How to i access downloads over 18 months old

I see i can only see downloads going back 18 months, how do i find others over 18 months ago.

Greetings lacebedo,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that VoiceOver is enabled on your iPad and you would like to turn it off. If you are unable to navigate the iPad menus with VoiceOver enabled, I would suggest using your computer with iTunes to disable the feature. This process is described in the Accessibility Shortcut section in the attached article.

  • How do I set Mail to only download one-month old emails?

    Hello there
I have been a Mac user since 2008 but I have never actually used the default Mail client. I always used third-party applications but since most applications on Yosemite perform really well, I decided to give Mail a shot. The only problem I am facing right now is finding a setting to have Mail only download one-month old emails rather than the whole inbox? I have three accounts (Two on GMAIL and one on Hotmail) and of course they contain thousands and thousands of emails and it will take a very, very long time to download all of them since my internet is pretty slow (2MB), so I was wondering if that option is available? It'd be fantastic. It's available on Android and iOS AFAIK so I assumed maybe it's an option on Mac too?
    Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    Tarek Elsakka

If you have gmail (Google Mail), one idea is to "label" all the mail you want to in the gmail web interface and then just download mail with a certain label. Take a look at the article at http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2013/12/download-copy-of-your-gmail-and-google.htm l
    Does that help?

  • How can I access my itunes account, old computer crashed?

My computer has crashed and have recently purchased a new one, all my movies, books, music was on the account on this computer, how can I access it again?
I have all my downloads, movies, books, music, so how can I acces that itunes account if my computer has crashed and now have a new computer?

The easiest way to get back missing items?  Restore your whole hard drive with all your irreplaceable things like photos in about 20 minutes from the backup clone you make on a regular basis.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
I am a bit confused by your use of the word "account".  You may have an "account" on the iTunes Store.  What you have on a computer is your user account, part of which is the iTunes folder which usually houses a collection of files that make up what you see when you open the iTunes application.  When you open iTunes it does not normally open an account to your files, it just opens the ones on your computer. If your old computer died and you can not longer use the hard drive (which is not necessarily true but we would have to know more about the situation in detail) then not only your media but your playlists, ratings, etc. are also gone (unless you have a backup).  As indicated above, iTunes Store will let you download some things again, if they are still there and you are running iTunes 10.3 or greater.  Things like movies are gone unless you have a backup copy elsewhere.  The iTunes store does not contain playlists, etc, nor your ratings since all you are doing is downloading brand new copies again.

  • Is there any way I can monitor how many Gb I download each month?

I'm considering changing broadband package and would like to know how much I download each month. All I can find are ways of estimating based on size of various files, streaming etc. as a multi person household it would be much more useful to know exactly how much I use.

You can only do this over all the PCs in the home if you have a special router that has this facility.
Otherwise you will need to install on every PC a network meter such as:
    NetMeter Evo 2.0.0
    or
    Broadband Usage Meter - tbbMeter

    Hi jcee100,
So sorry to hear about your computer crash. No fun! But the good news is there's nothing to download. You just need to log in to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com to access your subscription!

  • How can I access audio over Firewire from a DV camera in Flex/Air?

    Hi all,
I've scoured the 'net looking, but I cannot seem to find an answer to my question.
I'm writing an app that captures video and audio in Flex as an Air application.  I can use Camera.getCamera() to get the video from my Firewire-connected DV camera just fine, but the audio stream doesn't show up in Microphones at all.
I'm developing on Windows 7 - is there some issue with Windows not exposing the Firewire audio feed as a local sound device?  Is there a way around it?
Thanks in advance - I look forward to any help you may be able to offer.
    Dave

I should note that the camera (both video and audio) show up as devices just fine in other Adobe CS apps (including FLME).  Does anyone have any insight as to how FLME gains access to the DV hardware?

  • How do archive all messages over 5yrs old for easy access if needed

My Thunderbird folders are very large after 10 years and I have over 100 sub-folders. I need to keep all messages but would like to keep the oldest, say over 5 years old, separate as I rarely need to see them again. Archiving would make navigation easier. Where in Thunderbird's help pages does it explain how to do this , as well as how to access the archive ? Is it better to make a new profile called Archive and move the archived messages to that ?

