How to I unauthorize iTunes on a Mac that no longer works, it's dead.

I had a G3 that sadly, is dead and living with Jesus now. The mother board is dead on it. A Mac friend of mine was able to get all my data, including all my iTunes music and videos off the dead G3 and migrate onto a used G5 that I bought from a mutual friend of ours, so when I logged onto the G5 that I just bought, I had to authorize it for iTunes, but my problem is my old dead G3 is still authorized for iTunes, but it won't even boot up any more. It's unusable. How do I unauthorize iTunes on that old G3? I don't want of my five authorizations being wasted on a machine that doesn't even work. Any suggestions?

I have never bought an app but on all other things Apple somewhere has in tiny print the system requirements for running the software. If you're going to live in the world of outdated technology the way I do, you will quickly learn to always read system requirements.

Deauthorize two Macs that no longer work

I've read and understand this article but just wanted to make sure there was no other way to deauthorize these machines....it's almost as if I need to find one more Mac and authorize it in order to have the "Deauthorize All" option.
Am I right on this?

All purchases online were made from the same iTunes account.
However, some of the music was taken from purchased CD's, and although I hate to admit it, a small portion was acquired thru file sharing when I was unable to find it in the iTunes store.
iTunes used to place shared files in their own folder but over recent years, the program has gotten much more clever...iTunes will no longer play shared files of this sort (as far as I can tell). I guess shared music lacks the metadata necessary for iTunes.
I no longer acquire music this way, of course, but I cannot remember which is which in the library. Regardless, for purposes of this thread I'm fairly certain I'm getting the authorization window on legitimate stuff. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.

All apps are always tied to the account from whaich they were purchased and will always have to be updated using that account.
Just because the e-mail account is shut down, has nothing to do with the itunes account. Why did you create a new account? Why not just change the e-mail associated with the old account?

I'm going to see if Currys can remove all info from my hard drive and hopefully recover my itunes, but if this does not work is there another way to get them?

The computer not working in no way means the drive is inaccessible.
Place the drive in an external enclosure.
Use the backup of the computer to restore the data to the new computer.

Go to store on the menu bar. Select view my account. From there, go to manage devices. It will give you a list of all the computer that are authorized to use your account. This will allow you to choose which ones you want to delete.

My other problem is that the original account is on the computer that does not work and is linked to an email address that was hijacked. I can not get into that email account and therefor I can not change the email account that the original account is linked with. Do you have iTunes match? You need a computer to manage an iTunes match library.

Sorry but I'm really not to sure what I have. I'm not good with knowing my computer model. All I know is that its a MacBook running with Leopard. And everything else works fine. I love Safari. It's just my mail that doesn't work. Here's the message that pop up several times.

The only problem here is, even though I enter my password it doesn't do anything. It makes that message go away for about 3-5 mins. After that it pops right back up. And I can't even go into my preference and change my email password. So I don't know what to do.

First, the G4 must be able to start to use FWTDM. If it can start, hold the t key at boot until you get a "screensaver pattern" that looks like this:
If the G4 is attached via a FireWire cable to a newer Mac with a FireWire port, the G4's hard drive will appear on the other Mac's desktop just as if it were any external drive. A USB cable won't work for FWTDM.

No. ATA (actually "PATA" or "IDE") and SATA are different interfaces. PATA external enclosures are now very hard to find. You best and least expensive option is the adaptor that BDAqua linked. One of its connectors is for PATA drives.

ITunes 12 - "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised" feature no longer works

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I've been having.
Since updating to iTunes 12, the 'Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised' feature no longer works. When I add media to the library, iTunes doesn't copy it to a destination within my media library. It only works if I turn the feature off, and then back on again.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't use the feature myself, but it works properly in a test library for me.
It could possibly be a permissions issue. Different processes in iTunes seem to make use of either the system or the user account for file actions and it is just possible that which has been used in that case has changed. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for details.
