How to ... implement characteristic validation forbidden infocube update?

Hi Gurus,

I build up and exit function.It gives an error message when this combination of characteristic be done, but then if the user push save button the information is update into the infocube.
Someone can help me? how to ...implement this validation forbidden the update into the infocube?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
I'm using the web Interface. In order to execute the planning function when the save button is pressed I implement the follow how to:
<a href="http://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e032e790-0201-0010-8bae-f9bc2b1e5aaa">How To... Run Planning Sequences on Save and other events (web)</a>
On the other side the message given back for the planning function is an error message.
Even though I can save data into the infoprovider.
Since you confirm to me that the standard behavior is the wished one, I'm going to continue by this way in order to obtain the desired result.
Thanks a lot.

  • My Proxy: How to implement a validation before insert/update

    Hi,
    In my env, the OIM User has an attribute called Employee Grade. When the user is configuring My Proxy, he/she can select users who grade who has grade equals or higher... I created a Rule Generator adapter and I tried to assign it to the Pre-Insert of Users.Proxy data object. Problem: There is no field availabe for this entity and I thought it was related to the table PXD (PXD_ORIG_USR_KEY and PXD_PROXY_KEY).
    If I could access those fields, I would search the proxy user by PXD_PROXY_KEY and get he/she grade. After that, compare with the grade of the original user.
    I alse have to iimplement the same logic when the user reasign a task to another user.
    Have you ever implemented that or have any idea?
    Thanks,
    Renato Guimaraes.
    Edited by: Renato.Guimaraes on 05/10/2009 13:58 - Implement the same logic to reassign task

    One option is to implement the proxy funtion as a separate RO. Makes it possible to do validation in the approval process but will force you to manually implement any functionality that you would like to have associated with the function.
    Probably not easier than a GUI customization but I wanted to mention the option.

    but both of them are letters is not allowed.
    how to implement it?

    Thanks.

    Hello,
    Do you just want to display them as red or also validate on them?
    If its just display, you can try this:
    Set both fields to autoSubmit="true" and immediate="true"
    set the styleclass to depeding on the values like this:
    styleClass="#{bindings.A.inputValue == bindings.B.inputValue ? 'AFFieldText': 'customErrorStyleClass'}"-Anton

  • HOW TO IMPLEMENT SCREEN VALIDATION IN LDB?

    Hi,
    I am making use of Logical Database in my report, and I want to do screen validation with the screen which already exists in the system? Is it possible to do so? If yes, then how? The LDB, I am using is PSJ.
    Also, I would like to know, can we define our own selection screen incase of LDB? How is that possible if the answer is yes to it.BUt here I am not talking about dynamic selection screen. What I mean to say is that..., can we restrict the selection screen in LDB, by defining the fields which are required in the selection screen on execution of the report?
    Someone, please guide.
    Points will be rewarded for a satisfactory answer.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,..
    Chk out the link - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/60/183d78163011d2953c0000e8353423/frameset.htm
    Yes, we can define our own selection screen and that will come right below your LDB selection screen.
    AND also LDB selection screen can be restricted ..for this you have to code in PBO of report for hiding the elements which u don't required.

  • How do i skip process validations and still update the model?

    how do i skip process validations and still update the model? This has got to be a bug or a really huge design flaw. And no I don't want to using 'binding' to bind to every component on my form just so I can set its value. I just want to use value binding.
    Perhaps there should be a FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().updateModel() method?

    how about if I want clear the form or load a new model:
    <h:commandButton action="#{customer.clear_action}" immediate="true" value="clear" />
    <h:commandButton action="#{customer.load_action}" immediate="true" value="load" />
    public void clear_action() {
    Customer c = new Customer();
    this.setBean("customerModel",c);
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    context.renderResponse();
    public void load_action() {
    Customer c = new Customer(1000);
    this.setBean("customerModel",c);

  • How to implement Dynamic form validation

    Hello,
    I've been reading up on the forums about using the htmldb.item package to dynamically create form elements using a SQL query. Assuming I can generate the form dynamically, what approaches/options are available for implementing dynamic validation of the form elements themselves?
    Thanks in advance

    You could write a page-level 'PL/SQL Function Body returning error text' validation where you loop over your dynamic form elements (htmldb_application.g_fnn), check the values and raise errors as needed.

  • How to implement the Session ManageMent in OracleADF .

    Hi I am New to ADF, In my application i have requirement like, I Have a JSPX login page,which contain 4 taskflows as a regions(like AddEmp,DeleteEmp,Create New Dept,Delete Emp), based on the type of user login,i want give different responsibilities(ADF Security, for example a normal employe cant Edit the Other Employe information only HR can do the Edit ), for those who logged in i want to use Session.
    Every Time When the user Request the resource it has to check for the session validation.
    i know in JEE How to implement Sessions but i don't know in ADF .
    Thanks in Advance...

    Hi,
    have a look here http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/AdfSecurity/AdfSecurity.html
    Its a video about ADF Security that explains how you can use custom Resource Permissions for any kind of user authorization, plus the on-board page and task flow permission. Note that the session has nothing to do with authorization. All a session can be is authenticated after which users are associated with enterprise roles, which then are mapped to permissions (through application roles in ADF Security). So session management is not what you are looking for in this case.

