How to import an mp3 to GB3?

Hi,
I have an .mp3 that I would like to remix in GB3, but I don't know how to.
Everytime I bring it to GB3, it runs at its own speed, ignoring the BPM that GB is set to.
How doI fix this to be able to keep all the instruments I want to add in synch?

Have you tried simply dragging and dropping the actual audio file using Finder... into the arrange window? Make sure you drop it into either a blank space in the arrange area or onto an Audio track. When you drop the Audio file into a blank area, Logic will automtically create an Audio track for it...
This is how I normally do it without issue...

how can i import an mp3 to a Notification Ringtone under the "Sound Settings"? (i can do it to "Phone Ringtones" easy, but not Notifactions)

This might work as well and will allow drag and drop of mp3 files. This is written as if the phone is connected to the computer.
In the sd card, check if there is a folder called media. In the media folder verify or create a folder called audio. Within the audio folder create the following folders: alarms, notifications, and ringtones. These should be typed exactly as written. Copy or move the files into the folder you want them in. Disconnect the phone from the computer and let the remount the sd card. Now go into your notification or ringtones list. The files you put into the individual folders should automatically be there.
I know that this works on the Eris and I got the method back when only the eris and droid 1 was available. I just can't remember exactly where I got it. Hopefully it also works for the Droid 1.

    Hi to all,
I have a Problem. I organised since years my mp3 music in folders with subfolders and so on. I didnt create any playlists. Now i want to use itunes and ipod/ipone. How can i import a the complex mp3  folder strucutr in itunes and automated create playlists namend after this folders?
I understood how to import the music in the media library but i dont want to creat hundreds of playlists by hand.
    Maybe someone has a tip?
    Thank to all
    Andy

iTunes doesn't take any notice of your folder structure or provide any automatic way to use any information that might be coded in the path. Can you describe the current layout in a bit more detail and explain what you hope to achieve. It may be possible to use tools in other program's such as MediaMonkey or custom scripts to get the data from the file paths into something that iTunes can work with. The most important thing at this stage is not to import media to iTunes without first making sure under Edit > Preferences > Advanced that Keep iTunes Media folder organized and Copy to iTunes Media folder when adding to library are turned off otherwise iTunes may destroy your existing structure.

How to import mp3 files into Logic 7.2.1, without converting the file?
I have tried to make an mp3 with logic 7.2.1 and then improt it into logic again, and it still converts the **** file.
    Help needed here.
I thought importing mp3 files in Logic 7.2.1. without converting, was one of the new features???????

Logic imports mp4's (ACC and Apple Lossless Files) directly, without the need to convert to AIFF.
But some Mp3's will still need to be converted. It's all in the manuals... page 29 of the "what's New In Logic 7" PDF, as well as here:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/LogicPro_7.2_lbnz.pdf
The file size remains the same though, so I'm not sure I understand what the issue is...

  • How do i import an MP3 into Premiere pro CS3?

When i try to import a MP3 file, adobe gives me the error messege "file format not supported". I searched in the adobe help files and MP3s are listed under the "supported video and animation file formats". I read through a couple of the posts on this forum but none are of any help. I realize that MP3s are a compressed file format, but to my understanding, MP3s are allowed. Thanks.

Do you have the trial version of PrPro, or the full version?
As for MP3's, some work fine, but some just do not. Most often, the ones that will not work have something like embedded "album art," or similar, though not always.
I'd use SoundBooth, or the freeware, Audacity, to open the MP3's and then do a Save_As PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit file. Import that. [Edit] Actually, I'd use Audition, but you get the picture.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Importing large mp3

I am trying to edit down a seminar I recently recorded on a different recorder. So I have to import the mp3 into garageband. The mp3 size is 153.6mb, yes it is almost 3 hours long. Whenever I import this mp3, it appears to import correctly but then only shows up with 22 minutes worth of audio in the GB track. Is there a maximum file size for importing into GB that I am not aware of? OR does any one have any ideas of how I can get the full file imported?

