How to i resize animation in movie?

Hi, I'm trying to import animations I made in photoshop into my imovie, however when I import them they are stretched horizontally, and I can't figure out for the life of me how to make them look normal. Help!!

sure, iM is for _video formats_, which reads as 4:3 or 16:9, not 1:1 (=square).
you have two options:
re-create in Photo shop the animation: just set the 'working space' to the new aspect ratio (= which will add 'bars' left/right); if the animation has a plain background, at the color of existing background to new 'empty' backspace.
or...
use tools as QTpro to add 'bars' l/r to your existing video export...

  • How does one resize a quicktime movie -

I am trying to resize a Quicktime movie - from 720 pixels wide to 500 pixels wide - height does not matter. This on for a PC - I know how to do it on a Mac. Thanks

To change the dimensions would require the Pro upgrade. Use the Movie properties window to make the change in the width and check the box to maintain aspect ratio.

  • How do I resize an imported movie?

I am creating a movie in iMovie from multiple imported clips. When I import some of them and add them to my project, they expand and some of the title text and images are cut off. Is there a way to resize clips once added to the project so that they will play at the appropriate size?

There are two reasons the size could be off.
    1) If some of your clips were recorded in a 4:3 aspect ratio and you have a 16:9 project (or vice versa.)
The solution is to use the FIT CROP KEN BURNS TOOL and choose FIT. It will letter box your 4:3 so you see the whole frame, with black borders at the side.
    2) If you analyzed for stabilization on some shaky footage, then the stabilization works by zooming in. Once the footage has been analyzed, you can turn stabilization on or off, and you can adjust the amount of zoom. Open the clip inspector by clicking on the little gear icon at the top left of a clip and you can turn off the stabilization, or you can move the zoom slider to less zoom.

Hi. Please can anyone show me how to install a flash document / movie into a powerpoint presentation so that the animation plays within the powerpoint? Thanks

wouldn't it make more sense that a flashtard is someone who
just generally sucks at flash and asks idiotic questions?
anyway, so i pretty much got the banner done - but i'm stuck
on one problem. I made a motion clip of a heart, and i want the
heart to fall from top to bottom, following a squiggly motion
guide, and to rotate 1/4 turn on the way. I got it as far as
following the motion guide, but when i try to select the instance
in the first frame and rotate it, shouldn't the motion tween make
it appear to slowly rotate, rather than stay put then rotate 1/4
turn at the last frame? When I select the clip and play around with
alpha and stuff, that works fine. What the heck?

  • How can I disable the window-resize animations?

For some reason Skype insists on adding some slow animations when resizing the Window, when resizing Skype manually it already feels very slugish but when using tools like Spectacle to easily tile your Window it just looks very silly.
After resizing Skype to take the right half of the screen (from maximized) it takes about a second for it to stop reflowing the text in the Window because it appears to be doing some slow reflow/resizing animation thing. Since it sucks up huge amounts of CPU and slows everything down I'm just wondering how I can disable this weird behaviour.

OK I can now get the dialog window to pop up with a single click in a document with my mouse or intuos tablet.   I had never seen that popup. Under normal conditions with the mouse I use and my old Intuos 2 now replaced with an Intuos 5 with default sensitivity setting I never saw that popup.  Now that I know it exists and how to get it I can pop it up.  Try changing your Wacom feel perhaps your getting extra single clicks.

  • Flash Animations and Movies are lagging after having played a flash game which was graphics intense heavy and frequently refreshed which caused lags, how can I fix this lagging problem for Flash?

On June 30th, I was playing a game called Lil Einstein's Manhattan project over at Newgrounds.com and the game although fine at first, later on in the advanced levels of the game, started to cause my browser to lag intensely and heavily. Now, when I try and watch other flash movies and animations, the flash doesn't run as smoothly, there are skips in the flash animations and movies, and it slows down.
I tried scan disks, I tried defragmenting my computer, I tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.. Nothing worked to restore the Flash.
But when I view Flash movies and animations on Internet Explorer, they run fine... but not anymore on Firefox.
Other Firefox users who have played this game also reported problems as well..
How can I fix my Firefox Browser and return the Flash running to normal?

