How to import a Verisign SSL Certificates into WebAccess

I attempted tp follow the Novell TID:
How to Import a CSR generated by GWCSRGEN (10091564).
Whenever I attempt an import according to the above TID, I get the following error message 'Failed to store the root certificate into the object VeriSignCert.xxxxx.xxx.xxx. Returned error code is -1,240.
The Novell Certificate Server Snap-In to Netware Administrator or Console One could not parse the certificate or extract the mandatory elements from the certificate.

  • Renew Verisign ssl certificate for webaccess

Hi, We have just had our current Verisign ssl certificate expire.
We are running Groupwise 7.03 - on our cluster agents and postoffices & gwia.
The webaccess application is running on a Netware 6.5 sp5 - which is running Apache ver 2.0.54 & Tomcat 4 and also has tomcat5 in the DMZ.
I have come across a number of support Tids about renewing ssl into edir, but i am looking for some steps to run through regarding WEBACCESS.
My web app team have just bought a new verisign ssl certicate.
What do i do from here to renew the webaccess application with the new Verisign ssl certificate.
Anything that can help with this regarding webaccess and verisign ssl renew certifcaite instruction steps would be helpful.
    regards

  • How to import a self signed certificate into Firefox from the windows store properly.

I am currently trying to get a wcf service that runs on the same machine as the browser that is making the request. Since the connection is between a browser and an application running on the same machine security was orginally not a concern and it seemed fine to leave the request on http. The first issue arrised when Firefox did not allow mixed content calls (The website making the requests uses https). I have the service converted fine to run with Chrome and IE in https, but not for Firefox due to its use of a seperate store.
For the windows store I created one CA cert which then issues the self signed cert which is then binded to a port I have the WCF service listening on (In my case this is: https://localhost:8502).
This all needs to be done progammatically so I can't manually Add an Exception (which does work).
If there was a way to use certutil (I am not very addept at using this tool at all) to add this exception it would be very helpful.
The other method I have tried is exporting the selof signed cert and then importing it. Using IIS I can only export the file as .pfx which I can't seem to import into the Servers tab in the certificates interface (I assume this is the right location for it since the exception adds it here). I extracted the certificate from the port through code and imported it to the store, but it does not seem have the extra column defining the port like the exception cert does (It does not work wither).
How do I do this correctly? Or is it even possible to have a self signed cert bypass all this? I only have it using self signed certs since the service is just running on localhost.

    HI,
Adding an exception does work manually, but you would like to do this programmatically. This has more on the nSS functions [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Projects/NSS/Certificate_Download_Specification]
I have not tried this you can add it to the file cert8.db if you can insert it into each profile you can access? (For example copy the file after you have manually added it?) that would overwrite any uniqueness however- not good for preserving data.
The best advice would come from the security mailing list or the esr mailing list, that helps enterprise environments.

  • Installing Verisign SSL Certificate on NW 700 Java system

    Hello Experts,
For our NW700 Java system, we have got Verisign SSL Certificate. Installation instructions from Verisign says - we need to install Intermediate Certificate also along with SSL certificate for our Common Name.
Can you please let me know how we install Verisign SSL Certificate on NW700 JAVA system using Visual Admin.
    Instructions from Verisgn says:
    Install Intermediate Certificate on server.
    Install SSL certificate.
    Thanks
    Davinder

    Hello Patrick,
    Thanks for the information:
you created a keypair for SSL in the Key Store service interface in the Visual Administrator, generated a CSR response and sent it to Verisign. Now you have the CSR response from Verisign - is my understanding of the situation correct?
    Absolutely right
You can import this into the Key Store service, by highlighting the private key of the keypair and choosing 'Import CSR Response'. Now your key pair is signed.
    Successfully done.
After this i can see that PRIVATE KEY (IssueDN has been changed to Verisign)
But CERTIFICATE ISSUER DN is not changed.
Now if i try to access the site with https, able to do properly and if click on the Lock icon on the browser, i can see certificate is 3 Chained
Verisign Trial Secure Server Root CA - G2
----> Verisign Trial Secure Server CA - G2
----> -> Training.pearson.com (this is my Common Name)
So it looks to be working fine.
However there is no chain formed. You need to now follow the aforementioned note and export the private key and public key certificate separately by higlighting the private key and choosing 'Export'. Export with the 'Files of type' drop down box set to (*p8), and after exporting the private key you will be able to export the public key cert. This is step 6 and 7 of the note. Now follow steps 8-12 to form the chain
No Chains has been made in Visual Admin, and i tried these on another server - it works as you are saying.
But is there any benefit of importing Intermediate, Root Certificates - as mentioned in SAP note steps 8 to 12.
If yes, then is it mandatory to make the chain till 3rd level (means Root Certificate also).
Once the chain is loaded into the Key Store, you need to ensure that the Java dispatcher is configured to send the signed server certificate for the relevant SSL ports - see here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5c/15f73dd0408e5be10000000a114084/content.htm

  • How do you link a ssl certificate to your website created with adobe muse?

I would like to know how you can link a ssl certificate to a website created with Muse especially when you have created an ecormmerce website.

In Business Catalyst as well, SSL certificates cannot be added separately.
However (if you are looking to create payment mode secure), the payment pages in Business Catalyst already uses secure URL for the payment and you do not require a SSL certificate for them.
    Hope this helps.

  • Sequence tag error while importing the SSL certificate into ".keystore" fil

but while importing the SSL certificate it says like
"keytool error: java.security.cert.CertificateException: IOException: Sequence ta

    How to resolve this Error?
    can anyone help me?

    Hi,
I resolved this error by making it sure that there are no extra spaces or unwanted caracter copied while copying the certificate response from the CA. Make sure you are copying the certificate response properly. In my case, some extra space was getting copied so after re-copyinf it properly, it worked.

  • How to import 150 .mov (quicktime) clips into iMovie '11?

    Hello,
Newbie to iMovie and having some trouble.  My wedding videographer took off with my wedding footage (and the footage of 100 other couples.)  Through the police and some of my own detective work, I was able to seize my wedding footage and have it on an external hard drive.  I have already spent thousands of dollars trying to recoup my footage and now that I finally have it, I don't have the extra money to have it made into an actual movie/dvd.
All of the more than 150 clips are in .mov format and I am unable to import them into iMovie that way.  Any ideas on how to convert that many HD clips into a file that iMovie will recognize without losing video quality & sound?
    For tech info:
    iMac 10.8.3
    iMovie '11
    Clip Info:
    Dimensions: 1920x1080
    Codecs: H.264, Linear PCM
    Color Profile: 1-1-6
    Audio Channels: 2
Thanks for your help!  This community is a great amazing resource and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to offer suggestions.
    Katie

I did it!  I realized after 2 hours of it not working, that I was doing it 1 step wrong.  I was trying to import the actual file with all the clips, rather than just the clips themselves...  Silly error, and the import of .mov files into iMovie was seemelss..  Quality is great and didn't take long.  Thanks again.
