How to I get uploaded web gallery photos to auto populate with my events?
When somebody uploads a photo in my web gallery, it syncs with the web gallery on iPhoto. However, it doesn't sync with the original event on iPhoto. I know I can drag the uploaded photo into the event. However, I have many photos and don't know when somebody has uploaded a photo and to which event in web gallery.
Is there any way around this?

Taking this a step further...
I identify the photos that someone else has uploaded to my web gallery.
I select and drag these photos to "Events" in iPhoto, and this creates a new event.
I drag the new event onto the old event to consolidate the photos.
I edit the photos I want to keep and delete the rest.
However, this changes / removes the photos uploaded by the other person in the web gallery. So, what procedure should I have followed to prevent changing / deleting the photos from this person? I would prefer to keep all of the photos in the same event. Will the following work:
1) Select only the photos that I want
2) Create duplicates of them in the web gallery
3) Drag the duplicates to "Events" and consolidate these with my original event
4) Edit the photos
Or, is there a better way?

Web Gallery, Photos Not Correct Rotation
I'm playing around with three photos and uploading them to a web gallery. Problem is, when I see them in Safari, the photos are upside down, which is how they were after their initial import.
In the web gallery project in iPhoto (7.1), the photos have been rotated to display properly, but after the upload, no good.
I deleted the "bad" web gallery, and started over. I've also done a rebuild of the iPhoto library. Not sure what else to try.
I would suspect that the web gallery is drawing from the Originals folder within the iPhoto Library. Sound reasonable?It's funny: I had just posted to someone else that they should update to 7.1 to get the web gallery to upload. I didn't realize I was not up all they way myself. So now I'm at 7.1.1.
Problem was, I still had upside down photos.
So the work around I employed was to export the edited photos out, delete the photos within iPhoto, then re-import the edited photos back in. Ah, now they show properly.
Not my favorite solution, but what are you going to do?
I still suspect there might something within the web gallery functionality, which wants to upload the Originals and not the Modifieds. Thoughts anyone? -
Bridge Web Gallery Photos Not Loading
Just upgraded from CS4 to CS6. I had been using the Create Web Photo Album command in CS4 which of course is no longer available.
So, opened Bridge and created an HTML Web Gallery. The HTML Gallery looks great and when I open it with DW locally it works fine in preview mode. After uploading the gallery to the server, the gallery page layout is there but the thumbnails don't load. Page is functional and when I click on one of the thumbnails its large pic page opens but again the pic does not load. The images, both the thumbnails and large images, upload OK and are present on the server.

I also tried two other gallery formats; Standard and Lightroom Flash. Both of these worked fine after uploading. So it appears to be a problem associated with the HTML gallery. I tried changing the page doc type to HTML 5 and HTML 4, to no avail.

How to access a .Mac Web Gallery
What is the syntax you enter in AppleTV for accessing a .Mac Web Gallery? Part of the Ad says "free content from the Internet on your widescreen TV. Not to mention your photos (and your friends’ photos) from Flickr or .Mac Web Galleries."
Watch your .Mac Web Gallery photos. How? My AppleTV did not come with a manual or a note stating a web address to go to for more information. Please help. ThanksI was doing that, but nothing was showing up. Then I thought after I posted the message in the forum, about security. I have folders (along with other people) that require a password to get in. I tested this theory out by placing some sample pictures in the main area and I see them. When others invite me to see secured pictures in their folder, why can I only see them when I'm on my computer and not on the AppleTV. I don't want to download them to take up space on my computer to see them on the TV. Is there a way to see secured pictures or is this another shortfall of AppleTV?

I downloaded the new Mozilla web browser and I had a Bing homepage setting. I changed back to yahoo but I ever since downloading I dont have any back arrows, forward arrows, file, edit, view, history, bookmark, tools, address bar....how do I get my web browser to look like a regular browser again?

Once the menus are back, you can use the View menu, then select Toolbars and click on the names of the toolbars to toggle displaying them. -
How can I get my web cam to work in Adobe Connect ?
This is actually an end user's question that I am having trouble answering to...
We use Adobe Connect to give online language classes, the end user is one of the students.
I cannot find the right Support answer to give him.
Problem:
My camera does not work when I connect to Adobe's rooms but camera works fine with other software.
Even though I suspected my old camera was working fine, yesterday I went ahead and bought a new camera.
I thought perhaps my webcam software may have been a problem, so I bought a different type camera with different software.
Even after removing all the old software, same result:
I surmised the problem might be caused by my firewall and security software, so once I tried changing the permissions for Adobe, and my Webcam, but that didn’t work.
Another time, I restarted my computer right before class and then turned off my firewall completely so there would be no interference but to no avail. I’m totally perplexed.
Isn’t there anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Has anyone else found a solution?
I run Windows Vista with McAfee Internet Security Software. I always reboot the computer before class and open no other programs other than Google Chrome.
I now have a brand new Microsoft LifeCam Cinema Camera with LifeCam 3.5 Webcam Software.
I test my camera before going online. It always works fine. Then I shut down the camera program and login into class.
When I “connect webcam” in the room, the light on my camera comes on (suggesting that it is ON), but only a black image is transmitted to the room.Check to see if you have Google Voice installed. If so, remove it and see
if your problem vanishes. If not Google Voice, check to see if you have
any other communications software which interacts with your cam and
disable it. This was the problem I had with a similar problem on a Mac.