If you have already scanned PC with an updated Anti-Virus and still the issue exists then I would suggest some troubleshooting techniques to resolve this problem:
    Update browser
    Remove unwanted Add-ons
    Remove unwanted Tool-bars
    Repair Registry
Repair ActiveX objects and shared DLLs
In case of facebook and Zynga I would suggest to Check for Problems with your Internet Connection.Try to Update Java and Reduce the Number of Running Internet Applications.
Sometimes Multimedia content lag due to Hardware Acceleration, so disabling Hardware Acceleration should fix your problem.
    Open Flash Video in browser
Right click on Video Player | Settings
    Open Display Panel
    Uncheck Enable Hardware Acceleration
If issue still exists then you can find some more techniques described in detail here:

  • Resizing animated GIF using JIMI.

    Hi everybody,
I have a very simple question: how can i resize an animated gif using JIMI?
what i can do now is open the gif resize it and save it as a jpeg pic, but the animation dosen't normally remain. i want to save it as a gif thus the animation info remains.
when i try saving it using this code:
    try{
                    Jimi.putImage("image/gif",new_image,destination);
                catch(JimiException je){
                    System.err.println("JimiException: " + je.toString());
                }i get this exception:
com.sun.jimi.core.JimiException: Cannot find encoder for type: image/gif.
Where can i find a gif encoder for JIMI?
    Please help.

Jimi doesn't support GIF encoding and I afraid not support resizing animated GIFs but resize only the first frame. To resize animated GIFs I suggest to use Gif4J (http://www.gif4j.com): it's commercial but it works and works very well.

  • Identifying/resizing animated GIF

    Hi
This is my situation: I load user-selected image files (any format is OK, the more the better) for later transmission as byte array, always re-encoded as JPG. If the image is over some certain width/height, I scale down the image (display size issues). Until now I was reading the images with ImageIO.read, downsizing with Graphics2D.drawImage and encoding with ImageIO.write, and everything works nicely.
Now I need to support animated GIFs as well. The current method makes animated gifs as a static first frame of the animation. My two alternatives are:
1 - support animated GIF downsizing
2 - detecting animated GIFs and handling them separately (no resize allowed, no re-encode)
The first alternative sounds cumbersome, Googling around showed problems with lost transparency and requiring to downsize all frames separately and then re-encode. If I have to do this extract-downsize-encode I won't take this route, better do not perform animated GIF resizing. The second alternative sounds much simpler, and less problem-prone.
Now I would like suggestions on how can I archive this. I'd really appreciate some code/lib to detect and optionally resize animated GIFs. It must be a free code solution.
The only animated GIF detection code I found was this, but it requires looking for certain bytes, and I'd like a more robust solution (also it didn't worked).
I would like to keep using ImageIO API rather than older APIs, as it seems to provide better image format support and is way simpler. A lib to do the GIF part of the job is fine.
    Thanks!

This is my situation: I load user-selected image files (any format is OK, the more the better) for later transmission as byte array, always re-encoded as JPG. If the image is over some certain width/height, I scale down the image (display size issues). If they are JPEGs that is entirely the wrong solution. You are losing far too much image quality. What you should be doing here is saving with a lower 'q'. That's exactly what it's for - intelligent compression of images. You are just doing naive resampling. JPEG can do far better than that.
I worked on a project where somebody downsized thousands of images like this, entirely the wrong way. Don't repeat this mistake.
As to the rest, sounds like you need a GIF plugin for ImageIO that will let you read the header.

