How to hide the "EXIT" button on the ESS Personal inf. iViews

Hello,
    We are using SAP ECC 6.0 + SAP EP 7.0 + ESS 1.0 (latest Releases).
    In the ESS iViews (Java WD) for Personal information (Adresse, Bank, Family, etc. there is the Button "Exit"..
  Does any have any Idea where and how to hide this "Exit" Button in the iView/Java-WD?
Many Thanks,
Nazih

Hi Chris,
  thanks for your reply.
  If you mean to hide the button using the iView/WD Personalisation by rightclick on the iView in PCD and then Review, well yes i know this and i have tried this already before and we were able to hide some not required input fields in the Webdynpro, but we were not able to find and to hide the "EXIT" Button using the personalisation..!!?? you know why?
Why to hide the Exit button, i will tell you why, in the iView for maintainig the ESS Personal Information -> e.g. Adresse --> Edit Adresse View (Roadmap view No. 2) --> when User click on the Exit Button --> This will open new browser Window with ESS... ---> This second Browser Window (Pop up) would confuse the User, since he already have an opened window, so the Customer mean why open new window, since the user can simply click the Button Back and so his data are also saved..
How can we manage to control the behaviour of the Button, so the iView is closed safety without that new Pop-up windows are opened...
Many Thanks,
Nazih

  • Does the "Exit" button on the captvate playbar works?

    Hello there..
    The Exit button on my captivate play bar is not working?
    Any reason?
    tnx.
    Kartik.

    Hi there
    Sorry, but I have to disagree. The real answer here is that it's not as simple as that. Sure, sercurity restrictions may be one possible cause but the causes are many. It's my own understanding that it often has to do with the way the window presenting the Captivate was opened to begin with.

  • Exit window when cklicking the exit button of the window

    Hello,
    my form exists of some canvases and windows. At the moment I have in every window a button to hide the active window. But I want to exit or hide the window by cklicking on the 'X' above in every canvas or window. How can I do that?

    But this closes the complete Form. I will try to explain my problem concretely. For example I have 3 Windows in my Form. If window 1 is in the background and window 2 is the active window and I click the 'X' the window 2 must be closed and window 1 should be the active window. But I the window 3 is in background and then window 1 is in background and I close window 2 then window 1 is the active window and only window 3 is in background.
    That means that If I click the 'x' in each window I want to hide this window only.

  • How to hide exit button on overview view of adress iview.

    Hello Gurus,
    Can anybody suggest me how to hide the exit button on overview page of address iview?
    Thanks,
    Sha

    Hi
    1) If you want the exit button to be hided u can use the following code in doModify as we know this doModify will be called each time the action is performed so when we use this code exit button will be hided all the time.
    Button btn_ui= (button) view.getElement("Button_ID");
    btn_ui.setVisible(WDVisibility.NONE);
    2) if you want to hide only on specific time then better to use the value attribute of type com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility  then bind this to exit button's property--> visibility and in your code wherever required set the visibility.
    Ex: value attribute name : va_Exit_Visible
          type : com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setVa_Exit_Visible(WDVisibility.NONE);

  • Course will not play in LMS until the Exit button is clicked

    I'm stumped.  I've created a course that plays fine until I enable reporting in our LMS.  This is the first course we've created in Captivate 5, and I'm using the same Quiz Reporting settings that we used in Captivate 4 (that always worked).  If the course is published to the LMS without quiz reporting enabled, the course plays fine.
    However, if the course is published to the LMS with Quiz Reporting enabled, then the course freezes on the first slide, and will not play until the Exit Button in the playback controls is clicked.  All of the other buttons cease to function until the exit button is clicked as well.
    Any ideas on what could be causing this?

    Just a quick update... I was able to resolve our issue.
    (in case anybody else runs into this issue, maybe this will help)
    We were using AICC to report back to our LMS (Saba) and it's always caused various kinds of problems with Captivate v4.  We were using some sort of work around to get the reporting to work properly.  I was trying to use the same work around we used in v4 with v5, which (I'm totally guessing here) was what was causing the problem.
    Instead of using AICC, I uploaded a SCORM package to our LMS, and everythings been working great since.

  • EXIT button on the top level form is not working.

