How to hide object name in tray of pages

Hi everybody,
I want to hide the object name in the tray of a page.
I act as follows: open Page in VC --> Configure Page --> Look & Feel --> unselct "Show Object name in Tray"
I thought that is the right way, but every time I want to deploy, the option is true again.
Could anybody help me?

Hi Robert,
Unfortunately, evrytime you open the model, it shows default values for the fieds. The only field for which it shows the correct value in the dashboard is 'Show Help Option'. However, at runtime, it does reflect the changes you make. You can check that in PCD.
e.g. If you uncheck the checkbox for 'Show object name' and deploy the first time. The page should reflect the change on the Portal in PCD, however in the model shows the default value i.e. the checked checkbox. If you deploy it again, it won't change the value on the portal. It will still retain the value(unchecked,) on the portal. In order to change the value back to what it was (checked) originally, you have to uncehck the checkbox and check it again and then deploy. The values will change on the portal.
I don't know the reason behind this behaviour though.

In SNRO search by giving long text...
for eg., Service .. for service entry sheet. keep the first letter in capital letter only.

SQL tracing and TKPROF tool, how to get object name

Hi,
I set sql_trace = ture for my session.
Then I use TKPROF (on trace file) to get the explain plan (for my stored procedure). but the explain plan shows obj# (object number), HOW do I get TKPROF to show object name on explain plan (I have checked the SYBEX book, it has no info on that)?
Also can you get explain plan from SQL (without sql_trace) for stored procs, if so HOW?

How to hide full name when publishing photos to icloud's public website?

When allowing iPhoto to publish photos to iCloud (Public Website, allow anyone to view this photo stream at:..." my full Name (xxx by xxx) is always displayed when opening the link.
Does anyone know how to hide or change the name displayed?

I tried changing my name (Apple ID). It had no effect on the Aperture photo stream website page (and yes, I tried it with a new photo stream).
I still think your name should not be included by default with public website, as well as ability to prevent pictures from Copy/Save.

As per you we assume that this object is master data object for text : 0PROJECT_TEXT
If you define as a Data target you need to load the data from PSA(Data source to Data target) , Here transfermations will come into the picture ( in BI 7.0)
if you are going to load the data in 3.5 flow , transfer rules will come into the picture.
If It is Update rules/ Transfermations try to make it active manually ..
1. Go to RSA1 >>> And find the Data Target >>> Double click on Update Rules
2. Click on Change button, then activate the Update rules.
If it is transfer rules , try make it active by using this program
in SE38 ; RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL >> Give the source system name >>>>> Info source name to activate the transfer rules as well as transfer structure.

How to hide full name in the "to" box of email...

Hi all,
I have several "private" people on my mailing lists who do NOT want their full name showing up in the "to field" when I send them email. I have tried everything short of simply deleting their last names from my address book and nothing has worked. Is there a way to specify that Mail MUST use their nickname instead of their full name when I send them email? Anybody know?

A different solution would be to BCC them; their names and addresses won't be available to anyone but you. You can even BCC to the entire mailing list - in some cases you'll have to provide a single To address, such as your own, to get the mail to send. It effectively hides the names and addresses of the people in your mailing list.
(Well, this works prior to Tiger and I doubt they've taken the ability away. Good luck.)

How to print object name

Could anyone please guide me. I am passing an object to another class and then I want to print this object name in that class. when I try to print it either by giving the object in print method or after converting it with tostring and print, it always prints the object memory location but it doesn't print its name.

That memory location you're seeing is the output of the toString method defined in Object. If you want something better, override that method. Overriding toString is often (even usually, maybe always) a good thing to do.
You have to define what "name" means though. You can't print the name of the variable that points to an object, because many variables can and that kind of information is often compiled away anyway. Furthermore, information about an object should be encapsulated within the object, generally.
So the most typical and probably best approach is to create a "name" attribute in the object.

But i have a create button and cancel button.
After filling the details in the required columns, when i click the create button, if any validation errors are there.. the page is re-rendered. while doing that the hidden items are getting displayed back.
Tried Solutions:
1. I created a same function once more and in the last added the doSubmit('CREATE') and called the script from the create button.
At that time the hidden fields labels are getting displayed.
2. I created a process On load before header To call this script on a condition :REQUEST = 'CREATE'
Then also fruitless..
I hope now it is clear....

