Hi,
I have a table maintanence genarator of 5 fileds in which there are 2 primary fields. My requirement is to <b>HIDE/INVISIBLE</b> the first column (which is one of the primary key- SPRAS).
How can i do this without coding???
Thanks in advance.

ya , i was in change mode...still it is inactive...
Even i tried the same by code but it seems inactive but not getting invisible in the screen.....

  • How to Hide/show the columns data while doing Drill down or drill up

    Hi ,
How to Hide/show the columns data while doing Drill down or drill up in webi report .
Does it possible BO 3.1 version ?
    Please suggest me on this.
    Thanks & Regards

While that is not there yet, you can make use of the show when empty yes/no in combination with alerters.
So I have an alerter applied to every cell of the table.
When a condition is true (say I drilled down) I just put = "" in every cell, emptying the table,
because its now empty and doesn't need to show, it wont.
For the detail table I use the opposite, so when you drilled down it becomes visible...
Hope this helps all that do not have 40 yet
    Good luck,
    Marianne

    Hi,
Table maintanance Generator is used to manually
input values using transaction sm30.The Table Maintenance Generator is used to create table maintenance program to add, modify or delete records in the database table. This can be accessed using transaction SE54 or in SE11 using the menu Utilities->Table Maintenance Generator
    <b>
    Follow below steps</b>
go to se11 check table maintanance check box under
    attributes tab
    utilities-table maintanance Generator->
create function group and assign it under
    function group input box.
also assign authorization group default &NC& .
select standard recording routine radio in table
table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning
    it to request.
select maintaience type as single step.
maintainence screen as system generated numbers
this dialog box appears when you click on create
    button
    save and activate table

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator
Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.
Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

  • Table maintanence generator Events and BADI

    hi,
We are in middle of creating technical design.  The scenario is given below.
A BADI is implemented and the we are writing code for saving data in a table and we are writing events in table maintanence generator for this table to validate the data before saving.
So if error occurs, we can't populate it as error message as this is done in between of BADI.  So how to capture these error messages and give to BADI.
I am thinking to use EXPORT and IMPORT to memory.  Will this work?  Or is there any other method for this?  I am not able to check in SAP as the client doesnt want to create anything before signing off the TD.

I answered the exact same question a few minutes back in another thread. Hope this works.
    read table new entry
For the others who have answered this question:
I tried referencing the table directly and whenever i enter multiple entries the validations where failing. I could not do a loop at table. My validations were supposed to be triggered only at the time of saving the entries and not at the time of entry. Anybody has a workaround besides what i have described in the post??

  • Table maintanence generator with events

    Hi ,
I am having a custom table for which 2 new fields were added .
Now the data for the two fields shold be populated depending on conditions using table maintanence generator .
the two fields are : date and time.
for every existing and new record the date and time shold be populated once the action is taken plae using SM30.
can you please provide the sufficient info to achive the same .
which events to be used and how the code should be ...
    thanks

  • Reg : Table Maintanence Generator

    hi friends,
After creating a  Z-Table,,we can create entries and diaplay the entries.
But then Why do we go for Table Maintanence Generator.

    Hi,
With the help of the table maintenance generator, you are able to maintain the ENTRIES of the table in SM30 transaction.
It can be set in transaction SE11 - Tools - Table maintenance generator.
Table maintanance Generator is used to manually input values using transaction sm30
    follow below steps
    1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under attributes tab
    2) utilities-table maintanance Generator-> create function group and assign it under
function group input box. Also assign authorization group default &NC& .
    3) select standard recording routine radio in table table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning it to request.
    4) select maintaience type as single step.
    5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers this dialog box appears when you click on create button
    6) save and activate table
One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator
Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.
Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.
SM30 is used for table maintenance(addition or deletion of records),
For all the tables in SE11 for which Table maintenance is selected , they can be maintained in SM30
Sm30 is used to maintain the table ,i.e to delete ,insert or modify the field values and all..
It creates the maintenance screen for u for the aprticular table as the maintenance is not allowed for the table..
In the SE11 delivery and maintenance tab, keep the maintenance allowed..
Then come to the SM30 and then enter the table name and press maintain..,
Give the authorization group if necessary and give the function group and then select maintenance type as one step and give the screen numbers as system specified..
    Then create,,,
Then u will able to see the maintenance view for the table in which u can able to insert and delete the table values...
We use SM30 transaction for entering values into any DB table.
First we create a table in SE11 and create the table maintenance generator for that Table using (utilities-> table maintenance generator) and create it.
Then it will create a View.
After that from SM30, enter the table name and Maintain, create new entries, change the existing entries for that table.

  • How to Hide a entire column in a Table Control?

Can we hide an entire column in a Table control? Plz give some hints in doing the same...

