How to hide catalog choice in hierarchy?

I dont think you can just hide it for choice in hierarchy. It is an over all setting and that can be acheived by following the steps below:
1) Click on catalog menu option after logging in with admin rights.
2) Select shared Folders from the left and click on properties located at the very bottom of the page.
3) Check the hidden box under attributes. Doing the above three steps you will acheive hiding the shared folders from the users, and there is a privilege to see hidden items, which you can assign to roles/groups based on your requirements.
As far as hiding the Myfolders, this is a general setting again, and I dont think this is specific to this example. If you wanted to hide it from users overall, check out the Personal Storage (My Folders and My Dashboard) privilege.

Hi Frank,
Another way would be to restrict the hierarchy in the query definition. Select all nodes, except the root. You can do the same in excel and save the query as a view. Of course, you have to maintain this selection every time the hierarchy gets new nodes.

My requirment is like this:
Department--------Sales--------Percentage(%)
Total---------------600---------(NULL)
A----------------100---------- 0.5
B-----------------200-------(NULL)
C----------------300--------0.33
Department column is a hierarchy column.
The expression for Percentage(%) column is:
CASE WHEN Department ='A' THEN Filter(Sales Using Department='A' )/ Filter(Sales Using Department='B' ) WHEN Department ='C' THEN Filter(Sales Using Department='A' )/ Filter(Sales Using Department='C' ) END
But the total for Percentage(%) is wrong value, so I want to hide it, So anyone know how to do it?

The very purpose of VARIANT CONFIGURATION is to for this material these are the characteristics available
In this you choose one characteristic then these are the values available
If you make a choice then this is the price
Means Maruthi car is the product
Say 800
Alto
Zen
These are characteristics
In this you choose say black, cherry red, white these are the values
When you put a sales order for Maruthi car then if it is 800 black colour then price is X
if it is 800 white colour then price is y
So that according to the choice of the customer the pricing and other details are fetched
Why do you want to defeat the very purpose of VARIANT CONFIGURATION
Rather than listing out of the whole product list the system simplifies the thing
Without that popup variant configuration is meaningless

How to hide the Print and Export button in analytics report or tasks pane

In BIEE 11g,
How to hide the Print and Export button in analytics report or tasks pane ?
For example:
In console,I have created one userA which is belong to BIConsumer GROUP , when I make use of the highest user 'weblogic' to create one simple report, then the userA will login the analytivs to view this report (not dashboard), it will show the print and export as below.So customers do not want to give him the privilege for printing and exporting.
In addtion, go to catalog->tasks(left corner), it will also show the print and export button. So how to hide or not access these button?
Note: Maybe it can use the policy for consumer role for implementing this requirement, but I do not know how to modify the policy. Are you facing the problem? Thanks.

Hi,
1. Create seperate folder for Reports & Dashobard.
2. For BI_Consumer (userA) set the catalog permission to view Dashboard Folder only and remove permission on the Report Folder (you can give traverse permission but don't give Open permision).
3. By this user won't be able to open or run any reports in that folder and the only way he can see the reports is through Dashboard and on dashboard the export and print buttone can be removed very easily.

How to hide RMAN command line args from "ps -ef" command?

This is not RMAN question per say but it is related to my RMAN script. Part of this RMAN script is below:
rman target / catalog ${RMANID}/${RMANPW}@${RMANSID} log=${TMPFILE} << EOF
While the script is running, if I issue "ps -ef | grep rman" command (from my own user id or as 'oracle' user), I see following:
oracle 32522 32492 36 15:32 pts/1
00:00:01 rman target / catalog rman/rman2013@rmancat log=/tmp/oratmp32492
Is there a way to hide the values of the variables (Id, Pwd, SID) from the "ps -ef" command?
If not, any other an alternates?

The job index tab page is IT0783. You can check this through transaction OOFRAMEWORKCUST. In the same transaction, double click on u201CTab Page in Scenario for each Object Typeu201D folder under u201CScenario Definition (Hierarchy Framework)u201D in the left column. The scenario for PPOME is OME0. Look for the entry for OME0 and tab page IT0783 and check the u201Cdo not displayu201D box the last column.

How to hide and resume a native activity in flex app

what i want to do is like this:
（1）start an activity by the native extension when lauching the application and then display a list for users to choose
（2）make a choice and send it back to the flex
（3）flex does something and then jump to the native list above for users to choose
the problem is:
how to hide the native activity in step(1) and how to resume it in step(3)?
as the download of the native list wastes much time, i dont want to destroy the native activity and recreate it.

How to hide request with no results in Dashboard?

Hi Experts,
I have a dashboard with 3 requests in one section. The 3 requests are very similar to each other but need to be separated due to the way the metrics are calculated and the location of the datasource.
DepartmentName Sales Month
GroupName Sales Month
TeamName Sales Month
There is no hierarchy and all three don't relate to each other.
The issue I am having is that if the first request (lets call it Department Request) doesn't have any data for that particular month, it still displays the column heading.
How can hide the request or the column headings if there is no data for that request?

This won't work for my requirements because the user doesn't want to select the reports. They want to input the para maters and look at the requests that have the data. If a request doesn't return data, then they want it blank.
This dashboard will grown in terms of requests so the user doesn't want to select each report that they might need. Also, users will not know which request might or might not have data.

How to hide dynamic parameters values in the URL with Reports 6i

I want to know a way of hiding the parameters values when asking for a report through the web.
Now I'm using the Reports 3.0.5.8 with a Cartridge defined in the Oracle Web Application Server 3.0.1.0.1. When you ask for a report with the parameters DESTYPE = cache and DESFORMAT = pdf, it is fully generated and in the Address or Location box of the browser, you can see http://webserver/cache/report.pdf (where cache is the virtual directory defined in the OWAS in which the .pdfs are cached). So, users cant see the Url used to generate the report.
Im trying to upgrade this configuration to Reports 6i with Cgi in a web server. I generate reports with no problems. The problem I have is I cant find how to hide the parameters values as before. I mean, when I ask for a report, once its generated I can see http://webserver/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?server=ServerName&report=report.rdf&userid=user/pass@connection&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&P1=value1&P2=value2 in the Location box. It allows user to ask for another report changing the values of the parameters. I use these parameters to execute some query written in the Data Model. For example, imagine that the P1 represents the company id, the user (that is supposed to see only data of its company) can change this id, ask for a new report and see data of another company.
Ive already tried to use the key mapping option, but its not useful to me because the parameters values are dynamic and its impossible to define different entries in the cgicmd.dat for each possible value. The option of loading the parameter form before running a report is not useful to me either, because there exists specific screens for this purpose.
Is there any solution?

The last option I have is 'Hide' for 'Calculate single values as' .
I have the below options for 'Calculate single values as'
1. Normalise according to Next group level Resul.
2. Normalize according to Overall Result
3. Rank number
4.Olympic Rank Number
5.Maximum
6. Minimum
7.Counter for all detailed values
8.Counter for all detailed values that are non zero
9.Moving average
10.Moving average That is Not zero ,null or Error
11. Hide.
So could you please tell me where i can find 'suppress result' option for the keyfigure .
