How to Import into Lightroom 3 from Photoshop elements 8?

I just installed Lightroom 3 and bypassed the option to import my pics from from Photoshop elements 8 (to see what other options were available. Lightroom advanced a page and there seems to be no way to return to the previous page, I've closed the page & reopened a few times.
I cannot locate where PSe8 stores it's files either so that is not an option. How do I reset lightroom to import my old files? Thank you.
I also see "upgrade files" but have no idea what this means & don;t see it explained; seems users are to already know the software before buying it. Thanks again!
BTW, I have tried to avoid posts in the past with my other software so not sure how I will receive the reply - assume I'll get an email.

It is not clear that he has imported it as wmv or pdf, but the slideshow has to be imported in such a manner that it can still be edited (Captions, effects etc.)
Creating a wmv or pdf will not allow the same.

As i understood, your requirement is to POST data from UI to backend.
The above code you given is not correct if you want to use model based implementation.
In UI5 you don't need to do an explicit Ajax call, for which we can use Models like OData, JSON etc.
For your JSON example, you can use like,

In the back of my mind it seems like I might have seen a CD concerning my HP monitor but I'm not sure. Yes I did see a CD concerning a 15" 17" & 19" screen. I just looked everywhere and can't find a thing. I just remembered I have a (HP vs17e) with small speakers in the bottom corners and I saw that CD about 3 weeks ago. Maybe it will turn up if I keep looking?
About 5 years ago when I was using Lightroom or #1, I remember importing My Pictures from windows xp into the Library Space and picking a Folder to highlight and it would go right into the folder section of Lightroom (no problem). Now now there are 3 screens (2 large ones and 1 small screen and I am totally confused. I've been sick for 3 years and haven't taken any photos for 3 years. Today I shared my 3 folders from My Pictures in windows xp with Lightroom 3.6 and nothing happened in 3.6. So I moved my folders back to My Documents and then drugged the folders to (My Pictures Folder) in My Documents. Now my 3 folders are back in My Pictures in windows xp. Yesterday I had all 3 folders in 1 folder titled E: (much too large) and then the large folder was missing this morning from Lightroom 3.6. When you click on My Pictures in 3.6 you get Sample Pictures...... I deleted the Sample photos from my My Pictures in windows xp but haven't tried clicking on 3.6 (I started working on these 2 problems at 8:00am it's now 7:30pm).

Importing into bridge from photoshop album

Hi. I have Photoshop Album 2. As it is long outdated, I want to import all the tags, etc from the photos into Adobe Bridge. I have not found a way to do so.
From searching Adobe support, it appeared that the next best shot was to migrate the photos with tags into Photoshop.com. However, this also does not work as the instructions say to select to share to photoshop.com.

This does not work because the photoshop album, does not offer the choice of sharing with photoshop.com, even after I tried every variety of adding that option in.

I know nothing about photoshop album. But I would first check to see how the key words are written in that program. In Photoshop elements, and Lightroom they are written to a database.
In PS elements one can select an option "write keyword and tags to photo". This will put the data on the image and can then be read by Bridge.
See it there is such an option for PS album.

How to import B & W from Photoshop CS2

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so be gentle! <g>
I'm trying to make a slideshow, mixing color and black-and-white images. All of these images are scanned, from prints or slides. The b&w images are then converted from 16-bit RGB to 8-bit grayscale, then edited in Photoshop CS2, then imported into iPhoto.
(Just as a sidenote of possibly dubious relevance, the color images begin digital life as 16-bit, the grayscale as 8-bit.)
These images look fine as 8-bit grayscale images in CS2, but when I import them into iPhoto, either in a batch, or individually, they show up as black rectangles. If I click on the rectangle, I see a negative of my image.
This used to work ok, before I upgraded both to CS2 and iPhoto 6. How can I get this to work again?
I have both a 15-inch G4 Powerbook, and a dual 2.7 GHz G5 PowerMac, running the current system and the same version of all software. The PB has 2 GB of RAM, the tower 3.5 GB.

Problems with image names when exporting - images that have come back into lightroom from photoshop

Can anyone help ? When I need to take an image from lightroom into photoshop then back into lightroom and then I export that image, the original file number disappears and is replaced by dashes. Does anyone know how to solve this ?

