How to hide watermark when viewing in acrobat 8 standard

Hi,
2 of my colleagues (also having same versions of acrobat) manage to open a pdf file without the watermark showing.
I have been googling around and found that there is an option to set.
To specify when the watermark appears, select or deselect Show When Printing and Show When Displaying On Screen.
But i couldn't find the option on my PC(windows xp). I would like to know how to hide the watermark when viewing in acrobat 8.?
Thanks,

Thank you, i understand now.
so in that case, why does my 2 colleagues can view the pdf file with the watermarks hidden. While for me, i can see the watermark when i view the same file?
appreciate your clarification.

  • Static vs Dynamic difference when viewing in Acrobat 9

With ES2 or ES4, saving output as a static pdf results in the following when previewing and when viewing in Acrobat 9.4.5:
When viewing in Reader X or XI, or when saving as a dynamic pdf and viewing in Acrobat 9.4.5, the output is as expected:
One obvious solution is to upgrade everyone to Acrobat X+, but that's not an option for the enterprise.  Is there scripting I could add or a registry fix or some other alternative to hiding these annotation sequence numbers (or whatever they're referred to) in the static pdf, as the EDMS delivering this pdf to the end-users cannot currently handle XFA-enabled PDFs and so it must be static?
My suspicion is this is more of an Acrobat 9.4.5 issue than an LC issue, but I have researched extensively and cannot find a resolution.

The "annotation sequence numbers" are probably referring to the "Tab Order".  You can access and modify the "Tab Order" from Designer; Go to the "Window" option and click on "Tab Order".  For ES4 it's between "Data View" and "Object Library".  Under "Tab Order", there's a button that should either be displayed as "Show Order" or "Hide Order".  Clicking on that button will toggle between the two choices.  I am assuming that if you click to make it "Hide Order" that your numbers will disappear.

  • Why do images within a PDF look jagged when viewed in Acrobat Pro 10.1.6?

Using a MacBook Pro running Mac OS version 10.7.5 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB graphics card. High-resolution source images look fine in other software, and embedded images in a PDF look fine when viewed on Google Drive, but curves and diagonal lines look jagged when viewed in Acrobat Pro 10.1.6. Checking smoothing options in Preferences only adjusts the position of the jagged edges; it neither enhances nor ameliorates them.
I created a sample PDF to illustrate the problem I'm having. Created in illustrator, exported to PNG and converted to PDF. Here is a screenshot of the source PNG side-by-side with the PDF I created from it:
Please note that when I preview the PDF in Finder, and when I view the PDF in Chrome using Google Drive, the image looks fine. Here's a link to the sample PDF:
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/77f5m6
    Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately, as I mentioned in my original post, I've already tried toggling smoothing options. They don't make the jagged edges go away—they just change them slightly. In some cases, as with the sample file provided, it does help smooth the art out, but it never looks as good as it did going in, in a recent project, toggling smoothing options didn't affect the appearance of the image at all. Zoom does not appear to relieve the artifacting.
A little clarification: this PDF was created from a flat PNG, but I have had this issue with PNGs and TIFFs as well, generated by both Photoshop and Illustrator. To reiterate, the PDFs display fine in other software—Finder preview looks great, and the same file viewed in my browser via Google Drive looks as intended as well. A colleague was able to replicate this issue in Acrobat on his Windows machine. This appears to be a rendering issue specific to Acrobat with regards to the files I use it to create.

  • What causes areas to be grayed out when viewing in Acrobat 9?

What causes text to be grayed out when viewing in Acrobat 9?
Douments which were fine in Acrobat 9 suddenly have areas blacked or grayed out.  The same thing happens if opened in Acrobet Reader.  Is there a setting that causes this.

It could be that the text is an image.
Try going to Edit>Preferences>Page display>Page content and information and check the box hat says "Display large images".

  • Texts in pdf form don't appear when viewing in Acrobat nor in Reader.

Texts in pdf form don't appear when viewing in Acrobat nor in Reader nor when printed after the form has been filled. But the texts appear when one clicks inside the field. What is the solution to be able to print and view all of the texts in all of the fields that have been typed.

More than likely caused by someone filling out the form with Mac Preview.

If you want the form "flattened", that is all form fields converted to PDF context, you need to use some JavaScript to flatten the form fields. This will remove all form functionality. It will not prevent editing by Acrobat's text touchup or object tools.
The "submit" button is used by other users to sent the PDF form data to a central collection site or email address where the sender or provider of the form can collect the submitted data.
You could also use a digital certificate to sign the form and lock the fields. The signature will also verify that no changes have been made to the PDF since it was signed and one could also see what was changed.

  • How to show classic package view in Acrobat 9?

In Acrobat 8, I had my package PDF with the left panel showing the PDF files, the middle panel showing the Pages panel, and the right panel showing the content of the page itself. With a three panel view, I could quickly navigate between PDFs, select a Page, and see the content. This is why I liked packages so much.
How do you create this classic package view in Acrobat 9?
    Thank you for the feedback.

I am pretty sure the tool is still there. Adobe seems to enjoy moving the tools around, so try some of the other menus. If there is no forms menu there, try the advanced editing as the old location. It seems to have moved with every version.

  • How do I print from PSE9 to Acrobat Standard X?