I sent the advice out to the end user, but unfortunately this wasn't the
solution.
His reply is below :-
The default resolution of my new camera is already set at 640x360, but I
went ahead and tried several lower resolutions (e.g. 424x240; 320x240; and
160x120) but none worked in the room - camera still showed up as black
blank screen. Also, as far as I can tell, I don’t have the option of
adjusting the frame rate.
I started playing around with my Internet Security Settings to see if they
might be playing a role. So far, all to no avail.
Hmm...quite a tricky one - webcams always are - maybe if he can find a way
to adjust the frame rate (?).
He's going to fiddle about with the settings a bit more and see if
something does the trick.
If anyone has had a similar problem and found an ingenious solution,
please jot on a note on this thread.

I have photos on my iPad (the first apple device in our household) and then added an iMac and a Macbook air to our network. We have an airport 2TB back up device. How do I get all of my photos on all devices. My original iPad has images that my 2 newer devices do not have on iphoto.

How are the images stored on your original iPad? Are they in the camera roll, in events downloaded using the camera connection kit, or are they in albums synced to your ipad from a computer?
If the photos are in the camera roll or in events downloaded from a camera, you can transfer them to your iMac and MBA by directly connecting the iPad using USB. Then you can download the photos to iPhoto like from a camera.
Only, if your photos have been synced to the iPad from a computer, you will have to save them first to the camera roll; then you can download them by connecting the iPad via USB.
What IOS version has your iPad?
For new photos you might consider using Photo Stream to transfer your photos between the devices.

How do I get my wife's photos and video from her iCloud to my iPad. She no longer has an iDevice and I want to retrieve some really sentimental photos and videos of my grandson. I've logged on to her iCloud account on my iPad, but don't know what to do next.

TonyHer camera roll photos and videos would be included in her backup. Restoring her backup to the iPad should recover them.
Start by creating a current backup of your iPad that you can restore your data from later. It's faster if you do this on your computer using iTunes; if you can't, create a backup in your iCloud account. If you can back up to your computer, do this by connecting the iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Back Up. Then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
Then erase the iPad and restore her iCloud backup as explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521. When it's done, import the recovered photos and videos to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then erase the iPad again and restore the backup you made earlier, either from iTunes or from iCloud depending on where you backed it up.
If you want the photos back on the iPad, put them in a folder and sync them to your iPad by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. If you want to videos back on your iPad, import them to your iTunes library (File>Add to Library), then sync them to your iPad from the Movies tab of your iTunes sync settings. You will then find them in the Home Movies section of the Videos app on your iPad. Just so you are aware, photos that you sync to your iPad can only be removed later by syncing them off your iPad (by deselecting the folder on the Photos tab and syncing again). They can't be deleted on the iPad itself. -
I just updated my iTunes, and I need to delete photos from my iPod 4, and there is a Photo Library that synced to my iPod when i plugged it into my computer, and now it doesnt have the option to delete them off my iPod. How do I get rid of these photos? I have read other questions that say to plug the iPod into the computer and like un-sync it, but I downloaded the new iTunes and it doesnt have a photos tab. On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.
If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually. -

How do I get Apache web server working on my MacBook Pro, which is running Leopard 10.5.8?
When I enter 'http://localhost/~username/' (without the quote marks) as a URL in my Firefox browser on the MacBook, I do not see any result at all(!). I do have Web Sharing on in System Preferences on that machine. But the browser does nothing whatever for that URL ...
On my other computer, an iMac running Leopard 10.5.8, when I enter 'http://localhost/~username/' I see the default "Your Website Here" page. That same default page is in fact the index.html file I expect to see on the MacBook Pro. But it isn't getting invoked for some reason. Nothing is happening ...
When on the iMac I try 'http://10.0.1.18/~username/' (10.0.1.18 is the local IP address I see under 'Web Sharing: On' on the MacBook) I get "Unable to connect: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 10.0.1.18."
When on the MacBook I try 'http://10.0.1.5/~username/' (10.0.1.5 is the local IP address I see under 'Web Sharing: On' on the MacBook) I see the default "Your Website Here" page.
It is the same on my iPhone: Using the same local IP addresses and usernames, Safari can see the index.html page on my iMac but not on my MacBook.
It looks as if Apache is not working on the MacBook, while on the iMac it works fine.
On the MacBook I can see (after I use 'defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE' in Terminal) a /private/etc/apache2/ directory with what look to be(?) the usual contents. So it looks like Apache is duly installed, as far as I can tell.
On the MacBook I don't see a file at /private/var/log/apache2/error_log, which is the location for 'ErrorLog' given in the httpd.conf file.
That about exhausts my understanding of how to get a handle on my problem.
Any advice or suggestions from those who have more expertise with Apache will be much appreciated ...Okai, so we are getting somewhere, but not quit there yet :-)
I opened the Kenneth.conf file using the command: vi Kenneth.conf
This is what it said:

I therefore changed the AllowOverride from AuthConfig Limit to None, which was the only difference from what you posted above. Something did change, when I tried to open XAMPP it prompted me a password, but Apache still wont start :-/
