How to implement an online recorder?

Hello everyone,
We would like to offer our site users an online recording
tool. This means, any user who registers on our forum will be able
to record an audio file and automatically store it in their
account.
Which Adobe products do we need for this project?

On Apache (and I would guess others) you don't need to be the System Admin to do this, just edit the .htaccess file. (Google for details).As I'm no sysAdmin on that server, this option could ignored. ;)
If I call that information via PHP... the file suffix is .php and not .jnlp, so I wonder how that should work... But I'm gonna ask google for some further details on that... ;)

The primary limitation you will encounter when trying to do high speed
digital I/O using your E-Series hardware is that the digital lines are
all software timed. This means that for each and every digital
read it is necessary for your software to issue a command to your
hardware, read a single point, then receive the response from the
board. This prevents you from performing digital operations at
very high speed. In general, I would say that 100 microseconds is
a very good response using software-timed digital I/O on a Windows
computer.
It is difficult to make a good recommendation without more detail about
what you are trying to do. You may need to consider switching to
a Real-Time operating system, or upgrading your DAQ hardware to a board
that will allow you to time your digital acquisitions on the board
itself. These devices, such as the m-Series DAQ or the PCI-653x
series, would allow you to use hardware triggers for your digital
acquisitions, change detection, and buffered data acquisitions to
reduce the software overhead involved in a rapid acquisition.

Are you looking for Push and Pull mechanism of PI?
When the adapters like SOAP, HTTP, IDOC, etc. send the data to PI , it is nothing but a push mechanism, and hence the communication is synchronous by default.
But adapters like JDBC, File, etc. they fetch the data from Source Applications, so it is a kind of Pull mechanism for PI, and
by default communication is asynchrnous.
Pls elaborate exactly what are you looking for?

How to Implement a Time Limit Feature in an Online Test Application ?

I am creating an Online Test application. The time limit can be stored for a Test in the database.
How to implement a time limit such that when the test is started (user clicks on the Start button to go to the fragment containing the Questions) the time left is shown and the test ends (goes to home page) when the timer reaches zero.

Hi,
timestamp is a date and thus cannot be used directly to determine seconds passed. So what you need to do is to build the difference between a saved time stamp and the current time.

So if you have two time stamps, then calling getTime() on each and building the difference gives you a value, which is millisecond. So to get this to an int value you divide it by 1000

I am using Oracle Forms 6i. Now I have a table of records having a column header in a custom form. Now I want to sort that column data by clicking on the column header (showing an arrow mark of asc/desc while I press the button). How to implement this? A sample code will be very helpful.

How to track current online users in OID?

Hello,
Is there any way to track the number of current online users in OID?(or 10Gas) therefore, I could find out who is online and how many people are online. Does OID provide the feature? Or, I have to write a Java class to record it when a user logon? what if the user doesn't logout and the seesion is timeout?

Actually I want to implement it in OWB. But after I got the answer from you, I decided to do in some othere way.
The way you mentioned is right when we are performing the operations directly on a table.
But in my scenario, an intermediate data is generating. I want to perform lag over operation on those records. Its possible by view.
So for performing operations for intermediate result, Oracle is providing Table Function concept. I can pass the result to it.
But the problem again is, how to implement the lag over operation there.
Any idea.?

I don't have a clue on how to implement the Auto Suggest Widget.

I am sorry to ask again. I am not at all familiar with xml.
I have tried to modify the ASP script you've suggested, but I get strange XML error, which doesn't make sense to me.
I understand that with the script the server creates an XML File on the fly. First I have to connect to my access database, then I fill the records into a recordset object. And then the server loops through the RS and creates the xml file. Is that correct?
The error message I get, points to a complete different place in the code, to a javascript module, which is working perfectly without below code.
Any suggestions where the bug is?

My scenario is that I have 2 operative systems providing customer information, a staging area and a dwh with a customer dimension with SCD type 2 (created within OWB).
The oltp data is already transferred to the staging area. But how should the mapping for the dwh table look like? Which operators have to be used?
I have to check whether the customer record is new or just updated. How can I check every attribute? A new record shall be loaded, an updated record shall be historized (as I configured it in the SCD type 2). I just don't know how the trigger of the SCD is activated. Do I have to try an update on the trigger attribute and then automaticalle a new record is created? But with which operator can I do this? How should the mapping look like? Or is this impossible and do I have to implement this functionality with SQL code only?
I know how to implement this with SQL code, but my task is to implement this in OWB.
As you see I did not understand the logic of OWB so far and I hope somebody can help me.

How to implement the pessimistic locking using toplink with sybase

we want to allocate the unique primary key to each row when many user try to insert the records concurrently..So what we are trying to do is we calculate the maximum of Primary Key and incremented it by 1. Now we want to Apply the locking concept on the so that unique key will be allocated to each newly inserted row
Can you please tell me
1. how we can genrate unique primary key in toplink using sybase?
2.how to implement the pessimistic or optimistic locking ?which one will be preferable?