Assuming you have all your emails pre-organised in folders called : Acme, Brown, Carter etc
When you created the Archive options, if you had selected yearly and retain folder structure, then it would be archived as follows:
    > Archives
    > > 2008
    > > > > Acme
    > > > > Brown
    > > > > Carter
    > > 2009
    > > > > Acme
    > > > > Brown
    > > > > Carter
If you selected monthly and retain folder structure:
    > Archives
    > > 2008
    > > > >2008-01
    > > > > > >Acme
    > > > > > >Brown
    > > > > > >Carter
This would mean that all the Acme, Brown, Carter folders would be in Archives, but the size of the folder will be smaller because it is divided by year, or even smaller if monthly is used. (If you only have a few emails per month then yearly would be ok). So, if you have not organised your emails into eg: Acme, Brown, Carter folders, then do this first, then when you Archive them they will still be located under Archives in a folder of that name, so easy to locate.
Folders containing emails that you see in the Folder Pane are in reality mbox files - not folders, and these files are stored in your profile folder.
Each file has emails stored one after the other, in the order they were downloaded, so emails are not stored in individual files. If you accessed your Profile folder and opened one of these mbox files using 'Notepad', you would see one huge long document. Each mbox file also has a .msf indexing file.
Large documents carry a greater risk, if something goes wrong, you could lose a lot of emails. The point of using the auto archiving is that this will sub divide those large files into smaller files and therefore carry less overall risk per file and use less memory when accessing.
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Performance_-_Thunderbird
'' Thunderbird loads a folder's *.msf file into memory whenever it opens the folder. By default it keeps up to 30 *.msf files open for 5 minutes (and their contents in memory), unless they are "special" folders, which it never closes. It loads the inbox.msf file for every account on startup. The best way to minimize the amount of memory used is to archive messages you have already read or otherwise no longer need in Inbox into folders that you rarely open. Moving a message to an archive folder opens it, so consider archiving messages by year and month rather than yearly so that the archive being used doesn't get excessively large. ''
If you choose to not use Archive options and instead manually created Acme, Brown, Carter folders in the Archives folder,it means you will have to manually move emails into those folders.
In which case, you will just be creating new large folders, which will get larger everytime you move an email. As they are Archive folders then they will end up with even more emails than you currently have, so I'm sure you can imagine what could happen over time. With Archived emails you need to consider the long term.
At the end of the day the choice is yours, but at least you now have some information to make an informed choice.

How can I get access to files on an old Dell Windows '95 machine that is not network accessable? Currently using Mac desktop and MacBook Pro running OSX 10.9.4. The Dell does not have ethernet or ISB

If you are both connected to the same local network use the sharing section in System Prefernces.
On your partners Mac set up file sharing on the folder that has the files you require acces to and confirm the permissions are suitable.
You will be able to navigate to that folder with Finder, use the connect to server in the Go drop down list. You may be able to use your partners machine name or the IP address.

The only problem is that it is many years since i worked with OS X 10.4 so there may be slight differences.

  • How do I access the next month shortcut key in Ical?, How do I access the next month shortcut key in Ical?

I'm using mac lion, and somehow have it configured so that when I press Command+next arrow, the system navigates to the next desktop. I'd like to be able to access Next month from within ical. Is there a way to change the default keys in ical, to change the default next month key stroke? Or is there a way to change the preference for desktop switching from within system preferences? Thanks.

Try changing System Preferences...>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts>Mission Control...settings to use the "Option" key for switching "Spaces" (desktops).

  • How to bring my iCal over form old Mac to my new Mac?

Just bought a new MacBook Pro and I want to bring my calendars over from my old Powerbook into my new MacBook. Any ideas?
    Charles

    ciazzi,
Do you have Tiger installed on the Powerbook?
If so, it should be very easy. I will assume that you are using Tiger on your current iMac. In that case, just use iCal>File>Back up Database..., and transfer the .icbu file which was created to your new Mac. Then open the iCal application on your new Mac and select the .icbu file by using iCal>File>Import...>Import...
    ;~)