    Hi I have 10g forms deployed on the web.
    On the top level form, there is a exit button on it.
    And for this form, under ALERTS I have two alerts viz. QUIT_ALERT and BANNER_ALERT.
    Now when I press the EXIT button on the form, nothing is happening. Neither prompting the ALERT nor closing the FORM.
    Where and What could be the problem??
    I have the following code for the exit button
    IF G$_DISPLAY_ALERT('QUIT_ALERT','Do you really wish to quit?') = ALERT_BUTTON1 THEN
    EXIT_FORM;
    END IFAnd the function G$_DISPLAY_ALERT has following code
    FUNCTION G$_DISPLAY_ALERT(ALERT_NAME IN VARCHAR2,
    MSG_STRING IN VARCHAR2) RETURN NUMBER IS
    ALERT_ID ALERT;
    AL_NAME VARCHAR2(30);
    ALERT_BUT NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    IF ALERT_NAME IS NULL THEN
    AL_NAME := 'G$_WARNING_ALERT';
    ELSE
    AL_NAME := ALERT_NAME;
    END IF;
    ALERT_ID := FIND_ALERT(AL_NAME);
    IF ID_NULL(ALERT_ID) THEN
    RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
    END IF;
    SET_ALERT_PROPERTY(ALERT_ID, ALERT_BUT, MSG_STRING);
    ALERT_BUT := SHOW_ALERT(ALERT_ID);
    RETURN ALERT_BUT;
    END;Edited by: Charan on Mar 30, 2011 2:01 PM

    seems like some trigger is firing, because i'm getting a CAUTION popup now saying Please Acknowledge.Actually, the PAUSE() built-in is what brings up the "Please Acknowledge" alert. Clearly, your trigger is firing so there must be something wrong with either your WBP trigger code or your G$_DISPLAY_ALERT program unit.
    Try the same technique on your program unit. I would also suggest you display a message in your Exception handler. My guess is that your function is failing but since you don't report the failure, it appears that your code runs successfully.
    FUNCTION G$_DISPLAY_ALERT(ALERT_NAME IN VARCHAR2,
                          MSG_STRING IN VARCHAR2) RETURN NUMBER IS
       ALERT_ID         ALERT;
       AL_NAME          VARCHAR2(30);
       ALERT_BUT        NUMBER;
    BEGIN
       Message('Alert_name: '||ALERT_NAME);
       PAUSE;
    IF ALERT_NAME IS NULL THEN
       AL_NAME := 'G$_WARNING_ALERT';
    ELSE
       AL_NAME := ALERT_NAME;
    END IF;
    ALERT_ID := FIND_ALERT(AL_NAME);
    IF ID_NULL(ALERT_ID) THEN
       Message('Unable to find Alert: '||ALERT_NAME);
       Message('Unable to find Alert: '||ALERT_NAME);
       RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
    END IF;
    SET_ALERT_PROPERTY(ALERT_ID, ALERT_BUT, MSG_STRING);
    ALERT_BUT := SHOW_ALERT(ALERT_ID);
    RETURN ALERT_BUT;
    END;Then you can see what the value of ALERT_NAME is and verify your code is executing as expected.

  • How to handle the 'folder button' in the path command throug Event loop ?

    Hi everybody.
    Again a stupid question but I can't find the answer.
    My VI has a dynamic event loop, to execute the right code depending on user action.
    Everything is working well but now I wish to do the following :
    I use a 'path command' with the path entry (like for text) and the folder button.
     the user click on the path entry     ->   something A happens.
     the user click on the folder button  ->   something B happens.
    As the folder button and the path entry are the same command, how to differenciate those two events in the event structure ?
    Maybe there is a value in the node, but I can't find it ...
    Thanks for helping !

    You can't do exactly what you are wanting to do. The problem is that you can't trigger an action based on clicking the browse button. To implement that you will need to hide the browse button that LV creates and put down a button of your own that you can then track and respond to independently.

    HI Vicky ,
                      if u want an interactive ALV report , there are lot of forums already having the solution for that , but let me give u the solution anyway.
    In the function module "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY" , import parameters
         I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET          = 'FLIGHT'
         I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND           = 'BUTTON_CLICK'
    has to be supplied to this function module . The PF status is where u hav created the two buttons , that PF status has to be given here .If the user clicks on the button then it is handled by the form routines . Inside the sub-routine based on the button the user has selected u could perform the action.
    FORM FLIGHT    USING RT_EXTAB TYPE SLIS_T_EXTAB.
      SET PF-STATUS 'FLIGHT' EXCLUDING RT_EXTAB.
    ENDFORM.
    Here the "Flight" is the PF_status .
    FORM BUTTON_CLICK USING UCOMM type SY-UCOMM
                           SELFIELD type SLIS_SELFIELD.
      CASE UCOMM.
        WHEN 'BUTTON!' .
    write ur code for button 1.
      WHEN "BUTTON"
      *Write ur code for button2 .
    end case.
    endform.
    for any queries reply back.

