Not sure what you are refering to. Explain "captions" and what you want to do.

  • Show captions in Aperture Slideshow

    I am creating a movie consisting of a few Aperture slideshow segments, and other clips. I want to show captions on some of the slides of Aperture; how do I do that? I see how to add them into the metadata, but what is it that makes them viewable as the slide shows?

    It will depend on the slideshow theme, if you can show the captions as an overlay. If it is available, you can enable "Text" in the "Selected Slide" setting for individual slides or "default Settings" for all slides. For example in the "Classic Theme":
    The same will work for the Ken Burns Theme, but not for the other more elaborate themes.

  • How can I show metadata on a slideshow?

    I'm doing a presentation and want to use Aperture's slideshow.  I'd like to show the EXIF data at the bottom of each image, but can't seem to find a way to do it.
    I'm using a 17' MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8 and Aperture version 3.1.2.
    Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!
    Charlie

    Depending on the theme, you can choose some specific text to display under Default Settings or, if you only want to display the text on specific slides, under Selected Slides. I don't see a way to display all the EXIF data.

    How can I insert captions onto my slideshow photo's ...I did this 2 yrs. ago but have forgotten how.

    What version of iPhoto are you using?  iPhoto 7 (08) or iPhoto 8 (09)? If you're running iPhoto 8 (09) then click on the Setting button at the bottom, click on Show Captions and select what you want to be displayed:

    How can I put captions in a pdf slideshow in Photoshop Elements 13?

    Tags are independent of PDF page content. Removing/deleting a page or page(s) does not remove anything in the PDF's structure tree.
    As Full Check is looking at the structure tree the report reflects what is present there.
    In the Tags panel walk the structure tree to locate the Table tags. Delete these.

  • How do you show slideshows on a TV?

    HOW DO I SHOW A SLIDE SHOW ON THE TV?

    Export them to the desktop. This makes a QuickTime movie of it. From that you need to connect your mac to the TV, or burn to disk or in someother way make the movie available to it. How you do this really depends on the TV and the Mac you have, and the ports available.
    Please don't type in block caps. They are harder to read, and on the forum it looks like you're shouting at everyone.

  • How to add a caption to photo in shared photo stream?

    Hi @all,
    I hope I am not right but there is no option of using the description/caption for a photo in my iPhoto library when I share it with other people in a photo stream?
    All I found was that you can use the comment field to add a caption-like text to each photo. But when I create a slideshow within iPhoto I then cannot use this comment text as a caption for the slideshow. This is completely useless to me as I would have to copy all my captions from the description field to the comment field to show them in a shared photo stream. Who at Apple came up with that idea? I might be wrong but isn't the caption feature one of the most important features when you share photos with other people? How should a fried know what a shared photo shows if I cannot add a descriptive caption to it?
    Cheers,
    Martin

    Martin,
    there is no way to add captions, only the comments box in the Shared Stream.
    See this discussion:  Re: How do I get photo descriptions to show on photos uploaded to Photo Stream?
    The only textual annotation that can be streamed as part of the metadata of the shared photo is the filename (or  EXIF tags you added to the file in your camera or with other programs, like the copyright notice). So, to transfer a caption with your streamed photo, replace the filename by a caption.  You can do that in iPhoto by exporting your photos using "File > Export" and selecting "Filename > Use Title" in the export panel. This will use your current titles as the filenames. Then reimport the  exported photos and share the reimported photos with the changed filenames. You can delete the reimported files from the library after sharing them, but don't delete them from the stream.

  • Can you make captions for a slideshow?

    can you make captions for a slideshow? otherwise how can i rename the photo so that i can select view titles in the slideshow and use it as a caption?

    Jim lo:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can't make captions with iPhoto. You can edit the title of a photo by selecting it and then going to the Info window at the bottom of the Source pane, the "i" button, clicking on the title field and enter what text you'd like.
    If you plan on using the slideshow in iDVD then those titles will not show as they will be lost in the "overscan" area that is common to all movies played on TV. You can create the slideshow in iMovie and have lots of control over titles and subtitles and greater control of the audio track, cut, fade in/out, etc.

  • How to add cations to photos for slideshow

    How do I add captions to photos (to identify people or places) for a slideshow presentation? I'll be showing old photos and my audience won't know who is in the picture.

    If you're running iPhoto 11 you can set the slideshow to display the title or title and descriptions or just descriptions in the Settings pane:
    This only works in the Classic and Ken Burns themes.

  • How can I show my pictures' (files') name in Adobe Muse lightbox?

    How can I show my pictures' (files') name in Adobe Muse lightbox?
    For example: DSC_0022.jpg

    Hello,
    Muse does not pick up and display the file name by default.
    However, the slideshow Lightbox has a Caption option in which you can manually type the file name there and display it anywhere on/around the picture.

  • How can I insert captions to photos on Apple TV?

