How to hide Bottom Line in Report ?

Hi everyone,
We are working on Reports 11gr2 64-bit.
In every report, when text is completed on a page, a horizonal line (i.e. bottom line) at the end of the every page is shown and printed unnecessarily.
But creates problem in printed stationary, specially in Cheque-printing.
Kindly advise me how to hide this bottom-line, specially in printing.
Thanks.
Dev.

HI
Is these reports are developed on 11g or migrated from earlier version.
Anyhow, to test it, - create a report from scratch on 11g and run it, Also check the Footer for any Lines on it.
I hope you can identify the issue by redoing the thing for testing
Best of luck

  • How to hide Header Page in Report Builder 6.0

    Hi,
    I am trying to modify the existing report. My requirement is to add a cover page to the report. Based on condition the cover page should not be displayed.
    Ex: If currency='USD' then
    cover page along with the report body
    else
    if currency = NULL then
    report body should be displayed.
    I wrote a format trigger on cover page frame. but it is displaying blank page as first page. It should not display blank page.
    Format trigger:
    function M_Cover_Page1FormatTrigger return boolean is
    begin
    if (:CP_currency IS NULL)
    then
    return (FALSE);
    end if;
    return (TRUE);
    end;

  • How to hide division lines in numbers?

    Is it possible to hide the lines you see in every spresdsheet you create?
    Also, how do you avoid those same lines to be printed out?
    Thanks

    There are two different kinds of lines: Borders and Gridlines. They both go around cells but they are not the same thing.
    Borders are the lines that print. Borders can be turned off (set to "none"). You can set one, many, or all of them to "none".
    Gridlines are not seen unless you have set one or more borders to "none"; the borders cover them up.  Gridlines only are visible when the table is selected. Gridlines cannot be turned off but they do not print.
    So, the answers to your questions are
    The lines you see in every table can be turned off, kind of.  You can turn off the borders but you cannot turn off the gridlines.
    Borders that are set to "none" will not be printed. When the table is not selected, what you see is what will be printed.

  • How to select multiple lines in reports

    Hi,
    how to select multiple lines in a reports and process those selected lines to other activities like BDC.
    Please paste sample report here. or any demo examples . (don't paste ALV report , paste only classical report)
    suppose there are 10 records in output, i want to select 3 records and process other activities like bdc.
    Point will awarded.

    Hi ,
    the o/p in ur case will be a basic list output with a check box enabled in the left .
    Now say there are 10 records in the list output and i have checked 3 of them where checkboxes are enabled .
    And i press a button to submit this to the BDC .
    Here u need to make use of
    READ LINE statement to read the records from the list output and then pass them to the BDC .
    The code would be something like this
    DO .
    Read line index <field> where checkbox <> ' '.
    ENDO.
    You can have a look at the F1 help on read line . This will mkae u clear .
    Hope this gives u an idea.

  • How to hide one field in report [discoverer desktop ]

    i am using rownum column in cross tab(discoverer) report to avoiding group by data in the report.
    Now how to hide the ROWNUM Column in the report.
    plz reply me.

    Hi
    To add to what Rod and Russ have said, the white on white option actually has real uses and not just for suppressing a sorted item. It is a most useful technique that I use a lot to hide the intermediate row-level results of analytic functions, while just displaying a grand total. It looks cool too. If I find some time I'll make a posting on my blog although it probably won't be until next year - oh yeah that's only two weeks away isn't it?

    Thanks in Advance
    VenkatNot out-of-the-box, but there are several workarounds if you wish to pursue any of them:
    1) Use a View Selector. One report will have a pivot table with the column, the other will have the same report minus the column. Users can switch reports.
    2) Use a Column Selector. The two choices would be that column or a blank. If the blank is chosen (because the user sees there are no values), the column will "disappear" from the report.
    3) Use Guided Nav. This method doesn't involve user intervention. Build a small report using the one column and put a filter on it "is not equal to" 0. Because there is only one column, if all the rows are 0, the report will not return rows.
    Use this report in the guided navigation properties of a section of the dashboard. Set this to "if the report returns rows" and put the report that has the column in this section. Now add another section to your dashboard and in the guided navigation properties of this section, set it to "if the report returns no rows" and point it to the small report as well. In this section put a second version of your report without the column in it.
    When the column contains all zeroes, the second section will display with the column not in it; the first section will not display. When at least one row contains a non-zero value, the first section will appear with the column, and the second section will not.

  • Flex charts: How to hide axis lines with CSS?

    Hello!
    How do I hide my axis lines with CSS? Shouldn't this work?
    <mx:Style>
      @namespace mx "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx";
      mx|ColumnChart {
        horizontalAxisStyleName: myAxisStyles;
        verticalAxisStyleName: myAxisStyles;
      .myAxisStyles { showLine: false; }
    </mx:Style>
    I also tried display: none.
    Prior to this I used:
    <mx:horizontalAxisRenderers>
      <mx:AxisRenderer showLine="false" axis="{someName.horizontalAxis}" />
    </mx:horizontalAxisRenderers>
    <mx:verticalAxisRenderers>
      <mx:AxisRenderer showLine="false" axis="{someName.verticalAxis}" />
    </mx:verticalAxisRenderers>
    But it produced some annoying warnings:
    Data binding will not be able to detect assignments to "horizontalAxis".
    Data binding will not be able to detect assignments to "verticalAxis".
    Thanks!
    --Dwayne

