How to hide iplanet Version information

Hello,
I want to hide, iPlanet Server Information i.e Version/Build/Hotfix information from the Header Message.
Also i want to hide information when i do
telnet localhost 25, It gives me iPlanet version/Build/ Hotfix
I dont want this information to be get display,
Can any one update me on this .... is it possiable.

essentially, to "hide your server" to limit vulnerablity by people knowing what type server you have.
1. edit magnus.conf and add a line:
ServerString MYWEBSERVER
2. edit obj.conf and add this at the top:
(right under)<Object name="default">
<Client method="TRACE">
AuthTrans fn="set-variable" remove-headers="transfer-encoding" set-headers="content-length: -1" error="501"
</Client>(make sure the AuthTrans is one line!)
3. remove or rename favicon.ico
4. remove default html docs or redo doc root so iplanet generic web page not available.
BUT, all this does is limit people from knowing what type server you have, it does NOTHING to actually secure your server. Updated patches are your best security. (although if you have a security audit, these will be the first recommendations, lol)

How to fix "no version information available" error

I installed zsce-core from package:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38766
and then, I want to install zsce-phpmyadmin from this packge:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38769
But I get belew error message:

file: could not find any magic files!
That suggests something is wrong with the file package from [core]
/usr/bin/curl: /opt/zend/lib/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by /usr/bin/curl)
same for the curl package .
Chances are the zsce-core pacakge (which is outdated since jan 2012) messed things up, i recommend removing it and reinstall file and curl from repos .
After that, try to build another aur package that's not outdated to see if makepkg works normally .

HOW TO HIDE MDI WINDOW INFORMS 9I WHEN THEY RUN IN WEB BROWSER

Hi. Will any body tell me how to hide the default MDI window title in Forms 9i when it run in Web Browser. I am using the "Look and feel" property as "Generic" in Formsweb.cfg file. I tried the RESIZE,POSITION,MINIMIZE,VISIBLE FALSE properties of SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY FUNCTION, But the horizontal Bar at the top displaying "Window" on it, is displayed. OR some time form is not displayed at all. So plz help me. This kindness of any one will be appriciated.

Hi Inayat,
To remove the ORACLE icon, change the line "logo=" to "logo=x" in file formsweb.cfg.
I am not sure if it is possible to remove the standard-menu (horizontal bar with word Window, as you describe it), because as far as I know it is inheritance for the Windows OS. In other words, removing the standard menu can only be achieved if you run on another OS.

How to hide private contact information

I keep data in my Address Book contact records that is private, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc. Of course, these records are sync'ed to my iPhone so I have them when I'm on the go, however it creates a security risk because if my phone is lost or stolen, anyone can get the private information.
I was wondering if there is a way to not have that private information sync to the iPhone or if that information can somehow be password protected.

You can set a passcode lock on the iPhone itself (Settings > General > Passcode Lock), but not for specific information on the phone.
You might also consider one of the searching the app store for one of the many apps designed to store encrypted information such as passwords, credit card numbers, etc.

How to tell the version of the ORacle 9iAS?

How to find the version information about the Oracle 9iAS (Not OC4J) from Enterprise Manager? In windows, we can always use help-->about to get the version number, how do I know the version of the application server is 9.0.2 or 9.0.3?

AS rel 2 is 9.0.2, never 9.0.3. But AS suite has many many product components that has different version number strings depending on your installations and your set of installed Patch Sets (e.g. you could have Infrastructure 9.0.2.3.0 and Core RSFs 9.0.1.4.0a)
OC4J has been released as 9.0.3, next full AS is 9.0.4 (according to Metalink but who knows, maybe it'll be 10.0.1, 10.1.4 or whatever sounds marketingishly good)

Hi Andrew,
You can check the version(including service pack) of iWS either from GUI OR from error log(/server-root/instance-name/logs/) file.
The below is an a sample script which helps to find out what and all version of iWS has been installed in you HDD(Hard Disk).

In Contacts version 8, how can I print ALL information in each individual card? When I select the print command the only thing printed is the name and address. I need phone number(s) and all other information in the cards. We enter various pieces of data, other than the standard name address & phone numbers and we print all information on each card so it fits in a 5x7 inch loose binder. We have used InTouch software for many years and it has served us extremely welll, however, the publisher (The Prairie Group) has not, and apparently has no plans to update their software to be compatible with any Mac OSX OS beyond 10.6. Any help will be appreciated!

You can select what you want included in a list format. In the Print command from Contacts, click the Show Details button. Then in the Style pulldown menu select "Lists" and there you'll be able to select what you want included. You can also select what you wish included if you select the Pocket Address Book style.
If neither of those options will work for you, then you will need to look to third-party software. Here's one possibility that seems to get good reviews:

I haven't done more than try it to make sure that it works with OS X 10.9's Contacts, which it does, but you can download their demo and try it yourself.

Found the answers:
1. The service Impl should implement the javax.xml.rpc.server.ServiceLifecycle interface.
In this way you get access to a javax.xml.rpc.server.ServletEndpointContext, which gives access to amongst others javax.xml.rpc.handler.MessageContext, which gives access to request information
2. In the Handler it is possible to store information on the MessageContext, which can be accessed in the service Impl (see 1.).

Within Aperture you have Images, which are constructed on-the-fly from two files (the Master and the Version). You get an image-format file _only_ when you export an Image. You select the file name (usually a scheme) when you create an image-format file (that is, when you export). Look under "Aperture→Presets→File Naming" for built-in Presets. You can, of course, create your own or customize any provided.
The Preset is applied to only the file newly created by your "export" command. It is not applied to the Image in Aperture (unless you rename your Versions or your Masters).

How to find the compoment version information given a PPMS number?

Problem:
I want to find the component version information with a PPMS number; and would like to know how to.
(I don't know which forum is exactly proper to post this thread, and then put it in NetWeaver Platform category.)
Details:
In ERP system, transaction BOPP (PPMS work center), you can find product/component (version) information, including their PPMS number.
While I didn't find the way to retrieve the component version and other information, given a PPMS number.
Is this possible in BOPP? Or there is other ways to do this?

Hi Hanisha,
If I understood your question correctly that you are looking for hiding the Row or Coloum means either charactertic or key figure in the report layout.
To hide the any kind of key figures (usually columns) you will have to Right Click KF - Display option always hide.
if you wanted to hide Characteristic (Rows), there will be no option to hide, but you can remove the drill down of the characteristic so that it will not be appeared.