The appearance of dashes usually suggests some kind of pre-set e.g.
Wedding-20150106-0001.jpg
The only suggestion I can make is that you check to ensure you are using the correct parameters in the templates manager.

Importing a catalog from Photoshop Elements 7

I upgraded my Windows Vista machine to Windows 8, and my Photoshop Elements 7 disappeared. I recently installed Photoshop Elements 11, and I want to import the catalog from my original Photoshop Elements 7. How do I do this?

How do you move collections from Photoshop Elements 5.0 to Photoshop Elements 13?

I have an old laptop with Photoshop elements 5.0 and wanted to move that program to my newer PC but the program was too old so I bought and loaded Photoshop Elements 13 on my PC. To import my photos from the 5.0 I did a full backup on a flash drive and then loaded the pictures to the PC with 13. The pictures are there but none of my collections from 5.0. I read the manual and said I was supposed to be prompted to convert old catalogs. I was never prompted and do not know how to transfer my collections in my catalog from 5.0 to the 13.

What you are doing is not only to install a newer version of PSE, it's also to migrate to a new computer.
The general solution is to do a full organizer backup on an external drive and do an organizer restore to the new computer (or new drive).
Use Backup, Restore to move catalog | Organizer | Elements 6 or later
The problem is that since PSE5 is an old version working with a different database engine, you must first use a conversion utility to create a PSE13 version.

So read that paper carefully, do the backup restore and conversion as described.

How to sync an Album from Photoshop Elements 9 to an IPad?

I have editd lots of pictures in Photoshop Elements 9 and put them into an album in a particular order. Is there a way to sync the album from Photoshop to an IPad without losing the sequence in which I have arranged the photos? So far they come up in some sort of date order which is not what I want. Transferring the pictures into iPhoto and then rearranging them would be too much of a task as there are hundreds of them.
Anybody out there with a bright idea?

If you are referring to a music album that you've purchased from iTunes then you can only transfer all purchases over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, you can't just copy a single album

Issue with Metadata when importing 30K images from Photoshop Elements 7

I'm a new mac user and am moving ~30k images from my PC to my mac. I have photoshop elements 7 that I use on the pc and am moving everything over to Aperture. I maintain all of my organization on the PC using "key words". I made sure to move all of the metadata over to the Mac with the images. However, I would say approx 5,000-10,000 of the images have the wrong Metadata. For example, a key-word "Vacation" is showing up on an image that should say "Christmas". This is just an example and it's creating major issues with my smart albums. The wrong images are in the wrong albums. Help!?!?

Is anyone familiar with PSEDBTOOL? I've been told it will do a good job applying metadata to files inside PSE but I'm afraid to run it and have it screw up my current library.
I'm not familiar with that tool. What I will say is that your caution is well founded. If you do try to run anything like that on the PC side, ensure first that you have a backup of any data that might be modified - and that you (a) know how to restore from the backup in case anything goes pear-shaped and (b) you've actually tested your backup (by doing a restore) and are confident with its integrity.
One other thought has occurred to me since earlier. Let's try a different tool...
– Locate one of your problematic master files - on the Mac side - as exported from PhotoShop Elephants.
– Open it in Preview. (It lives in the Applications folder.)
– Select +Tools > Show Inspector+ (if the Inspector is not already showing from an earlier session).
– Click on the Inspector icon which resembles a simplified traditional magnifying glass.
That displays the keywords in the file.
How do they compare with your expectations (from PSE)? How do they compare with what's showing in Aperture?
This won't solve the problem, but it might just shed some more light on the problem.

I want to upload a certain dialog of my Photoshop Elements software to my post. I understand the camera icon must be clicked. And I understand upload must be clicked at the end. But what is the procedure to navigate to the Photoshop Elements dialog after clicking the camera icon?

If using Windows 7 or Vista use the snip tool found in Accessories.
Drag out the red outline around the portion of the screen you want to capture and then save as jpeg. You can then upload that image.

Can I import a catalogue from Photoshop Elements to Photoshop CS5

I have 5000 photos organised in catalogues in my old Elements and have just upgraded to Photoshop CS5 Extended edition running under Windows 7 64 bit. Is it possible to import my existing catalogues into CS5 or do I need to recreate them all again?

You may be able to PLAY the video out to an external recording device, such as a VCR or a DVD recorder