    Regarding the data binding warnings, see if you can get away without specifying the axis. Not sure if that will work. Otherwise, give the axis an id like the example at the bottom of http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/mx/charts/AxisRenderer. html#axis.
    The doco for showLine says "Specifies whether to display the axis. The default value is true." I think it's referring to the line at the bottom of the axis, next to the numbers. It's nothing to do with the grid lines. Which explains why your code doesn't work.
    If you are not using gridlines at all (= not using the lines, not using horizontal-fill and horizontal-alternate-fill etc), then I think you can just get rid of them by specifying an empty array. Either in actionscript or in your chart tag (<mx:ColumnChart id="highlights" dataProvider="{results.result}" showDataTips="true">) add the argument: backgroundElements = "[]".
    If this is not desireable, go to plan b:
    You can control gridlines via css like this:
    mx|GridLines {
        gridDirection: both; // horizontal or vertical also accepted, but not "none".
    If you want none... well I've got some code where I do this:
    (backgroundElements[0] as GridLines).setStyle("gridDirection", "horizontal");
    // One of the arguments is the alpha, i.e. alpha=0 (translucent)
    var stroke:SolidColorStroke = new SolidColorStroke(0, 0, 0);
    (backgroundElements[0] as GridLines).setStyle("horizontalStroke", stroke);
    ... and that definitely works.

    hi Eswar,
    List the columns for which if there is no data, you want to suppress section details and section name.
    1) Select 'Section on: Field'. Go to Properties tab.
    2) Display -> 'Hide section when the following are empty' . click on the Right side drop down.
    3) select (Check Mark) the appropriate columns which you have listed.
    3rd step is very important as it will decide to display section name or not.
    Please try it again.

  • How to hide/view a SSRS report parameter control dynamically at runtime?

    Hi,
    I am using SSRS 2005. I want to enable/disable or hide/view parameters based on another parameter selection.
    Say Suppose I have 5 parameters. User selects first value in first parameter I should show only Second parameter and hide remaining 3 parameters (Parameter 3,Parameter 4 & Parameter 5).
    If user selects second value in first parameter I should show third parameter and hide remaining 3 parameters(Parameter 2,Parameter 4 & Parameter 5).
    Similarly If user selects third value in first parameter I should show fourth and fifth parameter and hide remaining 2 parameters(Parameter 2 & Parameter 3).
    There is no relationship between these parameters except user selection.
    I can not see any Visible property for report parameters.
    Any "builtin" support in SSRS for this scenario.
    Appreciate your help.
    Regards,
    Bala

    Thanks for the tips.
    RDL is deployed in Report sever and the Report is integrated with .net application. End user view the
    Reports from Application.
    Currently I show the parameters as you mentioned in point 2.
    Based on my understanding on Point 1,  I want to create an independent web page in .net that has
    the entire parameters section and then a submit button that calls the report with the selected parameters.
    From SSRS side, I want to hide the parameters statically and make default values as NULL.
    Can I achieve Show/Hide parameter functionality by this way?

  • How to hide columns in SSRS Reports

    I have allocation list which has various columns and weekly allocation text columns like Week1Allocation,Week2Allocation,Week3Allocation ……Week51Allocation.
    I generating a report in which I am showing resource and there allocation in below form
    Resource Name Week1Allocation,Week2Allocation,Week3Allocation ……Week51Allocation
    Xyz
    40
    40
    43
    11
    While creating report I drag and drop Week Columns in value field and resource name in Row field.
    My requirement is to show Week column starting from current week and next 3 week, How can I achieve this in SRRS or What should I do to get the reports in desired form, What could be the best possible
     design (List design ) for scenario. Please suggest.

    Hi Alok,
    In your scenario, if we want to show Week column starting from current week to next 3 week, we should use expressions to control the 51 columns visibility. This is not a sensible method.
    Generally, we always use one column contains Week1Allocation, Week2Allocation, Week3Allocation ……Week51Allocation values, other than create 51 columns. So I suggest we can modify the dataset to use one column (Week) contains those weeks and other column
    (Allocation) contains the corresponding values, then we can drop Week column under Resource_name in Row groups and drop Allocation column in Values field. Then use the expression below to control the Allocation column visibility:
    =iif(Fields!Week.Value=datepart("ww",today) or Fields!Week.Value =(datepart("ww",today)+1) or Fields!Week.Value =(datepart("ww",today)+2),false,true)
    Hope this helps.

  • How to hide URL when calling Reports from Forms 10g.

    Hi ,
    When end user runs a report through a form then report output is displayed and following type of URL is also generated on address bar of browser: http://server:7778/reports/rwservlet/getjobid22243?server=rep_servername_appsrv
    Can we hide this URL so that the user cant change the JOB_ID and get access to other previous reports.
    Thanks & Regards,
    NL

    Actually, there are several options including the one already offered above. Here are a few more:
    1. If you are using 10.1.2.3 and a newer JRE on the client (e.g. 1.6.0_10 or newer), you could use java script to open the report. This will not be a perfect solution because it may not work if using a non-IE browser or if java scripting is disabled. Refer to MyOracleSupport Article 265863.1 for more information.
    EXAMPLE:
    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ('javascript:void(window.open("http://www.oracle.com","","location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,"));self.close()','_blank');Replace the url in the above example with the call to your report.
    2. Set the age of the cache to a very short value so that it is only available long enough to be viewed by the user who created it. In other words, when setting the reports properties in your Forms code, include the Reports "others" parameter with TOLERANCE=1
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_OTHER,'TOLERANCE=1');This will cause the cache (on the server) to live for only one minute then be deleted. Refer to the Report Deployment Guide for more information.
    3. Upgrade to Fusion Middleware (Forms/Reports) 11. In version 11, the Reports jobid can be randomized. See section 18.8.2 of the Reports 11 Deployment Guide
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/bi.1111/b32121/toc.htm