  • How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone?

How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone?  I can physically copy the tunes as mp3's but the phone does not seem to be able to play all of them.   Do I need to copy an entire album or can I just pick & choose individual songs?   The phone is question is an LG running who knows what for an operating system.

AAC is Advanced Audio Coding.  Basically it's a format that sounds better than MP3 but doesn't take up as much space as a lossless format (like you'd have on a CD).  More than likely you've had that encoding turned on when you ripped your music into itunes (it's the default encoder).  Therefore your LG phone won't play them.
You need to turn off the AAC format by going to the iTunes menu, Preferences, General (at the top), then clicking the "Import Preferences" button.  Change the AAC Encoder to MP3 Encoder.  After that you'll have to make MP3 copies of your songs by right clicking them and selecting "Create MP3 Version."  You'll get a copy of the song that should transfer to your SD card and have MP3 encoding.  Hopefully your phone will play that.

  • How can I edit mp3 info w/o iTunes for free?

I just switched from a PC to a Macbook Pro. On my PC, I simply right-clicked on an mp3 file, clicked properties, & I edited all of the info contained within that mp3 file. Then, once cleaned up, I imported the mp3 files into iTunes. So now I want to edit some mp3 info on a bunch of mp3 files on my Macbook Pro before I import them into iTunes. I tried editing in the "Get Info" window, but it's not editable. So how can I do this? And how do I do this for free? I'd prefer not to have to download a program to do what seems like such a simple task, but If I have to use another program, I want something that is clean, simple, & free. Thanks.

    Hi Ingo,
Not sure that you read my entire entry. I want to edit the mp3 files BEFORE importing them into iTunes. I have dozens of albums & songs that are missing tons of info like title, artist, track #, etc, or the mp3 files have info in them that I don't want. I'd prefer to edit them & clean them all up first before importing them all into iTunes because they will just have blank boxes & they will all be grouped together at the bottom of my iTunes window, & I won't know which file is which. Right now they're in seperate folders, so I know which artist & album they are. maybe there's a way to do this in iTunes, but from my experience, I've always had trouble knowing which file is with which artist / album when I import several albums missing key info. That's why I like to add it before importing. I guess I could just import 1 album at a time, but that seems very time consuming. Let me know what you think.

  • How to import a .wav file for adding to a clip in imovie 09

I want to know how can we import a .wav file in Imovie 09.
The sound is in some location on my 2nd hard disc.
    I checked this page
    http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-import-audio-into-imovie-09-project s.navId-323836.html
but this does not help my requirement.
I have a video in which there was a lot of hiss recorded via camera I exported the audio and using some audio filtering softwares cleaned the sound and now I want to import this clean sound back to my imoive project.
It is a .wav file which is clean and without hiss.

I see.By the time I saw your msg I had done the same and opened Itunes to play.
There was an option in Imovie to import Itunes playlist or file and was able to do so.
Any one will guess as in File some import menu
should exist for this.In this case it was not that.
mp3 clip needs to be played in Itunes
where Itunes will make it a part of the mp3 library it has.
Then Imovie 09 has a way to import the shared playlist from itunes.

  • Anyone can teach me how to convert my MP3 song into Ringtone on my iPhone 5

Anyone could teach me how to convert my MP3 music in my iPhone 5 into Ringtone?

You can't do this directly within the device. Your media needs to be in an iTunes library on your computer. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device if necessary.
    Select your song.
On the Get Info > Options tab set start and stop times less than 40 seconds apart.
Under Edit > Preferences > General tab > Import Settings choose AAC Encoder > High Quality 128k.
Right-click on the song and select Create AAC version.
Reset the start and stop times on the original track.
Right-click on the new copy and click Show in Windows Explorer.
Change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. (You may need to adjust folder options to see the extensions)
Move the file into the Automatically Add to iTunes folder.
Delete the broken entry to the file that you renamed and moved.