    I'd like to have captions show on the photos that appear when using Apple TV 2. I'm currently using iPhoto 6.0.6 on a PowerBook G4 from 2005, and see no place where this could work. If iPhoto won't work, can anyone recommend a software that will show captions AND work with Apple TV2.

    iPhoto and Aperture won't, I can't be certain about other software but since photos outside of iPhoto and Aperture are merely referenced by filepath rather than being integrated with iTunes support I very much doubt it.
    You could of course create a slideshow in iPhoto with descriptions and export it to a quicktime movie, but you may not get the quality you get with the Apple TV slideshow.

  • Captions and no captions with multiple slideshows (a bug in idvd 6?)

    Hi,
    I am having a problem with the captions option in multiple slideshows, and am wondering if this a bug within idvd 6. My project has two slideshows which I created within idvd because I wanted the manual option of forwarding through your slides on tv. I have one slideshow with captions selected and the other has captions deselected. Both slideshows preview correctly in idvd, but when I burn the dvd to a disk, I either get both slideshows with captions or both without. The only way around this was to select captions for both slideshows and then manually delete the captions out of the slideshow that I didn't want them to appear. Is this a known glitch with idvd 6?

    I foolishly tried this on a separate Mac on a different library, that one with 22000 images that I had not edited (since the old iPhoto would just die a slow death on that sized library).
    I actually only spent the money for iPhoto 6 (iLife's remainder package did not have any compelling use for me right now) and its ability to handle 25000 images.
    Well, it is faster (i.e. it does not go to sleep for 12 minutes) if I click the scroll button but the blank images problem showed up there also. And ALL of those pictures were standard jpgs and not one was from a weird camera or ever modified or otherwise tweaked if that were an excuse for iPhoto 6 misbehaving with some pictures.
    VERY annoying and very strange that they would not see this in Beta testing. Assuming they do test. So, folks, if you are planning to buy iLife for iPhoto, be forewarned. I will add this to my TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY blog entries at http://imran.com/media/blog/ so people are aware.
    regards
    Imran

  • Showing 'comments' on a Slideshow?

    hello-
    Is it possible to show my "comments" on a photo on my Slideshow? aside from showing the 'title' of my .jpg during the Slideshow - It doesn't seem like I can show my comments?
    I want captions on my slideshow- but i dont want to rename all my titles to captions, and i dont want the CIMG01 to show up as a title!
    Does this make sense? Anyone have any ideas? I thought that maybe Apple would have corrected this in iLife '08- but i cant find it....
    Please help!

    mishkin:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can only have the title displayed during a slideshow. However, there's an apple script that will take your comments and put them in the title field for use in the slideshow. You can find it here: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20070822121100394&query=applescript %2Btitle. Be sure to read the comments as they point out an error in the script that's easy to correct.
    Another slideshow application that can use iPhoto images and titles seamlessly is PhotoPresenter. It has some 27 themes that are outstanding. This is just one of them.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can we show data in rows when it is in Columns........

    I have strucked with a simple but a complex problem.
    I have a Report with data in vertical rows..need of the hour is how can we show that data into column structure.
    here is the table sample which i have in Database..
    Location      chrg_type    Effective_date
    xxxxxxx        xxxx          xx-xx
    thhis is the structure in effective date we have several months in it in a single column i want show the effective date or effective month in various columns instead of a single column.
    my required table is....
                                Effective_date     Effective_date
    Location      chrg_type     xx-xx              xx-xx
    xxxxxxx        xxxx          xx-xx
    any tough heads?????

    Hi Sunil,
    Your 1st problem is that you are going to need one more field to accomplish you goal. What type of data do want under your new date columns?
    Anyway, once you have that you need to move on to how to move the data out into columns based on date.
    Try something like this.
    0_Date = IF DATEPART('m',{tbl.Effective_date}) = DATEPART('m',CurrentDate) AND
    DATEPART('yyyy',{tbl.Effective_date}) = DATEPART('yyyy',CurrentDate)
    THEN {tbl.DataField}
    1_Date = IF DATEPART('m',{tbl.Effective_date}) = DATEPART('m',DATEADD('m', -1, CurrentDate)) AND
    DATEPART('yyyy',{tbl.Effective_date}) = DATEPART('yyyy',DATEADD('m', -1, CurrentDate))
    THEN {tbl.DataField}
    2_Date = IF DATEPART('m',{tbl.Effective_date}) = DATEPART('m',DATEADD('m', -2, CurrentDate)) AND
    DATEPART('yyyy',{tbl.Effective_date}) = DATEPART('yyyy',DATEADD('m', -2, CurrentDate))
    THEN {tbl.DataField}
    ... Repeat this process until you have all of the columns you need, following this format.
    Hope this works for you,
    Jason

    How to capture show layer and hide layer event in photoshop through a plugin???for mac

    Use the Listener plug-in found in the SDK to see how you can monitor the show/hide layer event. You can also use the Getter plug-in to show what information you can find out about the current state of Photoshop.
