How to I lock a file so that it can't be editored by someone else?

I have done a large file for a sign and I don't want the sign company to be able to edit the file. The image is 3m x 1m so it's a large file.

Having the file saved as a Photoshop PDF would allow you to password lock the file for edits, yet still print it commercially.
I have High Quality Print as a preset, but there is a Press Quality setting.

It seems like your process is not updating. When you create a Web Client, it uses ActiveX which lets you control the Lookout process fully. Make sure that you run the process. You can do this by pressing CTRL+Spacebar which puts it in Run-mode. Perhaps then you may see your graphs, etc updating.

What kind of Web Server are you using? Make sure all the settings in it are done properly. If you have LabVIEW, you can use the LabVIEW Web Server.

Is there a way to lock a file so that users can NOT open while Testing?

Hello World:
I'm sure there is a way but I can not think of a good solution right now.
I'm writing to a file.csv every 2 seconds for about 10 hours or more.
If a user opens the file to view, then my program in Labview will crash
because is being used.
How would you solve this problem?

Look up the function to Get and Set File permissions. This will allow you to lock the file when you start and unlock it when your finished. =o)
Here's the sample from the help file:
The Set Permissions function includes a permissions input that allows you to control access to files and directories that you create. To define the permissions you want to set, you can wire the permissions output of the Get Permissions function to the permissions input of the Set Permissions function, or you can wire a constant or a control.
The 9 bits that the permissions parameter uses are divided into three sets: user, group, and others. Each set is divided into three permission categories: read, write, and execute. Read determines if members of a set can read a file or directory. Write determines if members of a set can write data to a file or directory. Execute determines if members of a set can execute the file. A 1 in the bit grants permission.
For example, the following illustration shows how to grant a user permission to read from, write to, and execute a file, and deny permission from the other two sets.
Octal format shortens each three-bit group within the parameter to a single octal value. (Windows) For example, to make a file read-only, enter the octal value 200, which corresponds to the binary representation 10000000. (Linux) To grant users read, write, and execute permissions, enter the octal value 700, which corresponds to the binary value 111000000.

I believe you need a full version of Adobe Reader in order to fill out online PDFs. I don't think the built-in PDF viewer capabilities of Preview.app on the Mac allow you to fill out online PDFs. That is a function of the recipient's e-mail software understanding what your software sent. If it doesn't it will always show as an icon or attachment. It is also a function of both your internet provider and their internet provider accepting messages of that size, and a function of their download attachment settings in their e-mail program. There is no way to guarantee it will appear inline in the attachment. The best you can do is attach with Windows Friendly format. To do that, use the attach toolbar icon that looks like a paperclip, (View menu -> Customize toolbar if invisible) on Mac OS X Mail when composing the message. A checkbox appears in the file dialog box's bottom to make it Windows friendly when you navigate to pick the PDF file. That makes it as universally compatible as possible. It still may not appear inline, but at least you are less likely to be incompatible.

Create main folder e.g. Folder A, then sub-folders inside A e.g. B, C, D and have your Photos in B, C, D.
In iTunes Sync, click your device on the left Pane, then on right pane select "Photo" tab.
Make sure Sync photo box is checked, then select folder A, then All folders box within the selection.
Click Apply or Sync button at the lower right window.
you will have B,C,D folders under Albums.

Presently after exporting and burning each photo is identified by the file name rather than each individual title description.

File name and Title are not the same thing.
Filename is attached to the Jpeg file in the Finder.
Title is attached to the photo within the Jpeg file - as is the description. These are written to the Exif and IPTC metadata on export.
So: File -> Export. Kind: Jpeg or Tiff and Check the box at 'Title and Keywords'. This will write the Title, keywords and descriptions (though not explicitly stated) to the metadata. This can then be viewed in any app that understand this material.
You can choose, if you wish, to also use the Title as a Filename - that's an option at File Name

so, you'll probably need to use dng converter 7.4 because your cs5 program won't accept a 7.2+ update. but check first because it's not clear what cs5 program you're trying to use.

you did purchase your product from these firms like Amazon, so you didn't get a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. Please have a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html. (Start here: How did you purchase your product?)
The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.
Additionally you should have a look at Adobe's database, to see what's stored/saved about your accounts. Here you will find general infos about your Adobe Account.

I have been using Google Drive to share files with friends and family but this week began getting a pop-up that I need to upgrade my Google Drive software.
I downloaded the file from Google but when I try to install/replace, I get the following two messages:
The operation can’t be completed because the item “Google Drive” is in use.
The operation can’t be completed because a required item is in use.
My browser is closed so I don't know why it appears that the software is in use.
So, I checked this forum and found that because of some problems with Google Drive and OS X, I need to "uninstall" my current Google Drive application but I don't know how to do that.
Can someone please tell me, step-by-step, how to completely uninstall this software so that I can reload the newer version?
