How To: I want a frame on a transparent canvas

I'm not sure this is the place to ask a How To question. If not, please pardon the space I am using.
I want to create a frame (with a drop shadow) on a transparent canvas, and have the inside of the frame transparent as well. I can create a New document that is transparent, but the only way I see to put a 'frame' on it is to draw the 4 sides (4 rectangles). This does not work very well when you add drop shadows to the two sides that require them.
I will then import this into Premiere Pro and place a vdeo clip behind the Photoshop document, framing the clip inside the 'frame'.
I know this is a Premiere Pro forum. . . and I'll ask the How To Photoshop question in the Photoshop forum, but I thought if there was another way to create a frame inside of Premiere Pro, for the effect of framing a video clip . . . I would ask here.

Zoom was not checked. When I check it, it simply zooms in on the image (does not change the cropping).

I believe it is an MPEG-2 file. I've been working on several different formats and I've been up since 4 AM.

I suppose I would have to render an image of what I'm talking about to the computer, then use the little camera button? Here is the image without the effect turned on. The one above, the effect is ON.
Are you using hardware MPE? Any graphics in play (other than the title)? Not sure what MPE is (I suppose I could Google it), but not knowing pretty much assures I'm not using it. Not other graphics. In these screen shots, only the video clip is in play, nothing else below or above, no titles.
This is what I am going for, but without the drop shadow landing on the clip. The image below is the clip with the Crop effect turned OFF.

Most pages have layouts for pictures only or pictures with text boxes. Either select the same layout for that page but the one without the text box or put a space in the text box.
Putting a space in the text box will avoid getting the warning when ordering that there's an unfilled text box in the book. The box will not be visible in the final product. You can and should check the book before ordering by previewing it as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it

Creating GIF images, how do I edit all frames at once?

Hey everyone. So I now how to make GIF images already. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to figure out how to edit all the frames at once. I would like to brighten them up and add curves, maybe sharpen.
I tried selecting all the layers, but then all the image editing options greyed out and weren't available.
I really don't want to individually edit 58 frames, lol.
Is there a way to edit all at once?
PS - I'm using Photoshop CS3, if that helps!

How do I open a frame in a new window or tab?

I want to be able to open frames into their own tabs or window... So how do you do this, or is Firefox NOT CAPABLE of this... i.e. it's LAME and should be shot? (=:]

Basically... I right click, and a context menu pops up... and there is no option for what I want to do... basically because the frame is so small, and the frame table for this particular site is set to fixed... so you can't resize them... so it's almost impossible to read. If only I could easily click and open in a new window or tab...
I mean... yeah, I can VIEW SOURCE by hand, manually, and find grope the freaking HTML until I find the desired frame URL... but Uhh... likee that's really inefficient, and a waste of time and frankly gives me a headache...
There's got to be an easy way to do this... either with a setting, which I fail to know about, or by a plugin or extension... or by tweaking the source code... but I'm not a programmer, so I'm handicapped there.

If you right-click and don't see a context menu item that says '''This Frame''', that page isn't made with Frames; I-frames aren't "Frames". Unless you have an extension installed that is messing up your context menus ....

It sounds as if you want the button to open a dialog that displays your data such as a JOptionPane and not a JFrame.

There is no support in the SDK for adding your own panels.

I am using Photoshop CS5

Make a new document, choose transparent for background col, and the appropriate video preset..
Switch to the rectangle tool and draw your frame as a shape layer
Change the fill to 0% in the layers palette
Choose Layer >> Layer Style >> Stroke (make the stroke as thick as you need
Check the Drop Shadow box
The only problem you may have is the strokes in photoshop have rounded corners(once larger than 1 pixel), and you cannot avoid this with the stroke layer style. I have been trying for many adobe beta's to get this changed.
You can though get around this by drawing your outer shape layer rectangle, then switch your mode to subtract (the third icon in the middle of the bar of 5 icons), then draw the inner frame to subtract. You will not need a stroke layer style and leave your fill to 100% opacity in this option.

If the frame has a lot of movement between the fields you may want to deinterlace first. To do this go modify>make freeze frame. This loads the frame into the viewer as a still. You can then apply the deinterlace filter and then export as advised above.

Generally your actionListener will be an internal class of your main frame class. Usually an anonymous internal class. That means it can act on variables in the frame (which is the sensible place to keep the flags).
Something like:

If we're dealing with a genuine InternalFrame there's a special InternalFrameListener (?) which allows your main frame to listen for the window closing. You can use this instead of hacking the dispose method.
If you're main frame is a JDeskTop then you can use getDesktop() in your internal frame to access it, then cast the result to the real class of your desktop.
Our you can simply add a pointer to your class1 to the contructor of your internal frame class.
You could even get clever and create your own listener system.

to add frames: right click on frame 100 and click insert frame or insert keyframe or insert empty keyframe. if you select all the frames (press and drag) in all the layers, you can do this once to add frames to all the layers you want to extend.
to remove frames: right click and click remove frame.

For this code to work, you need to empty the first frame and place all the photos a frame ahead. Then, place this code on the first frame. DONE!

Here is one way to do it, although you will see there could be variations.
1) Open iMovie
2) Start a new project - name it Stills for iPhoto (or a name of your choice)
3) Go to your EVENT. Find the spot with the cursor that you want a photo of. Right-click (or control-click if you don't have a mouse) and select ADD STILL FRAME TO PROJECT.
4) The photo should be in the Project called Stills for iPhoto.
5) Right-click (control-click) on the photo and select REVEAL IN FINDER.
6)When the finder window opens, right-click and select COPY. Go to your Desktop or a folder of your choice and right-click PASTE
7) Drag the photo from your Desktop to iPhoto

In Inspector, select the Graphic Inspector. Choose, from the Fill options, Image Fill. Select the image from the dropdown and click Open. Now go back to Inspector and click on Scale to Fit. Choose from the options in the window. There are a number of them which should address your problem:
With the Blog template, you will probably need to insert a text box over the stock placement frame and work with that instead.