How to hide organizer frame on order creation page

Hi,
Is there anyway I can hide organizer frame on order creation page only in ISA b2b.
Even if I can hide it on the start of the application that will work.
I tried hiding this frame by making changes in closer_organizer.jsp but this organizer frame is getting called twice and that's why the changes are not effective.
Can anyone please help me with this.

Save your file and referesh browser. Now You will not see frame "closer_organizer".

How to hide albums names in Grid View

Some albums names are too long, like "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". In small screens, like MacBook, is a mess to use Grid View because all long names comes with a cut and "…".
Can I just hide the albums names and artists names? Would be great if I could have just the covers without the characters soap.

it appears to me that this is exactly what I wanted!
And also, it seems kind of basic and stupid of me that I have missed it. It seems kind of foolish of me, not fully exploring the "view" menu.
Of course I explored it a bit, but I did not think that the column browser would contain what I needed / wanted.
I kind of wrongly assumed that all views were on the GUI, but now that I think about it, that makes no sense. The GUI never shows everything in any app.....

Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap on your email account. You can change the Name in the settings for that particular account. Where it is in settings is going to depend on what kind of email account you have. For example, for iCloud, I tap on my account name under Advanced.

What are those values in the rdCounts supposed to be doing for you? 5516/1000 = 5.516.... so...
var theAmount:int = rdCounts[timeline_slider.value];
doesn't make much sense, especially since most of the array values will result in the same int value of 5.
One thing you have said, at leasnce... "i have a ratio buttion called original_rb everytime it is selected all the movieclips that is spawning from the code up there i want to be invisible, becuase i have a nother graph set to become visible when original_rb is selected.
But the function you showed is not being called for clicking the original_rb, it is being called for clicking le_rb. So maybe that's what you are missing... targeting the wrong rb for clicking.
I am not intending this as an insult, but I think you might have homed in on the main problem when you said...

If you don't know if it makes sense and you don't understand it then you probably need to spend more time trying to. If someone else did what you are showing for you, they might need some more experience as well.
Radio buttons are usually used as a group, where one of the group is selected. You seem to be using radio buttons where checkboxes or buttons would be more appropriate.
The code that has answered you questions so far would work if your design supports it. So chances are you design isn't what your code is aimed at... though I would expect error messages in that case.
There have been quite a few questions asked that have not been answered yet. Probably the most meaningful of them is whether or not you are getting error messages. If you are, including the entire error message(s) in your posting is key to getting help.

How to Hide/Remove Name from Photo Stream Public Website?

I'm using Aperture 3 to share a photo stream on public website and just noticed that my full name is shown at top right corner. Is there a way to hide this for privacy concerns and still share pictures with non-iCloud members?

I tried changing my name (Apple ID). It had no effect on the Aperture photo stream website page (and yes, I tried it with a new photo stream).
I still think your name should not be included by default with public website, as well as ability to prevent pictures from Copy/Save.

How to hide objects in subsequent floating forms

Hello,
I have a subform which has an 'Add' button. When user clicks on the add button, a new subform is added. I, however, don't want to show this 'Add' button in the subsequent forms. I want to show it in the 1st form only. Also, the user can only add max 3 forms. Thus, as the form number reaches 3, I want to disable/hide the 'Add' button.
Is there a way to do that? Could someone show me how?

Hi,
For the first part, the easiest way would be to take the button out of the repeating subform. Maybe place it just above the subform. Then it will not appear in other instances. You could include script in the initialize event, but this would not be the preferred route. Se how you get on with the button out of the subform and if you end up needing the script come back to us.
To disable the button, you will need script in the layout:ready event of the button. This is not the most efficient, because the layout:ready event fires so often (see here http://assure.ly/nB0Bvz). If your form is not too lengthy then you mightn't notice too much of a performance hit.
So, if your repeating subform is called myRepeatingSubform, the following in the layout:ready event of the button should get you close:
