How to I make a round object (something that is circular, without a white background)

Hi - I'm trying to create a logo for a project, and I want the logo to be round. When I transfer the image to my website, it has a square box around it. How do I stop that from happening? The website will only let me upload .jpg and .png files.
Thanks!

It may be as simple as you have the background layer showing and not hidden when you save for web? If you have created your image/logo, assuming you have used something like the ellipse tool as suggested above and you have these items on a few layers, turn off  the background layer so you see the transparency grid behind your artwork and then save for web (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S), you can then select png-24 and save. See below...

  • How do i live trace without the white background

Im using cs3 photoshop and illustrator.
I want an object lived traced in illustrator without an white background colour.
I selected the object and cut it in photoshop and put it in a window with a transparant background, i saved it and opened it in illustrator, than it comes up without a background, but when i live trace it a white background comes up.
Anybody know what i can do about it?
    thanks

You first have to expand the art, then proceed with the magic wand. Or select one white objekt with direct select and use Select > Same > fill color

  • How do you make a photo in DW that changes automatically in a loop and needs  no visable buttons

How do you make a photo in DW that changes automatically in a loop and needs  no visable buttons?

I'm sorry to be so vague. I have recently found out that what I want
to do is put my images in a javascript image rotator. I have looked
this up on google and have now tried about 6 different codes. I try to
follow the insert directions but I must be doing something wrong. I
get the first photo linked up but can never make the picture change to
show the other two photos in the image folder.
Can you direct me as to how this works in dw?
Thank you so much for helping.

  • How can I make MUSE upload one png that it overlooks? Cache cleared & shows in Preview

MUSE uploads  everything to BC except an inport png. I cleared the cache, it shows inPreview, no conflicts noted in Assets and the Browser reflects any other changes I make to the page.  The space for the image is missing online and the entire page moves up to fill the space

Thanks for getting back. I had a deadline so I gave-up trying to make that (great) extracted image work and deleted it from my system -frustration. For what its worth, MUSE displayed the png in Design/ Preview/ Plan &  provided an empty space for it when published.  Besides this quirk, MUSE has been a great.

One you start up the new one for the first time, Setup Assistant starts and offers you the option of migrating your old Mac to your new Mac with Time Machine, among other choices, as the source. You can also use Migration Assistant (in the Utilities Folder) to do the same thing.

  • How do I make images round - CS5 Photoshop

I'm editing photographs of tabletop ceramics - plates, etc. and often images are shot off center and I have to make them round.
I use the Filter Lens Correction Feature with some success and the Warp feature to fine tune - but it's all eyeballing the image which isn't accurate.
Is there any feature that can help with this process or a grid that will enable me to ensure they are round??
    Windows CS5 Photoshop -

    JJMack,
Thanks for the quick turnaround with an answer and I like your idea of shooting against a defineable backdrop -
In most cases I am not shooting the images but am working with images sent to me.  I know there is a grid but do you know of anything like a grid of concentric circles that can be used to assess whether the object is round?

  • How to create a pointy round object for approval seal

Hi - I'm really not great with Illustrator so I'm hoping someone can help me.  See the image below:
I downloaded the deaf friendly seal as a vector image from a stock website.  Now my co-workers want me to add that "sunburst" round edge and put it behind the round part of the deaf friendly one.  Rather than download another vector image of the pointy round thing, I'd like to try to do it myself but I'm not good with Illustrator.
Can someone provide a tutorial or help on how to create that round object with points around it - maybe a quick and easy way to do it?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks to all of you.  Appreciate all of the help.  The result:

How can I make an iphone app with xcode that worrks like a newspaper? So that I can post articles on the app while it is on appstore. Can I directly connect the app with my mac or do I have to connect it to a database?  Thanks

Funny, I was thinking you'd want to use the prescribed deployment that Apple went to all the trouble to provide so you wouldn't trot down the garden path with some other implementation, only to find your app rejected with the admonition to use Newsstand after all...
If you're all hot to ignore all that & DIY, why are you even asking...why not just go for it...

  • How can I duplicate a smart object and then edit it, without affecting the original?

I have a vector element from illustrator that I am placing in a tshirt mockup in photoshop. I have the layout essentially how I would like, but I am trying different color variations. I would think to just duplicate the first placement and then edit the color of the resulting copy, but this affects both the copy and the original. I looked into it a bit further, and found that I should try the "replace contents" option under smart objects, and that this would change the copy. So I go back to illustrator, made a copy of the original vector, and then made the color change I had in mind, and then saved it as a separate document that I could then use in replacing the contents of the copied. This however, is still affecting both smart objects!
I have tried this as both linked smart objects and embedded smart objects without success.
Ultimately, I simply want to maintain the position of the original layer with the duplicated and edited layers. If you know of a better way, please share!

I'm on CC on a Mac.
What 21 is talking about is making some sense.
I am able to create new smart object via copy, then create a variation on the original file linked in the parent smart object. Then I save that from illustrator with a different file name. Then I go back to photoshop and replace contents of the new smart object, linking it to the newer illustrator file.
This gets around the problem, but it takes a few more steps than the same thing did it in earlier versions of photoshop.

  • How can i make still from 16:9 film tot bitmap without distortion?

how can I make stills from my 16:9 movie to bitmap without having distortion?
! work with Adobe Premiere Elements 10

    Bernard Bussemaker
If you really have a 720 x 576 Standard Widescreen Video 16:9 (PAR = 1.4587) and you want a jpg still capture from it using Premiere Elements 10, then I suggest the following:
    Premiere Elements 10
Project Preset = PAL DV Widescreen
Place the Timeline Indicator to the frame that you want as a jpg image.
    Go to
    Share
    Computer
    Image
and there set Presets = DV PAL SD (it is long story, but you do not have much choice at that level), so
you could experiment with JPEG - HD 1920 x 1080 but no sure how that is going to look going from 720 x 576 to 1920 x 1080, so
Under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset, set
Frame Width 1024 or 1050 pixels
    Frame Width 576 pixels
    Aspect = Square (1.0)
("or" relates to....if you just want a 16:9 jpg still, then 1024 will do fine. If you want a 16:9 jpg still that will present in a Premiere Elements project to fill the Edit Mode monitor, then 1050.
1024 x 576 is the square pixel version of the non square pixel version 720 x 576 widescreen which is stretched for display after encoding.
Image can resize downward if necessary. More details on that later.)
If the details of what I have suggested are too much, then just try the suggestion step by step and then  let us know if it works for you. If any questions or you need clarification on anything written, please do not hesitate to ask.
If you are really dealing with a 720 x 576 4:3 standard video, we can go through that next.
But the answers are in the details.
    Thanks.

  • How to insert cropped images from photoshop without the white background

Basically all I want to do is take a peice of writing from a video and insert it into another video. To do this I've took a screenshot of the font from the video and imported it into photoshop. I've then cropped/cut/took the the peice of writing I want, letter by letter. I want to be able to insert it into another video, but whenever I attempt to do it, I have the default white background of photoshop. Is there anyway to insert an image from photoshop, without taking the background with it, or even insert a layer from photoshop straight into final cut pro? Sorry if this is confusing.

I don't think so. I cropped the letters, put them each an individual file, removed the background, saved them as a TIF then tried to import them onto Final Cut Pro, but a white background still appeared in the TIF file. Basically I just want to make the background transparent I believe.

  • How can I remove a part of a picture and paste on a white background

I have a picture of a purse shot outside and I'd like to remove purse from the picture and layer on a white background

Sounds like you may be looking for a "Select Purse and Extract Onto White Background" function.
Instead, think more along the lines of:
    Select just the purse pixels
Refine selection to handle edges better
Copy selected pixels into a new layer with a mask based on the selection
Set background to a white fill
It's going to take a *little* elbow grease, but fortunately the above operations are fairly well supported by Photoshop's tools, and it's normally a fairly quick and easy task using e.g., the Quick Selection Tool, Refine Edge button, Layer - New Fill Layer, etc.
See this particular video for how-to, but think "purse" instead of "girl's head and hair":

As c.pfaffenbichler has asked, please post the image and I'm sure you'll get specific pointers.

  • How do I make multiple different objects look like they belong in another environment?

For example, photos of city buildings put onto a green field. The colors do not match and the lighting is all wrong, im sorry if this is a really basic question to ask but please help, thanks!

  • How do I make a view object containing two entity objects updatable?

I have a view object that contains attributes from two entity objects. The query looks like this
    SELECT AplCfgPartyEO.ID,
    AplCfgPartyEO.ID_HRM_BRW_JOB,
    HrmBrwJobEO.CREATED_BY,
    HrmBrwJobEO.CREATION_DATE,
    HrmBrwJobEO.ID AS ID1,
    HrmBrwJobEO.ID_HRM_BAS_JOB_TYPE,
    HrmBrwJobEO.JOB_NO,
    HrmBrwJobEO.MODIFIED_BY,
    HrmBrwJobEO.MODIFY_DATE,
    HrmBrwJobEO.ORIGIN,
    HrmBrwJobEO.PICTURE
    FROM APL_CFG_PARTY AplCfgPartyEO, HRM_BRW_JOB HrmBrwJobEO
    WHERE AplCfgPartyEO.ID_HRM_BRW_JOB = HrmBrwJobEO.ID
My problem is that I am only allowed to update the attributes from the AplCfgPartyEO entity object while the attributes from the HrmBrwJobEO entity object become read only. I want to be able to update all of the attributes how do I do that?

If someone will read this later I can inform them that I am using Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.0.2 at the moment. Thanks Chris, your answer solved my problem but I was a little surprised though that it wasn´t updatable by default.
