How to implement the Export to Excel funtionality in VC like in Webdynpro

Hi
I have requirement to display the BAR charts, Pie charts ,Line graphs based on the data retreiving from the R/3 thorgh VC.
I hope it is possible .
i have requirement like exporting the data whichis pulled from the R3 to display those charts, this data need to be exported to the Excel sheet by providing the button in VC. Like same way we have the privision in WEbdynpro exporting table data to excell sheet.
How to implement the same thing in VC,
Can any body help me

I have copied same formula which is given in that doc. now i have added one field
REPTNAME. Now i have come from that problem. Formula showin as valid. when i click on check button.
Now when i compile , i havnt got any any but when click on deploy i am getting the following error.

I have an issue an implementing the "Exporting the Table data to Excel."
My VC version is 7.0
Portal version NW 2004s.
By refering the following link, i have implemented Export To Excell functionality in VC.

By refering to 7th page in the document. It is explained to add the data source object from the 'info' port and add the field called 'RAPTNAME'to the DATA source object.
But the RFC object which i added to the story board, i havent find any 'info' port in my added RFC. But still i have added the data store object and added field. then

My question is, Is that 'info' port is mandatory for implementing the export functionality?
what is that 'info'port? what it contains?
If i ask my ABAPER to add that 'info' port , he asked me , what is that, what information i need to provide the to u in that?

Hi Benni,
I am able to come out from the deployment error, i am able to run the application. After i run the application . once i click on the button 'ExportToExcel' i am getting the following error.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Could not find portal application com.sap.ip.bi.service.generic.
Exception id: 05:32_01/05/07_0001_18800950
See the details for the exception ID in the log file

We are having an issue with negative numbers downloading as text field in excel 2007, works fine in excel 2003.
We are on version 11.1.1.7.0 of OBIEE.

I would recommend you to have a look at the VI attached. It makes use of a VI named 'Read from Spreadsheet' to read the row and column data from the tab delimited excel file. The read data is then searched for the Alphabet specified and finally returns you the corresponding string. The test file used to validate the operation of the VI is also attached.

Instead of copy values into forms you can save them in your temporary table.

The FM 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' makes it possible to load a worksheet into an internal table in ABAP.
However, if you want to get the data from several worksheets, I think you are stuck with OLE access to your Excel Workbook...
You can find a solution for 2 worksheets in this post :

I think you can easily modify it to handle any number of worksheets.