Here is a sample, if you wish to do it programattically.   If you used the table control wizard, then you should have a module which is listed in the flow logic PBO of the screen.  Its probably commented out.
    itabcon_change_col_attr
Uncomment it and create the module.  Then put the code that I have in the module below into your module.
    report zrich_0003 .
*&spwizard: declaration of tablecontrol 'ITABCON' itself
controls: itabcon type tableview using screen 0100.
data: begin of itab occurs 0,
          fld1 type c,
          fld2 type c,
          end of itab.
    start-of-selection.
      call screen 100.
    *&      Module  STATUS_0100  OUTPUT
    *       text
    module status_0100 output.
    *  SET PF-STATUS 'xxxxxxxx'.
    *  SET TITLEBAR 'xxx'.
    endmodule.
    *&      Module  ITABCON_change_col_attr  OUTPUT
    *       text
    module itabcon_change_col_attr output.

      loop at itabcon-cols into wa.
        if wa-screen-name = 'ITAB-FLD2'.
          wa-invisible = '1'.
          modify itabcon-cols from wa.
        endif.

  • How to hide/suppress empty columns in pivot tables

In a pivot table, is there any way to do something like "suppress missing data" to make an entire column hidden only if it is empty? I have a situation where I can't hide an entire measure because the measure has values for another dimension, but I would like to hide the column that is empty. See the example below. I would like to hide the combination of Dim1 and Measure 2, and the combination of Dim 2 and Measure 3. I can't hide all columns with Dim1 and/or Dim2, or Measure2 and/or Measure3. Is there any way to hide just the column with the empty combination? Thanks.
    Dim1 Measure1 Always populated
    Dim2 Measure1 Always populated
    Dim1 Measure2 Always null
    Dim2 Measure2 Always populated
    Dim1 Measure3 Always populated
    Dim2 Measure3 Always null

    Bhawna -
That made a difference, but it still needs some work. The IfNull() function picked up every value in the columns that I wanted to hide and changed them to zero. The conditional formatting that you suggested hid the content in those columns from the HTML. However, there ended up being several issues:
    1) IfNull() picked up other null values that happened to be in the resultset, so the conditional formatting was applied to more than intended. I could correct that by changing the data value in the physical database columns for the entire pivot table columns that I want hidden, but then I have to work around having bogus values in those intersections. Still, that is a possible workaround.
    2) The column headers for the columns that I want to disappear did not go away. When I applied CSS display:none, it shifts the pivot table cells to the left, so a lot of the data ends up under the wrong column headings.
    3) CSS display:none only hides the content from screen readers. When I view the pivot table on the dashboard and print it to a PDF, the data in the columns that I want to disappear are back.
That still seems like it's a long ways from "suppress missing data" for the entire column. Thanks for your suggestion.

  • HOW TO HIDE FIELDS IN A CUSTOM TABLE

    Hi all,
I've a requirement where there's a maintainence view attached to  a custom created table. Whenever I add new entries via View, on saving the record, 2 of its fields only should appear.
For example, if my table looks like this,
SAP ID     OBJECT ID     FROM DATE     TO DATE
Once i add a new record, when i press save, only 2 of fields say, SAP id and Object Id should appear instead of all the fields.
Can someone throw light on this if you're aware? Any input in this regard will be highly valuable to me and appreciated. If someone is unable to intrepret this question, do let me know, I'll detail it again.
    Thanks in Advance,

    hi Vaishu,
Hide parameter / select option in selection screen
We can Hide parameter / select option in selection screen dynamically by manipulating screen object.
SCREEN is like an internal table with a header line. However, you do not have to declare it in your program. Go to debugging mode and then view structure of screen.
You can modify SCREEN in your ABAP program during the PBO event of a screen. Its contents override the static attributes of the screen fields for a single screen call. The only statements that you can use with SCREEN are:
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
    MODIFY SCREEN.
    ENDLOOP.
We can hide parameter by set screen-active to 0.
Here is example of how to hide parameter in selection screen. Write it, and change click on radiobutton to hide parameter.
    REPORT ZAALGAL0006.
    DATA: d_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm.
    PARAMETERS: p_grpa1(10) MODIF ID A,
    p_grpa2(5) MODIF ID A,
    p_grpb1(2) MODIF ID B.
    PARAMETERS: p_actA RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1 USER-COMMAND ACT DEFAULT 'X',
    p_actB RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN.
    d_ucomm = sy-ucomm.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
    LOOP AT screen.
    IF p_actA = 'X'.
    IF screen-group1 = 'B'.
    screen-active = 0.
    ENDIF.
    ELSEIF p_actB = 'X'.
    IF screen-group1 = 'A'.
    screen-active = 0.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
    MODIFY screen.
    ENDLOOP.
    START-OF-SELECTION.......

  • How to see column in table maintenance  generator?

    Hi All,
Can we write code in table maintenance generator ? where can we write code?
suppose I have created table maintenance generator but column is not visible what might be reason? How to deal with this?
Can any 1 help me in this regard?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    column is not visible
This may be because of additioni of a new field in the table after you have generated the TMG.
Delete and re-create the object in TMG again.
writing code in table maintenance generator
    Yes, you can write.
    SE54 --> Environmnt --> Events --> New Entry
    Select the event ..eg.
01 for Before saving the data in the database
02 for After saving the data in the database
Press enter. Click on the editor button and start writing your codes in the routine.
