How to import Images from Aperture to Adobe Bridge

It seems as if my aperture vault cannot be accessed from Adobe Bridge. As I ofter use the camera RAW it would be nice to assess the files in Aperture with the step of Export Master to Desktop.
Thanks.
Jack

after adobe bridge is installed. Go to aperture preferences. Choose export in the preferences apne then external editor. and choose adobe Bridge in you applications.
Works great and only took a day to figure out.

  • How to import images from iPhone 5 into Lightroom 4?

After a recent iTunes software update, I can't import images from my iPhone 5 into Lightroom 4.  Now Lightroom doesn't even recognize that the iPhone is connected, nor does the Finder, which explains why I can't choose it as an import source.  Instead the iPhone only shows up in iTunes when connected.  Surely someone else has run into this issue.  Any known solutions/suggestions/work-arounds?

  • How do I import images from Aperture into Lightroom 5?

I've just installed Lightroom 5 onto my Mac.  I waited for it to ask me which image management software I wanted to use as default (I currently use Aperture); then I went looking to find the 'source' to enable me to import images.  It doesn't recognise Aperture or the 3000+ images held in its folders.
How can I import the images?

Have you tried some of the online articles?

  • IPhoto won't import images from Aperture.

I export images to a jpg version at 1024 X 1024. Preview can open them, Photoshop Elelments 3 can open them, but IPhoto refuses to import them as they are "an unrecognizable file type or the files may not contain valid data".
Any ideas what is going on?

Where did you export them to? Into the iPhoto Library Folder? Because iPhoto will not import pics from the iPhoto Library Folder - a sensible precaution against duplication. So, export to the desktop and import from there.

  • How to import images from web via CSV in Indesign CS4?

    Hi,
I am using Indesign CS4 and i want to import pictures from my homepage.
I have a CSV export from a database with products and the url to the
product picture. I want to import the information for the products and
the picture via data merge. I added the @ in the name of the column
where the url to the pictures is. Everything works perfect when I use
a lokal path, but I need to get the pictures from the website.
Is it possible to import pictures from a website via CSV data merge?
What steps are needed for that?
Would be great if you could help me.
    Best Regards.

thank you all for your answers, that was what i thought.
yes, it starts with http://domainnaime.... it's from an extern webspace
then i will backup all pictures and put them in the local network and try over ip-address if that also won't work then I'll copy then locally
altough, it would be great if it works via ip-address

  • Importing photos from iphoto to adobe bridge

Ultimately I want to put all my photos on adobe bridge and use iphoto as a way to easily update my website. I did not know if there was a seamless way to properly take all of my photo files from iphoto and put them with adobe bridge.
Sorry if I am not making any sense... I have been trying to set up my new computer right and I am 6 hours into it and my head is spinning lol.

Here are some tips on using Photoshop with iPhoto:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 6 the Saving File preferences should be configured: "On First Save: Save Over Current File". Also I suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu). This way you get the best of both worlds

If you're editing RAW files from within iPhoto with PS you must save the edited version to the Desktop and import as a new file.

  • How to import album from Aperture 3?

On latest osx. Aperture 3.5.1. Keynote 6.2.
Can't seem to import an ALBUM from Keynote Media Browser showing Aperture library—individual photo work by drag and drop.
    Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks,

I think you need to ask this in the Aperture forum.

  • Caption not shown when importing images from Aperture

    I have iWeb '08 and Aperture 2.1.2.
I can see all the photos inside Aperture through iWeb's media browser, which is good. However, when I drag a photo from the browser onto a "photo" page (or drag an entire album onto an "album" page) the only thing displayed under the photograph is the file name. No caption is displayed.
What do I need to do so the caption is displayed? I don't want to re-type the caption in iWeb.
Also, is it possible for iWeb to display further metadata from the photograph (such as "credit" to show the author of the photograph).
    Thanks for the help,
    Julian

