How to i get my ipod disunabled

i recently changed my passcode so my younger brother wouldnt know it and i forgot the passcode, i have tried so many times now it says ipod diabled and i looked up how to connect it to itunes and i cant do it because my home button doesnt work. i have absolutly no idea how to fix this problem especially since i want to keep all of the pictures music etc. on my ipod and i figured i could just email or call apple and they could just search my ipod up but i dont have an icloud account set up therefore i dont think they would be able to look my ipod up and i dont want to go through all of the money and worry about getting a brand new ipod or iphone , i dont have the money and i want all of my data to be on my new whatever i would get. i need help and soon please and thank you !

Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs and then restore via iTunes:

So I'm adding new songs to a very old playlist? Is there anyway that when I add them, they automatically go to top of playlist? How about getting one song to the top of a playlist. That drag to arrange function is very annoying because it is slow and the playlist does not scroll up very well on a PC.

Make a new playlist by pressing the little plus button at the very lower left corner of iTunes. An new playlist will appear in the Source pane called "untitled playlist". While the name is highlighted, you can change it to whatever you want. Drag all of the tracks from all the albums that comprise a single book to that playlist. Sync that playlist to your iPod.

You did install the latest iTunes (10.5) right? If the problem was that iTunes does not see the iPod try:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

In your iTunes music library, if you sort the song list by Album, the songs within each album are sorted using the Track # field. For the albums that have this problem, is the Track # field for the album's songs correctly entered?
On the iPod, are you viewing the album by selecting
Main Screen -> Music -> Albums -> (select album name)
or by
Main Screen -> Music -> Artists -> Albums -> (select album name)
If you go through the Artist path, some songs may not appear on the album song list, because the artist field for some songs (on the same album) can be differently. For example, one of the album's songs may have a "guest artist" named in in the artist field.

Go to Settings>Notifications and turn alerts/sounds on for the app(s) in question. Not all apps have all options.
