How to identify which TAB is current

Question

I have an application with one-level
tabs (5 in total). If all these tabs share
the same page (like you have 5 servers and you want
to show the same type of information on each of
them), how do I pass in the TAB information to my
SQL report? So basically I use one generic report (a page)
for all of them. When I navigate from one to the other,
how to assign a different value to an item so that I
use it to generate the report?

When the tab submits the page, you could capture the request value using an after-submit (before computations) process, e.g.   begin
    :CURRENT_REQ := :REQUEST; -- CURRENT_REQ is an application-level item that you create
  end;The page will then branch back to itself and the query can use the value of CURRENT_REQ.
Of course you'll have to deal with situations where that item's value is not reliable, e.g., the user navigated to the report page without using a tab.