  • Lightroom problem with the exit button...

    In Lightroom, the window got redesigned in such a way that you can't move the cursor to the absolute top right corner and click to exit like you can in standard windows--you have to aim with the cursor on the exit button which is annoying.

    Just stumbled over the thread.
    Interesting how these discussions evolve.
    Someone points out an unexpected behavior. LR doesn't act conform with every other app on pc. Instead of accept this, people start argueing whether it is necessary to close apps in general, bla bla.
    Why not admit: Yes there is a flaw. There are workarounds, so it's not a deal breaker. We would like to have this addressed by adobe in the next version. It doesn't matter if there are users that never use the cross to close apps. It doesn't matter if there are other ways to close.
    Why change standards? This may be unintentionally here but there are other examples.
    The crop tool in LR.
    The Keyboard shortcuts. In every Adobe Application. I never understood, why there are no 2 adobe-apps that share the same shortcuts. Even standards like ctrl-ins/shift-ins does not work in for exyample in indesign. Drives me nuts. No, I don't want to use use ctrl-c/ctrl-v. I use my mouse with my left hand.
    Copy settings in LR. Ctrl-Shift-C. No other app uses this.
    Why change established standards??

  • I am walking through Apples tutorial getting started with iOS development. I am at the storyboard area and can't seem to drag the cancel button to the green exit. I am not sure why the exit button doesn't except it. Is anyone else having this issue?

    I am walking through Apples tutorial getting started with iOS development. I am at the storyboard area and can't seem to drag the cancel button to the green exit. I am not sure why the exit button doesn't except it. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a work around? I have done this app twice and still cant get the exit to except the Cancel or Done  bar buttons

    Yes I checked it.  As far as I can see I did everything Apple said to do.  I took some screen shot so you can see how the screens are connected and what and where the code is, and what it does when I drag the cancel and done bar buttons to the exit

  • How to handle the OK button of the parameters prompt of a crystal report

    Hi,
    how to handle the OK button of the parameters prompt of a crystal report in vba.NET?
    I want to use the parameter prompt from the crystal report itself and I want to know when the report is ready. I need to export programatically by sending email to a list of employees after the parameters has been set. The emails I send depends on the results of the report.
    Im using a CrystalReportViewer control  in VS2010 and Crystal Report for VS2010 v13.0.1.220.

    Right. But the parameter screen is driven by the viewer. Unless you create your own parameter screen and pass the parameters to the report via code.
    Another thing I am not sure about:
    "Then by code I want to read all the employees id from the report and send email to them with specified pages of the report. (1 page per employee)"
    How do you plan on reading the employee ID from the report? I am not aware of any API that will read a value in a report so that you can then decide what page to send to whom.
    I think you're approaching this kinda backwards. A question to ask is; can you do what you are trying to do in code in the CR designer? If not, using APIs will not work either. I suspect your approach should be a report that uses an employee filter. Run the report for employee x, get the report populated with the data for that employee and email it. Repeat for employee x1, employee x2, etc.

  • I don't see the new "firefox button" and i can't see the bookmark button (with the drop down option) unless I'm in the customize toolbar view. How can I fix these?

    I am using Firefox 4.0 on Windows XP home, Service pack 3. I am trying to use some of the new features of Firefox 4.0 that I see on the Firefox feature page (http://mzl.la/gCFDjj) and am not having much luck. First off in the Firefox Button. It is supposed to contain all your menu items but it is not appearing on my screen. Is this a feature that only works in Vista or Windows 7?
    Second, I am trying to use the Bookmarks Button (the one that has the drop down menu) but it doesn't appear in my toolbar unless I right click the tool bar and choose "customize". The button shows up in this view already in the toolbar, as if it is hidden in normal use and no matter where I move it to, once I hit the "done" button in the customize window the Bookmarks Button gets hidden/covered up again.
    Third, I see the new "App Tabs" feature but I can't seem to find an option for this in the preferences for Firefox, if it's even supported by my browser/OS at all.
    Can anyone tell me how to use/activate these features or if I am even able to using Windows XP?

    You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).<br />
    If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
    You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.
