What sort of edits are you talking about? Reader users are pretty much limited to filling form fields and adding comments/markups. They cannot edit the regular page contents, add/remove pages, and most other types of modifications to the document.

I am wanting to create a DVD that has say for example 10 individual buttons for the 10 different videos (tracks), but want to be able to select just the videos I want to watch out of the 10, for example videos 1, 5 and 8.
Is there a way that this can be done in DVD SP? I know i've seen it done of other training/lesson DVDs where you can go back to videos you want to specifically look at rather than having to skip to the ones you are after.
So simply, is there some kind of script or something to help me achieve this?

As Drew said - follow that link and you'll get a few files to download that will help. You are describing a video jukebox and this is not at all easy, by any stretch of the imagination. It involves scripting at a pretty high level, using bit based maths.
Having said that, the tutorial from the link should get you heading in the right direction. Come back and let us know if you need more help with it.

When I'm importing into itunes, sometimes I can edit information, sometimes not

when I'm importing into itunes, sometimes I can edit the information sometimes it doesn't allow changes. my permissions on the drive are 'read & write', also the itunes folder. but as I said, sometimes I can edit. things I can't edit end up in 'unknown' folder, so I've started making playlist that I put cd's into. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

In iMovie, on the middle toolbar you should see the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool.
Select your photo in the Project and use this tool to select FIT to keep the entire picture and fill the extra space with black bars (letterboxing). Use CROP to make the picture fill the frame by chopping off the top ad bottom. Choose Ken Burns to create a motion effect.

Did you know you can Edit Buttons??

OK, who knew that you can EDIT the buttons on the bottom of the screen in You Tube and Music? Can rearrange or replace with different buttons. Is this New News, or was everyone aware of this already and I'm late for the party?

On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account?

I'm signed up to the Cloud and itunes match - the whole game. But I cam getting annoyed with having to delete songs one by one on my iPhone once dowloaded from the cloud as I only have a 16GB phone....yes I listen to music non-stop! You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

For the benefit of others who may read this thread:
Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.

I don't have a camcorder. The footage I want to work on is on a dvd. Is it possible to import it and if yes how? When I open the DVD on my desktop, I have two folder. One audio and one video. The files extension in the video folder are .bup .ifo .vob. Is it possible to convert the files without loosing quality?

Basically you need to encode the DVD's MPEG2 file to a format FCE understands, like DV/HDV
You can use software like MPEG Streamclip or DVxDVD to do this

You should be aware that it is against US federal law to break the encryption used on the DVD. To import the DVD you must break the encryption. Therefore it is against the law to import a DVD to your hard drive. That is why the Apple "service guy" didn't give you more information.

I've got a band performance on DVD that I want to import and add a reworked soundtrack to (that I've done in GB).
I've loaded the DVD and it plays the DVD but I can't work out how to import what I'm seeing on the DVD into iMovie. I try to import but can't find the DVD "file".

This isn't the best forum for your question Zoomman.
But if the DVD is protected, you might need something like Mac the Ripper and Hand brake (MtR to extract, HB to convert to QT files) to get the video you want off of the DVD.

Also, as well as HandBrake you could try ffmpegx which will give you better quality as you can convert the MPEG2 files into DV and import it directly into FCE.
It is Shareware. You can use it free of charge but if you find it extremely useful they would like you to make a payment - I think it is $15.

One of the most common questions on this forum. The Search feature would have resulted in lots of info.
Basically you need to convert the DVD's MPEG2 format to a video format FCE can work with, like DV or HDV
You can use software solutions like MPEG Streamclip or DVxDVD to do the conversion. MPEG Streamclip is free but you need to purchase Apple's MPEG Playback Component to make it work
If you have a DV cam with pass thru capabilities, you can also try hooking the DVD player to the cam via analog cable then hooking the cam to the puter via Firewire. You would then select FCE's DV Converter easy setup and use Capture Now
No matter which solution you use, you may experience some quality loss when you go back to DVD

If I select the task, it is displaying some details about that task with approve, reject,..... buttons. and in the right side, under "you can also:", View history link is there by default. If i want to add/display a new link under this, where can i make the changes?
If i see this in backend, that link is displaying. whereas in portal, that link is not appearing.
