How to import Facebook albums to iPhoto '11

Hi,
I have iPhoto '11 installed on my MacBook white (mid 2010) with Lion. I connecyed iPhoto to my facebook account and I used it several times to upload new photos to Fb. This time I've imported 2 albums of photos to Fb from another computer and I'd like to import them to iPhoto on my Mac. I've tried accessing to Fb through iPhoto and I can see all my albums (even the ones I want to import) but there isn't any option that allows me to do that...at least none that I can see!
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

How many orders do you need to import one photo?
Perhaps you need to explain that again

  • Importing Facebook albums into iphoto.

    Hi all,
    I was wondering if it is possible to import my photo album names and details from Facebook into iphoto? I know I can go the other way and edit albums I have created in iphoto and then uploaded into Facebook. However, I cannot seem to add photos to albums that I created in Facebook via iphoto. For example, if I create an album in Facebook, I cannot seem to access this album in iphoto as I didn't create it within iphoto.

    Please see my write-up and video tutorial on a solution to your question. I had the same need so I came up with this method.

  • How to delete an album in IPhoto but keep the Facebook album intact!

    iPhoto/Facebook users - There is a solution to your problem! How to delete an album in iPhoto but not in Facebook!!!
    The problem: Every time you update the iPhoto album (which is synced with Facebook), the Facebook album will also update. If you delete your iPhoto pictures due to space or backup issues, this will also delete the pictures on Facebook.

  • Add Current Facebook Albums to iPhoto?

    Has anyone found a way to download your current facebook albums to iPhoto? I'd like to be able to do this so that I could add new pictures to them and have them sync back up to facebook instead of having to create new ones.

    I know this question has been tossed around a few times after looking at the existing threads, but I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to get iPhoto to recognize and sync an existing Facebook album without creating a new album and moving the photos over?
    no
    The problem with that is that I lose the initial post on the wall with the album and it also nullifies links I've shared via Twitter to the albums. I've even gone as far as look at possibly modifying the database data, but that seems pretty much impossible to do without corrupting it. I really like the idea of iPhoto syncing and managing Facebook albums, but it seems pretty ridiculous that I can't add existing albums regardless of the quality of the images in them. Anyone agree?

  • Import iPhone albums into iPhoto

    I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't seen anything related to this topic :
    I have set up custom albums on my iPhone, is there any way to import those albums into iPhoto? As of now, when I plug my phone in, iPhoto only gives me the option to import my photos from my phone in bulk, but has no information about the individual albums I've set up. Basically, I have a few albums with a couple hundred specific pictures that I needs to get in the computer without having to set them up from scratch in iPhoto. Is this possible?
    Thanks!

    Not really
    You can use PhotoStream and set it up to automatically import - place one album in the PS and then after it imports to the Mac flag the photos and create a new event from them or select them and create a new album form them

  • How do you import selected albums from iphoto?

    I'm new to Aperture, and want to start by importing only selected (ie my best) albums from iPhoto.
    I've tried File > Import > Show iPhoto Browser, and can highlight the album I want to import. But then what do I do?

    In my test, they came in managed. IMHO it's not a good idea to reference files inside the iPhoto library. I think it's a disaster waiting to happen.

  • Need to recover Facebook albums from iPhoto

    I was using my sisters MacBook to import photos from my iPhone to her iPhoto. She deleted ALL of the albums from her iPhoto, and it not only deleted the photos i had just imported, but it deleted ALL of my FACEBOOK ALBUMS!!!! How do I recover ALL of my Facebook Albums and photos i uploaded?

      but deleting iPhoto Facebook albums does not delete albums on facebook.com.
    It does next time you log into facebook.The idea is that you're using iPhoto to manage the material on FB and Flickr, so changes on iPhoto are synced to FB...

  • How to copy an album in iPhoto 6 from one drive volume to another?

    I downloaded some photos into three albums in a drive volume which I later archived for various reasons. How do I import those albums to my primary drive volume with the same iPhoto 6 vers. 6.0.6?
    Is it as easy as:
    File/ Import to Library/ Archive drive-volume/ Users/ Shared/ Pictures/
    iPhoto Library/ Originals/ folder year/ Roll#. Select photos to import.
    I've not done this before and would hate to run into some "potholes" and unintended consequences.
    Thanks.

    I downloaded some photos into three albums
    Are you talking about albums or rolls? They are vastly different. The rest of your post sounds like you want to transfer photos from rolls not albums
    Basically the safe and correct way is to open the library in iPhoto (if it is not the current library launch iPhoto while depressing the option (alt) key and use the select library option and export the photos then switch back to the other library and import them
    But depending on what you really mean and what you really want to do it may be different

  • Help with Importing Photo Albums from Iphoto

    I have created a bunch of albums in iphoto and wish to transfer them to my ipod. However, when i go to the photos tab of itunes when my ipod is plugged in and i try to select Sync from Iphoto it says that i have 0 photos in iphoto. i have tried selecting individual folders of photos to import and that works just fine, but i want to be able to select the albums that i already created in iphoto.
    thanks for your help

    Apologies, you're right, it should be albumdata.xml.
    Have a read of this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=778068&tstart=0
    About 2/3'rds of the way down, DaveE has the following post:
    - View your albumdata.xml file in some text editor, like TextEdit.
    - Do a Find (cmd f) for "List of Keywords"
    - The XML under that looks kind of like this:
    <dict>
    <key>1</key>
    <string>Favorite</string>
    <key>6</key>
    <string>Birthday</string>
    <key>3</key>
    </dict>
    You will probably have more keywords, this is just an example. But see the format - everything that has <something> ends with </something>.
    When I had the problem, the example above looked like:
    <dict>
    <key>1</key>
    <string>Favorite <key>6</key>
    <string>Birthday</string>
    <key>3</key>
    </dict>
    Notice the line return and </string> are missing for "Favorite". This happened to one of my keywords, and I don't know what caused it, but I deleted that keyword (and the one after it) from within iPhoto's preferences, and typed them in again.
    The problem went away. Maybe some bogus character got into the keywords to make the XML go bad.
    So try to use the method above to identify which keyword might have a problem, rather than go on a witch hunt and waste a lot of time. Of course, your problem could be different from mine entirely, but my iLife apps had the same problem you described.
    Try it and see if it helps.
    Regards
