you an experience in the way of implementing an user interface in connection with the real time cube. Do i have to use the BIAPPLICATIONFRAME UI element or is there a better way.

How to call custom themes for Web Dynpro ABAP Application?

I need to change the appearance of Web Dynpro ABAP application. So far I followed below steps,
1.     Created theme folder u2018testngou2019 (SE80->MIME Repositoty -> SAP->PUBLIC->BC->UR->nw5->themes -> u2018testngou2019 ).
2.     used program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to dowmloaod content of u2018sap_tradeshowu2019 (SE80->MIME Repositoty -> SAP->PUBLIC->BC->UR->nw5->themes -> sap_tradeshowu2019) to desktop.
3.     Modified the themes using Eclipse Theme Editor.
4.     used program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to upload modified themes to MIME repository u2018testngou2019 (SE80->MIME Repositoty -> SAP->PUBLIC->BC->UR->nw5->themes -> u2018testngou2019) .
My current URL is like http://server.name:XXXX/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_startpage_int_cand?sap-client=XXX.
Now I want to know how custom themes called for Web Dynpro ABAP Application.
Is my approach correct?

Hi Naddy,
What you used is one way and even I failed when tried that method,
Instead go to SE38 - WD_THEMES - and you need to upload the zip file and you need to follow a folder structure.
it is case sensitive, atleast the zip file.
Make a zip file by name "Project.zip" -
Create a Folder Project and have the below folder structure,
1 data - all the properties files and also the designinfo file, below is the code
2 themes - (to get all the files download the theme from portal and you will have all the folders)
   2.1 ur
     2.1.1 name of the theme
       2.1.1.1 common
       2.1.1.2 csf
       2.1.1.3 r
       2.1.1.4 ur - all the css files (would be good if you can get the files from the server.)
       2.1.1.5   WSRP
3 war - empty folder
*.designinfo
isVisible=true
version=7.0.14.1.0
isDefault=false
isSapDesign=false
designName=**** name of the theme
Once done create a zip file and click on Start Import and give the path and will ask for transport request, it will take a while to upload once done as mentioned in the use the parameter sap-ep-themeroot="path"
This will resolve the issue.

How to open print dialog from web dynpro abap application

Hi experts,
I have a web dynpro application with several views and onone of the view there is a button that should open print dialog with printers list and all other options (standard print dialog we see in windows). I did reserach on SDN and came to now that this is a limitation of web dynpro abap. I did find some code also but unfortunately our current version of ABAP(7.0) do not support the code I found. I am not able to find any proper solution for this. Could someone please let me know how I can open a print dialog by clicking on a button in web dynpro abap? Any sample code or any information would be greatky appreciated.

How to send Variable from a web dynpro abap application to anthor

    I have two web dynpro abap applications .
    I want to send a Variable from a web dynpro abap application to another web dynpro abap application using post method.
    Because, now I have used append_field_url to send Variable,but this method will display the Variable in the URL.
    I do not need this result.
    I need the Variable from a web dynpro abap application to another web dynpro abap application and the Variable will not display in the URL.
    Can you give me an example?

EXPORT l_send-l_value FROM l_send TO SHARED MEMORY indx(aa) ID 'YTEST_MATNR'.
The second web dynpro abap application:
DATA:BEGIN OF m_send,
     s_value TYPE string,
     END OF m_send.
IMPORT m_send-s_value TO m_send FROM SHARED BUFFER indx(aa) ID 'YTEST_MATNR'.
DELETE FROM MEMORY ID 'YTEST_MATNR'.

How to hide Interactive form in Web dynpro screen

Hi all,
I am working on an application where a user will enter the vendor number and based on that vendor the information of the vendor such as his name, address should get filled in the interactive form that we have created. I am able to get the vendor information at the back end and I have created a print button and hitting on that print button will actually fill the form. But now my problem is when I run the application the form is already displayed on the web dynpro screen (without any vlaues) and when I hit print button the form gets filled with correct values but I don;t want form to be pre displayed until and unless user hits print button. Can you please tell me how can I do this.

Let me explain you what I want... I am very new to webdynpro so my questions may sound very basic or may be weird.
I have an application where the user will enter the vendor number on the web dynpro screen and then will hit the button PRINT and when he hits print button the PDF form should be displayed on the web dynpro screen. So far when I run my application the vendor number (input field) is there and a print button is also there but beneath there is the whole interactive form is showing up (a balnk) and when I enter the vendor number and hit print the same form will get filled up with the required data.
What I want is when I execute my application and on the web dynpro screen only the vendor number field and the print button should be visible and not the PDF form, the PDF form should only be displayed once user hit print button. I tried to change the value of the property from visible to none and what it did was the PDF form was not visible on the web dynpro screen on both the occassion i.e. when I execute the the web dynpro applkication and after when user hits print button.