I have a new computer with Windows 7 and PSE 9 and Acrobat Standard X.
I have no problems editing and printing pictures out on my HP 7410.  However when I attempt to print a pdf it says its doing it (but I do not see the normal Adobe logo going round bottom right hand corner, nor do I get a pdf.
When I go into Acrobat and follow the option to create a pdf from a file I get my pdf but this is not v convenient - it is, for me, v much a temporary "work round" - can anyone help?
I did attempt to "search the forum" for similar queries but that didn't seem to be operational either!!
    Look forward to hearing something!

    Hi,
Maybe some more details would help in isolating the issue :
As you said "I have no problems editing and printing pictures out on my HP 7410" , Are you able to print any other files (other than pdf) edited in PSE correctly ?
Do you see any error message or something while printing pdf from PSE ? If yes, then what are the steps you are taking and when do you encounter the problem ?
    thanks,
    Ash

  • Error when upgrading from Acrobat Standard X to Pro X

We are installing retail Acrobat Pro X upgrades over OEM Acrobat Standard X (that came on Dell Optiplex 390 systems). We're getting an error message that says "Setup has detected you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate." That of course, makes no sense. How do we resolve this so we can install these upgrades? Thanks.

  • How to lock ''Navigation Pane'' in Adobe Acrobat Standard 9

Hello everyone, I want the Navigation Pane in Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 locked. I want the navigation pane lock in this position. Can it be possible ?

thank you for the suggestion, but I do not have a "Send Email" or "Submit" button available in my version. I have "Attach to email" option which automatically opens a new message in MS outlook (which I did not set up, it just started doing so automatically) without any further dialogue boxes or options.
Also, this is only for regular PDF files, not forms.

  • COMException when runnung BasicIACJsoVB (Acrobat Standard 8.1.2)

    Hello,
i am using VB 2008 and the Adobe SDK with an XFA-based PDF-Document. Acrobat Standard 8.0 is installed on my machine. additionally i executed three Patches to upgrade it to version 8.1.2. I tried some samples that worked fine, but the most interesting one, the "BasicIACJsoVB" sample crashed in the line : "rc = pdDoc.Open(SampleFilePath)". Can anyone help in this matter ?
    Thanks Frank

The following just worked for me with Acrobat Professional 8.1.2:
    OPTION EXPLICIT
    DIM oShell
    DIM HomePath, HomeDrive, Desktop
    DIM gApp, gPDDoc
    SET oShell = CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
    HomeDrive = oShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%HOMEDRIVE%")
    HomePath = oShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%HOMEPATH%")
    Desktop = HomeDrive & HomePath & "\\Desktop\\"
    SET gApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
    SET gPDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
    gPDDoc.Open Desktop & "Test.pdf"
    gPDDoc.OpenAVDoc "Test"
However that is VBScript. The Acrobat SDK was not designed for VS2008 or .NET 3.5. Does the same code work if compiled in VS2005?

  • How to disable the world view in Acrobat reader

    Hello all;
I have searched several times now for a way to permanently turn off the global view/page navigator or whatever it is call that appears in the upper right corner of Acrobat reader when I scroll a document.  Some might find it useful, I find it gets in the way and covers the text I am reading while supplying no value as a navigation aid.
I cannot find anything that even references the little view box and gives it a name, much less tells me how to turn it off.
    Help please.
    Thanks Much
    Nick

Really, I get it on all my PCs all the time.  Just scroll a document and it pops up without being asked, then you click it close but no sooner do you scroll again and it is back.
Thanks for looking, I also cannot find any mention of it anywhere, I do not even know its proper name.
Sad, an undocumented, unwanted, unknown “feature”.
    Thanks MUCH!

  • How to hide unnecessary HANA views?

    Hi Expert,
My HANA modeler has created more than 20 views (8 Attribute, 8 Analytical and 2 Calculation views) under “PKC” package but my requirement
    1.       For HANA super user; when they logs in to HANA modeling; To hide 8 attribute and 8 analytical views and just make 2 calculation views visible
    2.       For HANA modeler; seeing all views without any restrictions
I did create a role with package level “PKS” and object privileges restricted to “2 calculation views” (Without creating an analytical privilege) but when HANA super user logs in; seeing all 20 views of PKS package as if he/she is HANA modeler.
Please advise how to restrict HANA view level access. Appreciate your inputs.
    Thanks,
    ~Ketan

    Hi Ketan,
What are the package privileges you have granted? Only REPO.READ should be given .
    Object Privileges:
    1) SELECT ON _SYS_BI,_SYS_BIC
    2) EXECUTE ON REPOSITORY_REST
    Package Privileges:
    1) REPO.READ on the package
    Analytic Privileges:
    1) The Analytic Privilege only on that specific models
Can you confirm that you have assigned only the above access?

    Krishna Tangudu

  • How to leave full-screen view in Acrobat LE on HTC Touch Diamond?

    Hello
I have entered full-screen mode in Adobe Acrobat LE on my HTC Touch Diamond, but I cannot leave full-screen mode. There is nowhere on the screen that gives me a button to leave full-screen mode?!
I have tried using the buttons below the touch-screen but I have found nothing that works.
How do I leave full-screen mode??

    Hello again.
Well I have tried almost everything with the stylus: Zoom operations (rotations), tapping the screen, pressing and holding, double tapping... nothing allows me to exit fullscreen nor get any on-screen menus to appear!
I must admit that I am very new to the HTC Touch Diamond so maybe I am being stupid, but I really can't find any way of getting any menus or anything else to show up once I have entered full-screen viewing. My only option is to exit Acrobat by pressing the back button below the touch screen, and then I of course leave Acrobat completely.
Please tell me how exactly I must use the stylus to exit fullscreen?
    Thank you :-)
