How to I add an account manually?

I would like to add an email account manually but I don't seem to be given the choice to do that. I would like to configure my exchange account as an IMAP account but if I let Apple Mail do it for me it will automatically set it up an an Exchange account.

I assume you mean another computer. Set up homesharing on the second computer using the same ID and password that you used for the first computer.

You can add an email account by connecting to your computer's iTunes, selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes and on the right-hand side use the Info tab to sync the account's settings from, for example, Outlook on your PC or Mail if using a Mac. Or you can add the account's details manually via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
If terms of a security lock do you mean for the iPad as a whole ? You can't password protect the Mail app, but for the iPad you can set one via Settings > General > Passcode Lock - but if you do set one remember it, as the only way to remove the lock if you forget it is to restore the iPad via your computer's iTunes

I want to add another account to my already existing account so that my dad can have his own music on the same computer with mine. can i do that? or should i just move all of my stuff to an another computer and just let him have the old one? i know this prolly sounds confusing but someone please tell me if i can do this!

Creating a separate Windows User account for each person on your PC will give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one.

If you mean remove your credit card details from your account, then on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your phone then try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

How can I add audio files manually to my iphone when iTunes match is turned on?

I use iTunes match, and after resolving the debacle after updating to iOS 6 listed here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19623582#19623582 it seems to be working fine. My problem is as follows:
I have a series of audio files (lecture recordings) that have been uploaded to iTunes match (and so appear on my phone), but of which I also still have the actual files on my computer harddrive. These specific files will neither stream nor download from iTunes match on my phone (and did not before the update to iOS6 either). They play fine, however, on iTunes on my computer. Before the update I was able to get around this problem by manually dragging the files from my computer harddrive to the connected iPhone within iTunes. I no longer have the option of doing this - any attempted dragging of files onto the iPhone results in them simply 'bouncing back.' This is true not just of these files, but also of all other music files, including those which are listed in iTunes as being 'ineligible' for iTunes Match, and so are not represented on the iPhone at all.

iTune Match is now considered a streaming service, with the optional download option. You cannot use iTunes to transfer songs anymore and need to use it exclusively on the device.
You also cannot download single files anymore, only albums and artist is supported.
The only workaround I've found was to click the cloud button for the album, and cancel all songs I don't want before they download.

No. This is probably THE biggest pain at the moment.
Apple is working on a "Apple ID merge accounts" function (if I have read the correct press here), because of a mass of users having the issue of multiple Apple ID's and content spread amongst them all.
One aside here: best practice is to change your Apple ID when you want to use a different email address. (here: https://appleid.apple.com ) rather then EVER using multiple Apple ID's in the first place.
One caveat... of course some Apple ID's people need separate for business/developer use, but for personal usage more than one is never recommended.

You can create another free iCloud account. You can share an Apple ID for the iTunes Store purposes. You (mom) can also keep the Apple ID as your iCloud ID. Your son gets the new iCloud ID.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. your email password is with your ISP so they can help. but if it is saved in the email app you can just change the ports in the preferneces without a password.