  • How to Implement BW in IT Service Desk/IT Help Desk /IT Complain Surveillance Dept/IT Customer Support Dept?

    Hi
    If a organization have 200 to 300 daily complains of there IT equipment/Software/Network e.t.c.
    How to Implement BW in IT Service Desk/IT Help Desk /IT Complain Surveillance Dept/IT Customer Support Dept?
    Is there any standard DataSources/InfoObjects/DSOs/InfoCubes etc. available in SAP BI Content?

    Imran,
    The point I think was to ensure that you knew exactly what was required. A customer service desk can have many interpretations from a BI perspective.
    You could have :
    1. Operational reports - calls attended per shift , Average number of calls per person , Seasonality in the calls coming in etc
    2. Analytic views - Utilization of resources , Average call time and trending , customer satisfaction , average wait time
    3. Strategic - Call volumes corresponding to campaigns etc , Employee churn and related call times
    Based on these you would then have to construct your models which would be populated by data from the MySQL instance for you to report.
    Else if you have BWA you could have data discovery instead or if you have HANA - you could do even more and if you have a HANA sidecar - you technically dont need BW. The possibilities are virtually endless - it depends on how you want to drive it and how the end user ( client ) sees value in the same.

  • How to implement a single sign on  feature using java.

    Hi,
    I have a question like , How to implement **single sign on** feature in java without using any third party framework or tool like LDAP or any other which is available in the market.
    Actually the situation is i have all security information into the table and those information is used for single sign on . If a user logged in from a jsp loging page all the security role should be assigned to that particular user.
    We can do this using LDAP but i am not supposed to use the LDAP or any third party tool . I have to write a java class for that .
    please suggest me the method , how to implement this in a web application.

    you could setup a token that specifies a user is authenticated. other applications that u want SSO can check for existance of this token
    if it is HTTP - you can save the token as a cookie and downstream apps look for this token
    yr code needs to validate that the token/cookie was indeed a valid one and not subject to man-in-the middle attack.

    AT SELECTION-SCREEN - selscreen_event
    Syntax
      | { ON {para|selcrit} }
      | { ON END OF selcrit }
      | { ON BLOCK block }
      | { ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP radi }
      | { }
      | { ON {HELP-REQUEST|VALUE-REQUEST}
      |   FOR {para|selcrit-low|selcrit-high} }
      | { ON EXIT-COMMAND }.
    Alternatives:
    1. ... OUTPUT
    2. ... ON {para|selcrit}
    3. ... ON END OF selcrit
    4. ... ON BLOCK block
    5. ... ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP radi
    6. ... { }
    7. ... ON {HELP-REQUEST|VALUE-REQUEST} FOR
          {para|selcrit-low|selcrit-high} }
    8. ... ON EXIT-COMMAND
    Effect
    These additions allow individual evaluation of specific elements of the selection screens of the program. The information as to which selection has triggered the event is contained in the system field sy-dynnr.
    Alternative 1
    ... OUTPUT
    Effect
    This event is triggered at the screen event PBO of a selection screen. In the event block, the selection screen can be prepared through assignments to the data objects of parameters and selection criteria and through dynamic screen modifications.
    Note
    The assignments to input fields in the event block AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT always affect the selection screen and overwrite the user inputs from previous displays of the same selection screen. Assignments in the event blocks LOAD-OF-PROGRAM oder INITIALIZATION, on the other hand, only have an effect at first program start.
    Alternative 2
    ... ON {para|selcrit}
    Effect
    This event is triggered at the screen event PAI of a selection screen if the content of the input field of a parameter para or a line of a selection criterion selcrit was passed to the ABAP program. In the event block, the user input can be checked. Sending a warning or an error message in the event block makes the fields para and selcrit ready for input again.
    No parameter that is defined as a radio button can be specified. For this purpose, the addition ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP is provided.
    Note
    If a user action takes place in the dialog box for the multiple selection of a selection criterion selcrit, the entries of the selection table are passed to the program, line by line. For each line, the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON selcrit is triggered.
    Alternative 3
    ... ON END OF selcrit
    Effect
    This event is triggered after the selection table selcrit has been fully passed to the program after a user action in the dialog box for the multiple selection has taken place. In the event block, the entire selection table can be checked.
    Alternative 4
    ... ON BLOCK block
    Effect
    This event is triggered at the screen event PAI of a selection screen if all the input fields of a block block of the selection screen were passed to the ABAP program. In the event block, the user inputs can be checked. Sending a warning or an error message in the event block makes all the fields of the block block ready for input again.
    Alternative 5
    ... ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP radi
    Effect
    This event is triggered at the screen event PAI of a selection screen if all the fields of a radio button group radi of the selection screen were passed to the ABAP program. In the event block, the user input can be checked. Sending a warning or error message in the event block makes all the radion buttons of the block radi ready for input again.
    Note
    The individual fields of a radio button group are not passed individually and do not trigger the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON par.
    Alternative 6
    Effect
    The event AT SELECTION-SCREEN itself is triggered as the last event of selection screen processing if all the input values were passed to the program. In this event block, all the user inputs can be checked. Sending a warning or an error message in the event block makes all the screen fields ready for input once again.
    Alternative 7
    ... ON { HELP-REQUEST | VALUE-REQUEST } FOR
        {para|selcrit-low|selcrit-high} }
    Effect
    The two events ON HELP-REQUEST and ON VALUE-REQUEST are triggered at the screen events POH and POV of a selection screen if - for the input field of a parameter para or one of the input fields of a selection criterion selcrit - the field help F1 or the input help F4 was called. Other selection events are not triggered.
    In the event blocks, a self-defined field or input field can be programmed, which overrides any helps possibly defined in the ABAP Dictionary.
    Notes
    These event blocks can only be implemented for fields of the selection screen that are defined in the same ABAP program and not in a possibly linked logical database.
    With the events for the field and input help, no data is transported between the selection screen and the ABAP program. As with general screens, suitable function modules must be used for these. The parameters and selection criteria changed for the input help are transported to the selection screen.
    Alternative 8
    ... ON EXIT-COMMAND
    Effect
    This event is triggered if the user has called one of the functions Back, Exit or Cancel. In the event block, possible clean-up actions can be executed.
    Example
    In these executable programs, a standard selection screen and a further selection screen are defined. In the event blocks AT SELECTION-SCREEN, the inputs in the selection screens can be specially handled using the name p_carrid and the screen number in sy-dynnr.