  • Merge/concatenate animation codec movie files in the command line/shell

We know how to join 2 mp4/h264 movies together in the command line/shell via MP4Box.
We have not been able to find a similar tool for joining to Quicktime Animation codec movie together via command line/shell.
Anyone know how to do that of have suggestions?
    thanks,

    Hi,
I'm also having trouble with this same issue. I've been trying to change the Quicktime Default Setting to 10-bit uncompressed (btw codec works fine out directly out of QT and other apps), or to use the command line to do quick renders of tiff frame sequences to QT 10-bit. I think its a problem with my syntax on the command line. As per the manual I set up a fileout in a script with 10-bit as the codec, opened the script in Textedit and followed the instructions on p393, and dropped it into the include/startup directory. Below is a copy of the Textedit view of the script output settings. Also, If I want to use these settings the command line what should I change? The quotation marks, commas etc?
"QuickTime", "Shake 3 QT 1", "Apple FCP Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2",
    0, "100W@c6000WDcsuHpoe10pFnKA6W230PPMMRH#0LgfI5ALV1EaKGn3DG3214QaPb03SeOBPg00K1bY AESIIW0KAbabF7YWOQan8401v6QvQehFnRYIBt9be1B4AEjYA6ci8YmM#IKXCg5aRMZC2MXBM0Ani04w HAJLmBrQ97MtegeEEO9d5oBoxCgv7GNhEOvai8INwFwb2roIf91bvbr040HAK4IYCW0",
    0, 44100, 16);
I get the same message returned in Terminal:
error: - NRiCompressor - corrupted input data (length)
The QuickTime codec specified in the global default could not be selected. The system default codec will be selected.
So it renders to Animation. Something else I found was that the example on p393 in the manual is for 10-bit uncompressed - so I tried copying it right off the page, into Textedit, and into the include/startup dir - still no joy.
Can anyone shed any light on the matter?

  • How do I add animations to titles using premeire elements 10

I took a multimedia class at my school which used premeire cs4 and i learned in the class how to make titles and pictures move and do animations using keyframes(like moving on and off screen and spinning etc.) also I don't see how to use green screen effects with this software it seems like it really does not seem like elements 10 does not do that much, or is it just my imagination. and while I'm at it can I get Media encoder for free?

Yes, you can set up keyframed animations in Premiere Elements, just as you can in Premiere CS4. Just right-click on a clip on your timeline, select Show Properties and open the keyframe workspace, as a show you in my books and in my free PDF article "Basic Keyframing" on Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com.
    http://muvipix.com/products.php?searchphrase=basic+keyframing&btn.x=0&btn.y=0
The PC version of the program includes a number of Chroma Key effects, including Green Screen and Blue Screen. However, the Mac version includes only Videomerge, a semi-automatic Chroma Key tool. Are you on a Mac or a PC?
The Media Encoder is included only with Pro versions of the software, not Elements. However, you can output dozens of formats from Premiere Elements. All you need to do is decide where you ultimately plan to display your video.

The photoshop window is larger than my computer screen. How do I resize it so I can see the bottom controls? I tried dragging the corner, but it only moves vertically. I need the horizontal to move so I can see the bottom of the window.

Which version of photoshop and operating system are you using?
On a mac, did you try clicking on the Green Maximize button?
On a windows os did you try the Maximize button at the top right of the photoshop window?

It is not clear what you are asking about. Could explain another way?
Please start with what version of Premiere Elements you are working and on what computer operating system it is running?
From what you wrote, I am not sure if you are saying
    a. The Timeline Indicator is stuck and will not more from left to right when you try to play back the Timeline content in the Edit area
    or
    b. You want to create an animation
    or
    c. You are doing a Picture in Picture (PiP) and want the picture (or video insert) to move to different locations within the frames over the course of
    time.

    d. Other

Really? I need to check that out!
You should certainly be able to add content by reference to itunes from such a disk (even before the update) - so long as itunes knows the location of the file (set Preferences not to copy to local library when adding the media) it will stream it to AppleTV if the disk is available.
I hope you're right, but I'd be surprised if current Extremes can be upgarded to provide a full Home Sharing service - marvellous if they can but I'd be surprised as i've long said we need an Apple media server either based on TC or AE to do this kind of thing.
