How to hide web app data in a detail template

Hi, is it possible to hide some part of my content from a web app detail template.
For example, I am doing a company directory which has some layout like:
Phone: {tag_telephone}
Email: {tag_email}
Website: {tag_website}
If one company does not provide a website address for example, it looks like this on the page:
Phone: 12345
Email: [email protected]
Website:
(with a blank area left next to the heading of 'website' - but the website heading sits there looking lonely
Is there a way I can tell BC 'if you don't fill out a field, you don't display the field itself and the heading that goes next to it. So it would look like this:
Phone: 12345
Email: [email protected]
Some businesses will have websites, others not, and the same scenario applies for phone and email, the companies may just provide one or more of each item. It would be good to get away with getting a dash next to the item that isn't used.

This can be fixed by doging something along these lines:
Assign an id (ex: m1) to the div in which you place your webside field, and contain this in another div with another id (ex m0), which contains the "E-mail:" tag as well. With a little java script you can checkhide if m1 is empty and if so, alter the style for m0 to be hidden.

How to hide background apps from dock?

I have an application (Hardware Growler) that appears in the dock, but it's a background app, so I'd like it to not appear in the dock.
In the user account preferences, there's a "hide" checkbox for programs that are launched on startup. No help (but maybe I have to reboot, which Mac users aren't supposed to have to do).
I've tried dragging it off the dock. It always moves back to the dock.
I've tried setting NSUIElement to "1". No help.
I've tried right-clicking on the item in the dock and selecting "Hide". No help.

Hi all, i think the topic says it all, my Q is, in the downloads folder i got a lot of downloaded apps which i downloaded from the net, now my Q is again, how to empty this folder without loosing my apps that works with these downloaded apps? deleted these files once and the apps related to it stopped working!! how to empty the DOWNLOADS folder? The Downloads folder is designed as a temporary place to put files that you download from the net. Soon after you download each file you should decide to move it to its proper place if you want to keep it, or put it in the Trash if you don't. In particular, applications should be put in the Applications folder, or a folder inside Applications. If you keep your Downloads folder organized, you won't have this problem.
If you have a lot of stuff in your Downloads folder to clear out, I suggest you open the folder, view its contents as List, and sort by Kind. That will put all the applications together and make it easier to locate them in order to move them to where they belong.

I don't know if "syncing", after you hide the purchases in iTunes, will also hide them on your phone, but give it a shot...see what happens. I have not tested yet.

How do we get apple to create an app that allows us to lock/hide other apps we don't want others using/seeing?

I don't want to "jailbreak" my iTouch but I do want to be able to hide and/or restrict the use of some of my apps. I have spent several hours looking for a way to do this but no luck. It seems like a logical thing to me to have this option. Any suggestions on how to encourage Apple to create a 'hide an app' app?

So enable the Settings -> General -> Passcode lock
Also in Passcode lock set the "Require Passcode After..." to a value that allows you to unlock again within 'n' minutes of the most recent lock/sleep without needing a passcode.
Then to make life easy for you, set the Settings -> General -> Auto-Lock to a time peroid that re-locks soon enough for you without being annoying
So if someone goes into your purse, they will not get access to anything.
NOTE: 10 failed passcode entries will lock up your iPod Touch such that you will be forced to restore your iPod Touch from you most recent sync/backup with iTunes on your personal computer. So if you go this route, make sure you frequently sync with iTunes on your personal computer or you will loose most of the information on your touch. If you are using iCloud to backup stuff on your touch, then that is another route, assuming what you backup does not exceed the free 5GB iCloud or you have purchased extra iCloud space. Personally, I make sure I have a regular iTunes backup, so if anything happens to my touch, I can just restore from my most recent backup.

Demo's answer explains how to hide it in iTunes... but if I understand correctly, you're trying to hide the icon on the iPad screen but still have the app on the iPad? There's no way to do that. You could put an app in a folder, which isn't exaclty hiding it, but is the closest you can come. If you enable restrictions the app will be hidden, but that only works for certain apps and you'd have to turn off the restrictions to use it.

i am currently using custom_AddDocLibMenuItems to implement a custom ECB menu for my document library. I need to activate Office Web Apps. My custom_AddDocLibMenuItems has two items
-> custom dialog
-> open in office web apps
After activating the Office Web Apps Feature at the SiteCollection Level, this Feature "injects" in my custom menu the following
additional menu items:
-> View in Browser
-> Edit in Browser
Its curious to see that, cause implementing the js function custom_AddDocLibMenuItems with
return true should be the way to impolement a custom ECB menu without having other features/solutions injecting things in this menu!? Or did i misunderstood something here?
My question is: How can i prevent this ...
a) without deactivating the Office Web Apps Feature
b) without modifying the core.js

Help! How to hide the keyboard in app...

I was bidding on an item in the free ebay App (provided by Ebay v 1.6.1 and the keyboard would not hide and I could not place a second bid. I had made one successful bid and then on a second bid (about 2 minutes later) the keyboard would not go away and I could not submit the bid - only enter a dollar value. It was beyond frustrating watching the time tick down and not being able to place a bid.
Please someone tell me how to hide the keyboard. I tried everything I knew how - tapping the screen, shaking the iphone, exiting out and coming back in and refreshing the app. Nothing would get the keyboard to go away and allow me to touch the submit bid button.

Well the ability of how the keyboard shows and hides is a function of what the developer of the app made. Sounds like a bug in their program or just bad usability.
This is a topic to discuss with eBay as they developed the app. Their code has to control how things happen. Normally leaving a field to type in will make it go away, but if they didn't provide a way to leave focus, then that is a usability issue on their part.

On iTunes on your computer under purchased, select the x on the top corner. That will hide them.