    The script is as follows:
    try
    tell application "iPhoto"
    activate
    copy (my selected_images()) to these_images
if these_images is false then error "Please select the images to include in the summary."
set the image_count to the count of these_images
repeat with i from 1 to the image_count
    set this_photo to item i of these_images
    tell this_photo
set the title to the comment
    end tell
    end repeat
    end tell
    on error error_message number error_number
    tell application "iPhoto"
    activate
if the error_number is not -128 then
display dialog error_message buttons {"OK"} default button 1
    end if
    end tell
    end try
    on selected_images()
    tell application "iPhoto"
    try
    -- get selection
    set these_items to the selection
-- check for single album selected
if the class of item 1 of these_items is album then error
-- return the list of selected photos
    return these_items
    on error
    return false
    end try
    end tell
    end selected_images
I got it from MacOSXHints: AppleScript to copy iPhoto Description to Title
When you're done (at least for iPhoto) you can use the Photos->Batch Change->Title to File Name to restore the file names in iPhoto.

  • How to move images from Picasa to Lightroom 5 on a mac?

How to import images from Picasa to Lightroom 5 on a mac?

    Hi, lnmyers,
I have thousands of pictures stored in Picasa, all of which are stored in my Picasa Web Albums. They are no longer in a directory on my hard-drive, that particular hard-drive having died ages ago. Thank goodness I uploaded them to Picasa's cloud before the hard-drive died. Should that ever darken, I am in trouble. I digress. I downloaded the pictures I wanted from Picasa Web Albums to my new external hard-drive that I set up and attached to my mac. For example:  I had a an album called "California 2013" stored in the Picasa cloud. I downloaded the entire album to a folder on my Seagate external drive that I call Lightroom within which I have a folder called California 2013. It took about twenty minutes to get them all (300+ photos). Then, I pointed LR to the California 2013 folder on the Seagate external drive when I wanted to catalogue the pictures into LR. I did not worry about metadata; I took whatever came with the pictures and didn't worry about it. I added copyright, keywords, and ownership info with LR.
    I hope that helps.

  • How do I import multiple images (from Aperture) to multiple pages in Pages?

I can select and drag multiple images from Aperture to Pages, but they all are inserted on the same page. If I have 100 images, can I force Pages to insert one image on each of 100 pages?
    Thanks,

Burn for what purpose? To share with others?
Export the photos to a folder on the Desktop. Burn that with the Finder. Result: a folder of images that any computer can read.
Using iPhoto's Burn command creates an iPhoto Library on the disk and is suitable only for others also using the same version of iPhoto.
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
Note that rewriteable disks do not necessarily mean that you can append files to them, and require special burning software to do so.

  • How do I get images from Aperture into print shop for mac?

    Friends,
I have Print Shop for Mac and Aperture. How do I get images from Aperture into Print Shop? I'musing managed images with previews. Is there any option besides exporting to the desktop and importing?
    Thanks!
    Steve

if you have previews turned on in Aperture and they're all genereated, you can simply drag-n-drop them into any application (just about). drag-n-drop is essentially the same as copy/paste as long as the application is setup to accept "drops" onto its windows.
otherwise, if you're running Leopard (10.5) as your version of Mac OS X, when you import (or whatever it is in PrintShop), you should get a file selection dialog. from here, scroll down the left-hand side bar set of icons. near the bottom is a group called "Media". click on the triangle to open the group, choose Photos, and from here you should see an Aperture icon. click this and you'll see your whole library (or at least the portion of it that you have previews generated for. select the photo you want and viola!

How do I import images from my hard drive without losing resolution? My original files after import are significantly smaller. What should I do?

Hi Keith, and all others chiming in, I do have the correct option checked in advanced settings telling iPhoto to copy the images into the library. What is a refernced library? Perhaps this is where I am getting confused. I exported my entire photo library from an old iMac5 to my external hard drive, from there I attempted to import the entire library to my new iMac. Am I overlooking an obvious and easy way to import from the hard drive to the new iMac--I dragged the entire photo pholder from the hard drive to the open window of iPhoto on the new computer. Now, I only get preview file sizes in iPhoto, unless I have my external drive open. Perhaps I need to import the original images from the hard drive in a different way...?! (This is making me feel pretty stupid.)