  • How to implement this function in JSP/Servlet env?

    Hi all,
    I working on a project, it provides functionality to upload file using JSP/Servlet. In the first JSP page, there is file location and submit button. After user select a file to upload and click submit button, a message, like "sending file to XXXX", will be shown on the screen. Once uploading and validation are done on the server-side, a successful/error msg will be shown to user.
    Here I have a question for the "sending..." msg and the successful/error msg. They should be put in one jsp page or in two separate page? how to implement them?
    Thanks for any help!
    Tranquil

    For the sending message... Well, the thing is, when you click submit, it's sending the file to the server and the server is processing it, and this is all done before the "complete" page is sent to the server. So one would need to use some Javascript on the page before the actual submit happens to show some message. This is done on Ebay when you put something for sale, you can upload an image, and there is a little popup message telling you that it's uploading, and it is removed when the process is done. Now, I'm not sure the exact details of how this works, but my educated guess is this:
    1) The onsubmit function of the form checks that the file upload fields have a value (no need to popup a message if no file upload, since that's what usually takes the time, although it could just be assumed there is a file). If a file is to be uploaded, or just want to show the message anyway, a new popup window is opened with the window.open method and the "sending" message is shown (either written via Javascript or just load a small web page to the window).
    2) The popup window, since you can't transfer the window object from the form page to the next page, has to check window.opener for some value that the success/error page would have to set. The success/error page could use it's body onload function to set a variable in it's own window object to denote that the page is loaded. The popup window can use a looping check using setTimeout or setInterval in Javascript to check for window.opener.isLoadedVariable to be present, and if so, close itself.
    I've never done that, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

    Hi,
    first i have created a procedure witht he following code in the code editor...
    BEGIN
    Declare
    Cursor C_brand_col is
    Select cat from TBL_CAT_EDESC_BRAND ;
    Vbrand varchar2(240);
    Cursor C_bredesc_col is
    Select EDESC_BRAND from TBL_CAT_EDESC_BRAND;
    Vbredesc varchar2(240);
    V_Command varchar2(30000);
    Begin
    Open C_brand_col;
    Fetch C_brand_col into vbrand;
    Open C_bredesc_col;
    Fetch C_bredesc_col into vbredesc;
    loop
    V_Command := 'update sav_fc_sa_pc c set c.'||vbrand||'=';
    V_Command := V_Command||'(select d.fc_brands_sa from TEST_brand d' ;
    V_Command := V_Command||' where d.brand_edesc = '||''''||vbredesc||''''||' and c.cardno=d.cardno)';
    dbms_output.put_line('10 '||V_command);
    Execute immediate v_command;
    Fetch C_brand_col into vbrand;
    Exit when c_brand_col%notfound;
    Fetch C_bredesc_col into vbredesc;
    Exit when c_bredesc_col%notfound;
    end loop;
    commit;
    end;
    END;
    then i validate it and deply it..
    after that i create a mapping and in that mapping i first import the table TBL_CAT_EDESC_BRAND and drag and drop it into the mapping and again the i put the procedure into a transformation operator and connect the inoutgrp of the table to the transformation operator ingrp deploy it and run it...this is taking a lot of time .... so i am not sure whether i am doing the right thing...for this dynamic sql i dont need to pass any parameters. can i juz execute this procedure or should i create a mapping ???? i am totally confused... could you please help me.....how to proceed........
    if i juz execute the dynamic sql it takes only 5 min in sql but i am not sure how ti implement it in owb... can you please help...
    Thanks a many
