How to hide overlap of lower tracks with larger dimensions

The clips that I am placing on higher tracks are smaller. Therefore some of the image from the lower tracks show through. I know that I could go through the trouble of adding another track that is all black. But isn't there an easier way using the video effects?

Sorry, I guess I should have been more specific.
I want to keep the size and aspect ratio of the lower clips as is. I am always piling on clips to the upper tracks and would find it unbearably tedious to always trim the lower tracks. I am looking to just add a black border/bars to upper clips. In the old Premiere 6.0 it seemed like this was done automatically for us (Although, now that I think about it, maybe it was just resizing to fill the frame, but thats not what I want).
Is there a setting to fill the frame with a black border? or some keying or alpha effect method?

It sounds like you are unable to play a couple of songs from your library becuase you get a message that the computer is unauthorized to play, but other content purchased that same day works without issue. I would verify that the affected songs were purchased with the same Apple ID first:

Open iTunes
Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
Choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
If so, then delete the songs:

How to not overlap two audio tracks?

Hi, I use Adobe Premiere and I recently I had a problem with Action! (a video recording program) if you register the microphone and the stereo, Premiere overlaps the two audio and is not making me hear my microphone. I also tried to click the check mark on recording program (split audio tracks) but Premiere not divides. How can I create two audio tracks divided on the same record?

Are you saying that if you walk up to your Mac, iTunes suddenly opens?
At any rate, you should be using two different accounts on the Mac, each of you logging into your respective accounts, if you don't want common syncing.

sorry if the topic is a bit vague, I'll try to explain as good as I can. And I've just had a cup of tea, so let's go.....
I'm working on a project in FCP. On my timeline, there are about 20 clips, with 2 seconds of black cut in between.
What I want to do in DVDSP is have a menu and several submenues. No problem here.
On the main menue, there is a play-all button, and that should start the track as a whole, and play from the very first to the very last clip, including the 2 second black bits, obviously.
The submenues have buttons that target the individual clips on the tracks. I want the clips to play, and then jump back to the submenue that button is on.
How do I go about it?
I add chapter markers to the clips, right? And I can link the buttons on the submenues to those chapter markers. But how would I make the whole track play, i.e. how would I integrate the play-all button?
Or would it be better to turn those clips into stories (haven't done that before, is it difficult?), and then the play-all button could target the track?
I hope I've been clear, please let me know if I wasn't. Any advice or help is greeeeeaaaaatly appreciated. Did I mention the deadline? No? Oh well.....

Put them all on one track, set chapter markers for each one.
So lets say three clips
Play All would target story that has 1,2,3 markers
To select play range between 1 and 2, make a story with just Chapter 1

I want to export dry audio tracks and their effects signals as separate tracks. For instance a track with a reverbed snare would be one track with the dry snare and one with just the reverb.
I know from people who use Reason that it's just a box you need to tick, but I'm struggling to find out how to do it in Logic. Surely it must be a way?

I don't remember Reason being that straight forward, but the obvious way to go, is to mute all sends and bounce.
Then solo the reverb channel, in aux, checking it isn't shared by other sources, and bounce. You should have a dry and a reverbed signal, at your convenience.

How do you configure the Retina MBP with larger SSD? FW800-to-TB?

The Apple site shows a line that says you can configure it up to 768 I think. But then there is no option on the config page. 256 is not going to cut it even just for programs.
Having to wait for FW800-to-TB adapters is also asinine. Many of us have our whole lives on FW drives. The adapter should launch with the box.
There is also no option for a true anti-glare screen which was a major draw for me; anyone know if the Retina MBP screen is anti-glare? Glossy is not for me or my work.

First, you need everything transferred from the SSD to the HDD including OS X. Boot from the SSD. Open Users & Groups preferences. Cllick on the lock icon and authenticate. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on your user account in the list. Select Advanced Options. Click on the Choose button to the right of the field labeled, Home dir:. Locate your user folder on the HDD (/HDD/Users/your_user_folder/. Click on the Open button. You must restart your computer.
After restart you will be booting from the SSD but using the Home folder that is located on the HDD. You can now delete the contents of your user folder on the SSD. This should be limited to the contents of the Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures, and Sites folders. This should free up considerable space on the SSD.

I want to know a way of hiding the parameters values when asking for a report through the web.
Now I'm using the Reports 3.0.5.8 with a Cartridge defined in the Oracle Web Application Server 3.0.1.0.1. When you ask for a report with the parameters DESTYPE = cache and DESFORMAT = pdf, it is fully generated and in the Address or Location box of the browser, you can see http://webserver/cache/report.pdf (where cache is the virtual directory defined in the OWAS in which the .pdfs are cached). So, users cant see the Url used to generate the report.
Im trying to upgrade this configuration to Reports 6i with Cgi in a web server. I generate reports with no problems. The problem I have is I cant find how to hide the parameters values as before. I mean, when I ask for a report, once its generated I can see http://webserver/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?server=ServerName&report=report.rdf&userid=user/pass@connection&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&P1=value1&P2=value2 in the Location box. It allows user to ask for another report changing the values of the parameters. I use these parameters to execute some query written in the Data Model. For example, imagine that the P1 represents the company id, the user (that is supposed to see only data of its company) can change this id, ask for a new report and see data of another company.
Ive already tried to use the key mapping option, but its not useful to me because the parameters values are dynamic and its impossible to define different entries in the cgicmd.dat for each possible value. The option of loading the parameter form before running a report is not useful to me either, because there exists specific screens for this purpose.
Is there any solution?

I have the below options for 'Calculate single values as'
1. Normalise according to Next group level Resul.
2. Normalize according to Overall Result
3. Rank number
4.Olympic Rank Number
5.Maximum
6. Minimum
7.Counter for all detailed values
8.Counter for all detailed values that are non zero
9.Moving average
10.Moving average That is Not zero ,null or Error
11. Hide.
So could you please tell me where i can find 'suppress result' option for the keyfigure .

How do you setup a send to a track with multiple effects?

I am just learning how to mix and master songs as well as using Adobe Audition and was wonder if it was possible to allow a track to have multiple sends on them, Lets say one send containing Reverb on one bus, then another send applied to the same track containg delay thus allwoing me to controll idependently how hard the two seperate affects will contribute to the mix.

Audition allows you to have up to 16 sends on each track with a separate level control on each. And you can set up a bus track for each containing it's own effects rack. If you really want to you can use any one of the sixteen sends from a bus to another bus or to the master track.

It seems like LPX will not allow me to enter any controller data into a track without first defining a region. However, it seems that LPX also won't allow me to create a region with just controller data in it.

Let me qualify, I'm using Logic 9, not upgrading for various reasons.
Is this for an external Instrument? If so it's very easy to do using the inspector, but first you have to create an instrument in the environment. (at least in L9 and the way I do it, which is old school) Here's an example of an external instrument setup in the Environment.
A multi Instrument is created, channels 1, 2, 3, & 9 are active. Patch names are entered, format for bank change is selected. (just happens I selected channel 14 to open the patch names). This Instrument will now appear in the arrange page, and you can set patch change, bank change, volume & pan.

I created the mask successfully and I can get it to follow the face while hiding it... but as the person moves away, I'd like to change the mask to a smaller size to avoid covering more than the head.
